Sam, These are always so bitter sweet. You keep hoping for the best, but there is always such an element of pain to them. Beautifully told.

Wow. The world of a pop singer in a the closet. I don't know why but Ricky Martin was there in my mind even though you said Italian. Beautiful story.
-
You wove everything in there very neatly. I really enjoyed this story. You could feel how depressed he was and see how badly things were going. Nicely done all around. Can't wait to read the rest.

Love the song and love most of the remakes. lol

I'm sorry to hear that things are going so rough Yettie. It isn't easy when the child becomes the parent or when you have to deal with losing the one you love bit by bit. Just remember to take time for yourself as well. As hard as it is just remember who she was and try to make days like today events you can remember without too much pain. hang in there.

Sounds like have made some hard decisions. Sometimes you find out who has been hoping for the best and waiting for you to make your move. Sounds like you are making a difference and it is having a positive response in your life. I wish you all the best. I am sorry to hear that it was bittersweet, KC. As time passes and I do and go to the places that were important to my mother, I find it brings me pleasure now. Just hang out when you can with JJ and make the memories with her that you remember and enjoy so much of your mother and grandmother. My best you always bud.

Hi Friday, As you can see I'm a little slow getting back to this thread. Glad to see a new face and hope you enjoy it here. Hi Princely Orange Peel, Hope you don't mind if I simply call you POP from now on. Glad to have you out of lurker status and able to read and comment on what you like. Enjoy. Nathan, Granted I met you in chat but you tried to confuse me and give me a different name. Bad Nathan. Have fun. Marky, You seem very at home in chat as well. Glad you are here and hope you get to enjoy it all. Last but not least, Welcome Beloved. Always happy to see someone who seems to happy to get around. Enjoy, most of us are just a bit nuts. lol

“Just let me die before they find me.” Tenny struggled to put one foot in front of the other, but at least his side no longer burned from where he had been shot. Instead it felt numb like his legs and feet after the hours he had spent stumbling forward. He was feeling light headed and his vision was starting to darken, but he also felt the slight warmth of the sun as dawn slowly broke. For a moment he lifted his face to the sun and a tear slid down his pale face.

Created in a lab, TEN E is set to be bonded. The only problem is the possible bond mates are monsters. When the choices before him are horrid, he choices freedom instead, but at what cost?

Well some people are poets. I try to give them something they can enjoy as well, Andy.

Best news I've heard all day. Congrats Lacey. At least that is one less thing for you to worry about.

Working on it now, even as I type this KC. Hang in there. Swords, bowls, and the first of the love searches are on the horizon.

Writing Tip Writing Tip: How To Find A Beta
comicfan commented on Renee Stevens's blog entry in Writing World
Just a few comments to add because I have worked with a number of betas and as a beta for a number of writers. First - it is always best to know what both parties are looking for. Each person defines their beta slightly differently. Second - Be ready for honesty. As a beta usually the job is to find spots where a story goes astray, ideas are not clear, names are accidentally changed, or there are spots that seem choppy. A beta is there to help you catch these errors. They might also suggest ways to help you improve your story. Just remember these are suggestions and comments to help you focus on them. They are not there to rip you apart, or make you feel you can't write. They are there to help you. Comments are there as suggestions and not as something written in stone. You are the author and your beta will work to help you see possible problems in your story. A good writer/beta relationship is one where ideas and suggestions flow freely between the two. Best of luck on finding a beta who fits well with you. -
Thanks Billy. I'm always happy when someone likes the story I was working on.

Well Michael was a known element to them both. Tim, well, he is what he is. Don't worry. I plan to have him pop up again with something down the line in the story. Karma has its dues.

I was never a fan of throw away characters. If you meet someone once in an ongoing story of mine they usually appear again. Thanks for reading and commenting.

The ride to La Noche began in silence. My stomach was doing flip flops and I felt uncomfortable going on a blind date. Granted Jenny sat next to me with a big grin, but it wasn’t making me any calmer. I felt odd in the black and white outfit she had set out, but I had to admit that she looked good in her red dress. I knew her date was Michael, a guy we both knew in high school. He was a good looking guy, shy, and everyone at school knew that he had been trying to work up the ner

I loved so many of his stories but one of my favorites is still his Electric Grandmother, which was both an episode of the Twilight Zone and a movie. The original story was "I sing the Body Electric" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=52g2q6N10zQ

I just heard on the news of the passing of Ray Bradbury. The man was a genius with his writing. He wrote books, short stories, and for television. His works have been adapted to movies and he was one author who never gave up on what he wanted to write about. His works of the Illustrated Man, FAHRENHEIT 451, and the Martian Chronicles made huge marks on the science fiction landscape. He wrote for such shows as Alfred Hitchcock Presents and the Twilight Zone among many others. If you haven't read this incredible author you are doing yourself a disservice. He will be missed.
-
Yup never saw that one coming. You do have a way of twisting these prompts. Makes it so much fun to read them.
-
Well that was twisted. Poor doc never even had a chance. Then you have angels and demons mating. OMG. You twisted little genius. More.
