  1. Aww. Chance stepped in and tossed the two of them together. Glad to see that it isn't all one sided. Maybe now Ty will take the hint and the chance. Can't wait to see what you do next.

    Prompt 24

I've started this one four times and keeping trying to use letters I can't again. lol. Nice job on it.
  3. Uh oh. You are reading my main tale now KC. You might want to start with a few of the other short stories. I am sort of heading toward the home stretch now with Charlie and gang. I think it is going well but I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for reading KC and honest comments are always welcome.

    Trying to Pretend

Okay I had to stop and reread them all. Yes, I can do that. I'm getting mounting questions as I wait for you to put this all together. Can't help it. 1) Who the hell is Sarah? Is she Eli's mother? Ty's wife? Ty's sister? Yes, you dropped the name and I'm still waiting to find an answer. 2) When is poor Scott going to catch a break here? People call me cruel for making Charlie wait for dates. Scott doesn't even get that option. The romantic in me is dying for this poor guy to get something going. His sister has been made a mute, he had to pick up her car, and life in general seems to keep sidelining him. I feel bad for the poor guy. 3) Where is Eli going? Sorry, I'm a busy body and want to know these things. 4) I know these are flash pieces you are doing from prompts to help you organize your ideas but you are killing me with the waits between them. . Love you, Frosty, and can't wait for you go write some more. Fill this book you are writing up and don't take time to worry if you can do it, because we know you can.
  5. Well Scott is just that sort of guy. I don't know why everyone can't wait for Thanksgiving, I mean the last get together went so well. Glad you are enjoying this.
  6. Her laugh broke the silence. It had been so long since Jacob had heard the sound in the house he barely recognized it. The happy sound seemed odd in the silent house. He watched as his grandson stopped making funny faces at the little blonde angel whose happy giggles burst forth in high pitched joy. “Sh, Grace, we’ll go outside and play. You don’t want to bother everyone,” Bobby said to his little sister. She continued to giggle and followed him to the door while their father
  7. Well I am a romantic at heart. Just worked within the confines that Lugh set out. Glad you enjoyed it KC. Glad someone is reading it too.
  8. i work for a major electronics store. The tablets sell and are back a lot for returns. Unless you plan to just write skip the netbook. If you are thinking tablets, I hate to say it but the most flexible is still the Ipad. Get the keyboard and go.
  9. Well it was a case of using the four words and having the story end in a compromise. i think some things are easily worked out in daily life. It is just how you look at the puzzle pieces and decide how to use them. Thanks for the review Dannsar.
  10. I kept thinking an eggplant. I had the shape right at least. lol

You define your words and I want to laugh my tush off. Only you would do that Lugh. lol
  12. Hi Dannsar. In this instance American Indian because as a kid I played Cowboys and Indians. Teddy made the great Indian Sitting Bear. What can I say? I never was the average child.
  13. Well glad you got the visuals and it had an impact for you. These writing prompts do get your thought processes going.
  14. Christina was pissed off. There was no other way to put it as she stormed out of the kitchen. If Lou didn’t get his act together she was going to kill her husband for his sheer stupidity. “Why, in God’s name, did that idiot move my stool out of the kitchen?” she screamed at no one in particular as she clomped through the hallway to her home office. “Stupid idiot keeps saying I don’t need to worry about the top shelves because he is here. Stupid ass isn’t here all the time.”
  15. As I stood face to face with the woman in front of me I realized that I was in trouble. She was confident, strong, and nearly half my size. Anyone who says strength belongs to those who are large in size has never met anyone like Cassandra. The woman was the definition of control but then again she was also the sensei here. When you are a slender little kid being beaten up every time you turn around occasionally someone will decide you need to defend yourself. I was more in th
  16. Today we gather to say good-bye to a dear friend, Teddy Bear. Looking at Teddy today we see his cracked face, spots where the fur has been hugged off, the stitches where repairs were made, and little seam that use to hold his music box. One look at Teddy and you know this bear was loved and taken care of. When Teddy was new to the world, he was a dark brown bear with bright brown eyes, and big smiling face. His red tongue always looked like he had just taken a lick of a cherry
  17. Aww. Do you really think the Wagner family would be that hard on Scott? Although you know that a family get together has gone so well in the past.
  18. Aww. Do you really think the Wagner family would be that hard on Scott? Although you know that a family get together has gone so well in the past.
  19. Remember Scott may have stepped in but Charlie already is willing to take what may come from his involvement with Scott. He was just happy to see that Scott didn't want him to be uncomfortable but he isn't exactly hiding with his choices of where they go. I mean if they are going to local places he is going to be seen by the people in his area.
  20. Yeah you know how it is, a nice family get together. I mean what could go wrong, right?
  21. Well face it, KC. When do I ever do what is expected in a story?
  22. Chapter 20 – And Thanksgiving was Around the Corner Charlie lived his life as he normally would. He prepared his daily lessons, enjoyed his classes, and spent his evenings curled up with good books and wonderful music. He cooked what he liked and tried to pretend everything was normal. At least he did till Friday night rolled around. “Shit, what the hell am I going to wear tonight? God, damn it. I had to tell him lets be casual tonight. Let’s go to the
  23. Okay I have been on an Adele kick for months now. Don't as why cause I don't know but this one has been on my mind a lot.
  24. I'm glad you enjoyed it Renee. I hammered and rehammered this story before I gave it to Frosty who helped me get it into this final shape. I never know when someone's comment is going to inspire something but this one was worth it I hope.
  25. Okay i know you are working in as many prompts as you can here Frosty, and it is twisting you little tale up. hmm. Sounds like a cat for a moment. Anyway, at least we now have backstory for Mel. I still am waiting for you to get to the main show. You do realize you are writing a story now don't you? These might be small tales but like Lugh's Day stories they all tie together into one long tale. So don't ever hand me that bit of you can't write a long story. You are proving yourself wrong right here. Anyway, don't procrastinate too long and get your next one up.
