  1. Ibuprofen--It is must see TV. I have never seen another show so closely resemble parts of my life. Ok I just came to a shocking realization. Peter, The DEA agent Nancy just married Is played by Martin Donovan. Martin Donovan is also a co-star in the movie Saved!. If you haven't seen Saved!, It is a must see movie. Dark religous humor. The only acceptable form of religous humor to be tolerated. Anyway, Mary-Louise Parker, who plays Nancy on Weeds, Plays the mom of Mary in the movie, And has an affair with him! It kinda makes the show a little more interesting, They really seem to click together onscreen. It should be interesting to see how the marriage between DEA Agent/Dime Bag Supplier. I wonder when/if they will tell the kids!
  2. Ok, I don't know if anyone watches the show "Weeds" on TV or not, But last night I was laughing so hard my side actually hurt.. There is a must see speech from Uncle Andy to Shane. Shane is at that age where things start happening. I wish I had had an Uncle Andy when I was a kid Uncle Andy delivers a speech with so many puns and perversions I couldn't count them all after watching it 4 times last night. And I have never seen a kid's face light up so much at being given homework. It's on again a few times this week on Showtime. Even if you don't watch the show or aren't a pot-head, It is worth it to watch it just for this part. The older Brother Silas also gets busy with his deaf girlfriend for anyone who is interested in that sort of thing.
  3. Happy Birthday Kaiten! I hope you have a great day and find something fun to do with yourself, At least spoil yourself a little!
  4. Sorry Kurt. I don't mean to burst you bubble But I've never called it a bubbler. I was born and raised in St. Paul. I call them drinking fountains. Water fountains are outside or in malls and have coins in them and are not meant for drinking. I have heard the term bubbler though, Just never knew what it meant. And Kohler is definitely the biggest name in water fixtures, Im not surprised you use a Kohler term living on that side of the state. It's all good!
  5. Robbie, Do you say things like that just to see if im paying attention? Because you make me sooo dam hot sometimes...... EDIT: WOO HOO! MY 300TH POST!!!!

  11. AOL does suck. I used to use their overpriced service. I was suckered in by their free months of service to get you hooked on their crappy service. I got 3 months free. I called to cancel after the 3 months. They gave me another free month to make sure i didn't want their service. I was to busy to call back next month to cancel. So I paid for 1 month. $28.45. The next month i called to cancel again. Another free month. I do balieve I had them for just over a year, And only paid them maybe 4 months total. When I finally did cancel, It was because my computer had quit and I couldnt get it fixed right away, And I wasn going to be paying for something i wasn't using. They tried everything to get me to stay on though, I finally told them my computer was dead and I couldn't afford a new one. They offered to connect me to Dell or Gateway to see if I could get a new one on credit. It was just ridiculous. They finally told me that my account would reamin active for 3 months and that if I got a machine running again all I had to do was sign on again and that would reactivate my account. So later that same day after I "fixed" my computer by removing AOL(let me tell you that is no easy task ) I installed NetZero and have been happy paying $12.45 a month for much more reliable service Snowy, That's just wrong. You know I told you that in confidence, And now I have to tell everyone that you brought up that subject by telling me how your puppy tastes. (nasty comment deleted here because even I found it offensive after reading it)

  16. I would have to agree, In. Physical contact and me doesn't mix well. Oil & Water type situations. It might happen, but very briefly if ever. I don't know why, Maybe it stems from no physical contact as a child. Whatever, I really can't recall a time in my life I have been comfortable giving or getting a hug. I do ocassionally have to give one or take one, Such as when I leave for months at a time my Mom always needs a hug from me when I go and when I get back. It is irritating, but it is easier than getting the hurt look from her(That happened the first time I went to texas, I didn't hug her before I got on the bus and the look she had was just too much to see again) And my grandma always hugs me whenever I go to see her. I would have to say the most awkward hugs Ive ever had to take(Ones where the initial response was to push the other person away, But pulled back from doing it at the last possible moment) was when I was in Oregon for my Great Grandpa Gene's funeral in April. Luckily, I wasn't very talkative and I would say 45% of the relatives there didn't even know who I was, Or they would have been all over me too. I do give some online hugs, but only with people I know from GA. I guess I'm just more comfortable around the great people here(or maybe its the lack of actually being touched) and that makes it easier. I don't know for sure, And I'm not gonna try to annalyze any further because that can lead to bad things. Edit: PS And i know the reaction of other people just stopping and looking at you, In disbelief because they see you hugging someone. It happened to me at Lindseys wedding in June. I hugged Lindsey a few times throughout the day and I made people stop and stare. It was almost worth it just for that reaction!
  17. I'm also concerned. I don't like the sound of that. I generally have a rule that I won't start a new story until it has at least 10 chapters already, And I really did good this time. I just read OS today. I really was gonna wait, But then I was bored and thought to myself, "Hey, He is Dom freaking Luka, You know you will be hooked as soon as you read the first 2 paragraphs", And so I started reading and 4 chapters later, I just want more. So I surely hope Dom doesnt mean he's DONE as in retiring after WT is done. That would really bum me out.
  18. Count on it! LMAO Kurt, I know you kick ass. yes we do I think we should kick Nate' ass! yes we should--But you gotta realize he's just a mudduck
  19. Dom, *hugs* I'd use the emoticon, but it is too happy looking to use when tears are rolling down your face.
  20. Yep I must say I am laughing my ass off. Awesome Joe!
  21. WTG Camy!!!
  22. Hmmm ... I think I could probably be persuaded to do that ... *taps foot impatiently and looks at his watch*
  23. Happy Birthday JS
  24. LOL Your not "feeling the car". You have to become one with the car. Let it tell you what to do. Simple instructions. Go to a flat empty road. That is the best place to learn to feel the car. just practise starting out and stopping. Stay in first gear for a while. Once you get first gear down, All the rest are easy. first things first. When you push the clutch, It is basically in neutral. It will roll freely. Some people dont realize that. When you first start out, If done correctly, The gas pedal is hardly needed. Just slowly let off the clutch until it starts to move. As soon as it starts to move, Lightly hit the gas pedal as you are still letting off the clutch at the same slow rate. You can't let off the clutch too fast though or it will kill on you. As with anything new to you though, All it really takes is practise. And some foot coordination. Just be patient with yourself.
  25. It really is personal preference and nothing more these days, Unless you drive an large truck. I just have always known how to operate a clutch. Having half of the vehicles made off limits to me just was never an option. And as far as I know, They don't make farm machinery with automatics. My problem nowadays is when i drive an automatic--Every time I slow down my left foot is going for the clutch whether it is there or not. Oh and a manual is much faster, proven time and time again than any automatic in the same vehicle. As long as the person driving it knows how to drive it anyway. It does take a little bit of finesse. And you are definitely more in touch with the vehicle. I do like a manual for going through the mountains, Just because it saves on the brakes so much when you can use the engine to slow you down. You can downshift an automatic to slow you down, but heat is the #1 killer of automatic transmissions, So I never do it. But a BMW manual sounds like fun--I have heard that they can really move!!!
