  4. Yeah. Finally have the computer working so I can do this properly. Congratulations Cassie! It is well deserved. Now go back to work. I think we are supposed to do a lot more writing now.
  5. So the gay man of honor is running off a week before the wedding from hell is due to take place. The poor bride couldn't have had any more issues, could she? Loved it Kitt.

    Chapter 1

You left it very clear with his final response, "But Jeremy I loved you." The simple fact that it is not I love but loved tells volumes here. Nicely handled all the way through. He was the dirty little secret, but he has grown beyond that and beyond Jeremy from the sounds of it. Congrats.

    A Family Wedding

I'm not sure Kitt, but this was a take off of my brother and sister-in-laws wedding. Disaster doesn't cover it.
  9. HI Carrie,I don't know how I missed this review. Thank you so much for reading and commenting. Yeah choices are always up to you. Glad you enjoyed the story. As for Comic Con's, well I've spent way too much at them. I've even done Anime Cons. Interesting things to attend.

    Chapter 1

Kitt, Sometimes we just aren't aware of how much we can come to mean or change someone else. The support, the smile, or the willingness to listen can change someone's whole world, and they might never even know it. That is the beauty and the pain of life. - Wayne

    Chapter 1

Thank you for reading. Most of my tales end. Happily ever after, but there are some dark tales mixed in as well. Hopefully you will give some of my other works a chance.

    Chapter 1

I think we all go through changes, big and small. Sometimes we are lucky and have someone by our side. Other times we have to face the changes alone. How we do shows the character we have.

    Chapter 1

Wte don't always know what is going to change us or to what degree. Afterwards we are all left to see what we have become, better or worse.

    Chapter 1

All I can think of is an old saying after reading your review, no good deed goes unpunished. Rock grew and changed, Calvin changed too. Whether those changes are for the better we just don't know.

    Chapter 1

Thank you. I don't usually go for a lot of unanswered questions. I usually do happily ever after, but every now and then a sad tale comes out. Glad you enjoyed.
  19. Aww. Thanks for the spotlight.
  20. Oh lord I have a list. Charlie Brown, Garfield, Ziggy, Marvin the Martian, Pepe le Pew, and Bugs Bunny sort of leap to mind. Same question

    Chapter 1

The darkness under the bridge kept him from ever having to deal with the possible damage the sun could cause him. Unlike most of his kind, he really didn’t care about anyone using his bridge, or much of anything else, as long as he was left alone. That is the thing about trolls; they do like their privacy. Unfortunately, this wasn’t going to be the case for this troll, for he was to meet Calvin, who would change his whole world. The rain had been falling steadily for two days now, here in the e

    Troll

When you live your life as a solitary being, change can be frightening. When you have a human dropped into your life things can be complicated for a troll.
  23. Yes, I know it has been a while but I finally have something complete and ready to share. The story should be up before today is over. I have been working with something new and I have gone back to my favorite sort of tale, one that revolves around growing up and changing. My tale is about Troll. There are many types of trolls. Some are big, scary, and march through the sunlight and give everyone who sees them nightmares. Some are smaller, strong, but can't go out into the sunlight or they will turn to stone. This is what type of troll the story surrounds. Troll is a bridge troll. He lives under his bridge and just longs to be left alone. However, that isn't what happens. A boy named Calvin lands in the middle of his world and changes it forever. So read Troll and let me know what you think.
  24. Uh oh, is it Friday already? Where did the week go? I swear I was, well, never mind. So here we are again ladies and gents about to face another weekend. Some of us just keep right on going about our lives while others are preparing for school or have just returned. Before everyone is overwhelmed, well, I have a few things for you to look over and consider. Might you have time to write one more little story? It is prompt time. Prompt 256 – Creative Tag - List of Words Use the following in a story – apple tree, broken fence, horse, phone, and a doctor. Prompt 257 – Creative Tag – Encounter It has been years since you have even thought about your first love. However they were on the news today and before you had a chance to find out why there is a knock on your front door. As you answer you find yourself face to face with them. What brought about this encounter? Last week we had takers for both prompts and someone even went back to dig out one of the older prompts and did a good job with it as well. However, I was touched by Sasha Distan's take on prompt 254. The original prompt asked you to use the first line "Since when is that acceptable?” Now you know there is more to the story and I'm sure you want to read it. You can find Sasha's story and a lot more here - http://www.gayauthors.org/forums/topic/37497-prompt-254-creative/ Our other prompt from last week had a number of attempts as well and they can be found here - http://www.gayauthors.org/forums/topic/37498-prompt-255-creative/ Don't forget to read, review, and let the authors know what you liked about their work. If you are feeling that you have grown and are ready to join the bigger writing crowd don't forget the Fall Anthology. The subject is Pandora's Box and has to be submitted by the 8th. So get cracking and create something wonderful for us all to read. Till next week everyone, enjoy.
  25. I think it is important every now and then to take a moment and think about the various good things that are happening, especially when so many things are going wrong. Right now I have friends who are watching loved ones dying, facing cancer, or just surgery for various health reasons. They have faced other issues with their health and family, yet they find the strength daily to keep getting up, facing the world, and moving forward. No one said it was easy, or that it wouldn't be painful, but they do it. Luckily for them, they have the support of friends, family, and some have the support of friends they have made here on the site. I've had my share of troubles this year. I can't complain though. I have had a number of blessings come my way as well. For every back pain, broken heart, and other issue, I've had friends to stand by me, think of me, send me cards and a cookbook. I've been promoted to Hosted here on the site and I still get to drive everyone nuts with my prompts weekly. I even get to pick the brains of the entire site when I announced my love of smurfs. (Thank you again. In less than three days I managed to get 11 of the 16 due to the advice given to me.) So even when things go wrong and you feel out of it, remember to look for the people and things that make you smile and help to ease your day to day life. A little thank you now and then can go a long way to making everyone have a better day.
