    Chapter 5

I had a lover who was an idetical twin. They were both gay and yet never discussed being "gay". They had even had the same lover for a time.... about two years apart. Strange huh? But if I ever told the truth is is one of those rare ocassions. Forgive me it just slipped out.

    Chapter 3

Positive comments are always welcomed. When they come from someone whose work I admire, means so much more. Thank you.

    Chapter 4

You have identified the goals I set for writing this story... Thanks
  7. There are rumors... Tom might be. Actually think he tried to play down the straight womanizer role.... Beside, I was in the Navy ssooo an I'm not gay... oh no wait that's from "in and out'... never mind.
  8. Well, a worse homophobe is Opie...(Ron Howard) he refused to include seven years in which the "A Beautiful Mind" main character lived in a relationship with another man.... When asked why he chose to ignore those seven years he said, "that was an unfortunate period".
  9. LOL! How could I have overlooked him? I am ashamed of myself. Perhaps he had a spell which made him appear normal... What mainstream channel is his show on?
  10. I have encouraged my sons with the addage that life is full of regrets most are things we did not do.... so do something you might regret... This I shared after they were grown.
  11. I cannot recall a single "gay" character on mainstream TV that was anywhere close to normal. It just doesn't sell soap.
  12. As a child each year was a mile stone. As I grew age became associated with activities, dating, driving, drinking, voting. I think I remember thirty as being a watershed... but then fourty was one also. Now at sixty, I realize age whether young or old is really a matter of perception and abilities... too young... too old. perceptions and abilities.

    Chapter 1

The warm wind directed by the cranked out vent window made my shirt flutter against my chest. The breeze kept my face dry but did nothing to alleviate the streams of sweat trickling down my back and pooling at the waistband of my wranglers. I unsnapped my shirt and let the breeze eat up the sheen of sweat on my chest. The droplets that collected on the hairs tickled like a thousand mosquitoes trying to gain access to my flesh. I tucked the shirt between my back and the seat in an effort to soak

    T.R.'s Tale

Dissilusioned by the heartbreak he found in the big city, T R is returning to the familiar yet different small town Texas.

    Chapter 1

Expanding this is a great idea. It has the makings of a saga. I would read it.

    St. Vincent

By tattoo I mean the "Brotherhood" brand... I think you knew that. I wonder how long you can hold off without showing it... I know it is coming. In any case this is a stroy I thoroughly enjoy... please writefasterpostsooner. more please

    Chapter 11

    and still no tattoo... sigh

    Uclaimed Hearts

Thanks, I am glad my efforts entertain.I am more than a little surprised as to how well my stories have been recieved.
  19. Wow! (bet you will see a lot of that word.) It was great! It ended in a trailor... how fitting. Thanks for the ride-along nowhere man.
  20. Amazing....poor Blake all ready to actually step out of himself with conviction and it is headlessly overcome byHaze's hunger..... Me thinks reviews have no impact on the sped of your writing or posting.... I think you have a cruel streak and love the torture you inpart with slooooww posting. more please

    Chapter 1

Came here because of the announcement of, "Promising Author". I like the feeling this story evoked... hard to describe. I would read too much, were all stories like this one. I like the way it built slowly, comfortably and with a "promise" at the end. Good work. more please
  22. Strange, I am not sure I "have fun" in writing... It just is. You know I already admire your skill. Thanks for the advice. I try the approach you suggest.... the question is do I succeed?

    Chapter 1

I was looking at the question and your helpful response and decided to see if there were any hints within the reiews... That is when I saw I had not answered your review. thank for the kind words. Jim
  24. I do ask myself, "how would he feel...? what would he say?" That is how I get the dialog. The more I see the helpful comments... the more I question, "Do I have a problem"? thanks for your insights. jim
  25. As I read your post I thought, "I do those things. I 'channel' each character. Even when my editor offered a change in dialog with which I disagreed, I put the words in my character's mouth to see if they fit. I have decided what I really need is a confirmation that I have a "problem". I read your story, "War is in the hearts of Men". I was impressed, very insightful. It was good enough that I respect your opinion. I have two relatively short stories posted which I feel have different characters with distinct voices. I would appeiciate it if you and any other interested folks, would read them and offer an opinion.... I ASK THAT YOU NOT POST A REVIEW! This is not about enhancing my standing on GA..... this is a serious issue to me, as a new writer. There are sexually explicit scenes in both stroies... well maybe depending upon your definition. They are "Noy yet Doc" and "Unclaimed Hearts", they are "different". The question I now have is, "Do I have a problem as a writer"? I know I have a challenge with syntax.... I have had the services of two folks kind enough to offer assistance. Still there are gliches. Thanks for your time and your thoughtful post. Jim
