I think when things go wrong we all need our "Jenny" to turn to. Your best friend is the one you know, no matter what happens, is going to be there for you.
Memories can be bitter sweet things. I know you had an interesting relationship with your mom, with many ups and downs. Take what you can of the good my friend, and try to forgive and let go of the bad so they don't weigh you down. Any time you need one.
