  1. Most if not all of what he writes is stream of consciousness. that's why a paragraph of page space can occasionally be a sentence. I'd refer you to my interview in issue 38 for insight into my own rich and streamy writing. But Imagine-magazine .org is down. ( not a typo per se, I'm careful about creating outside links places I might not supposed to be). also this isn't my thread. XD I do like what I've skimmed MrM. I'm way too behind on both to read it yet.
  2. At least it wasn't your laptop. I'd knock on wood, but I'm at work, my fella is busy, and you don't know me well enough. Tee hee.
  3. I could basically repost my plan. Life, gets in the way. But the only option is to go through it
  4. Wasn't directed at you... I said And then Blind Ambitions quote, and then: I was directing that at Comicality. Seeing as he is the one with the weekly blog that we are all commenting on, I thought it might be a good article idea. but then I remembered he said something about it somewhere else. so you're not also the talking car? XD
  5. Indeed not. Uh... I swear I just hit quote. # I didn't do it
  6. Especially in murder mysteries. XD Okay, borrowing the roller coaster. ( will we hear about other rides in your amusement park later?) The middle is tricky for me. In the beginning you're roling down that first hill. (Weeeeee!) It flows there's momentum. To the physical act of writing, and to the story. At the bottom of each one, I tend to coast along, slowing down as I wander around looking for that next hilltop, and the next, and the next, and the next, and... I'm thinking out loud here, but I think my stories struggle because of that search. Even if I keep writing and following the characters thoughts, trying to follow where the characters are going, navigate my own mind to find that hill, and *if* I find it, herd my characters in the right direction. The story might get longer, but that stretch of wandering prose between hills is like deadweight on my mind. The momentum of the wider story stalls. Eventually stopping completely. *looks at the 5 or 6 stalled novels* Cutting the deadweight hasn't really occurred to me before. It's good writing, it's in character, these are natural little things that could happen next. I Part of the story, right? It's also slow and meandering and *cringe and mumble* it's boring. At least compared to the hills. It's part of my process that bled ono the page. Hmm... *some large animal noise* Hear that? My scrap bin is hungry. (Edit: I keep things I cut in a separate bin. Not the circular one.) * Cough * VampireMystic * Cough cough cough * Roller coaster fits with the "story pulling you along" bit, they're pulled through the track by big chsins. If i remember correctly. I've been stuck on the opening of chapter for a current project. (I should have stayed up another hour that night. XD) I smell a slight time skip. Think I'll look for a golden moment, go straight to it and wait for the dive. "The rest will write itself." @Comicality said so. XD I'll try to keep it from crashing. No promises! Here I go! Weeeeeeee! (Great article Com. Hey, You have many stories that have been going on for years. Could be another article on how you deal with THAT. XD) Edit: missing words, the wrong vowel that completely changed the change a verb. And I think Com already said something about that somewhere after all. * Shrug *
  7. ( I was going to say almost exactly that, except I was going to have it be empty because it was stolen while it was waiting outside I just didn't have a wish wish)
  8. I wish that I had made a wish when I was supposed to make a wish. That sort of thing has been done already. I've been awake since yesterday, I'm doing fabulous All Things Considered. Wish for sleep? No, too easy. You'll Rip Van Winkle me into the next century. wish for my broken washing machine to work? Too easy, you'll break the dryer. All my dirty laundry clean? Something about a red sock. I wish to be surprised by what is posted next
  9. (I may have been excessive. That is why I chose a wish that would allow you to avenge your pizza. I thought about toning down the post, but had so much fun. and then I gave it life, and it was beautiful and I couldn't kill it. now it go read your reply.) Granted: your house and everything in it has been rendered in better than new condition. an hour later, there is an electrical fire and your house burns down
  10. Granted: The exactly as ordered pizza, perfectly cooked pizza is delivered ahead of schedule. Only to be dropped from your own hand 6 inches from your table. It is the last of that crust that they had. So they cannot replace it. They, the only one of that chain that will deliver to your residence, are going out if business tomorrow so they won't give you a gift card until 3 weeks later. Which you must drive 2 hours to redeem, so the pizza is cold by the time you get it home. I wish that I had a double batch of french toast hot and ready to eat
  11. Yay *giggles* but I can see one in the ceiling ;P Cool. some of these other religions seem to think I don't have one and this is different from the last 20 years because..? XD *snicker* (Comsie bullshit, best bullshit) #Here's to another 20 years
  12. This topic needs to be here. This topic makes me uncomfortable. this topic needs to be here because it makes me uncomfortable I said this once: I still agree with that statement. The discord between how I react to the idea as a reader and how it makes me feel as a writer... interesting. I would say that I've never killed a character, but upon reflection I kill them all the time. I write about vampires, heroes that slay monsters and fight bandits. My protagonists are often people who have killed. I have never killed a leading character. Sometimes, someone goes to the future or something is set in the future and therefore some characters are "dead" but that's manifestly different than actually writing the the death of the character the way I would any other scene. I also recently realized almost all of my characters are, for different reasons, either Immortal or so extremely long-lived they are effectively immortal. or they live in a world where they could become such. (Human to vampire, werewolf, whatever) I kill strangers, or characters I've created with a backstory in order to make it morally appealing that they're killed, but I go out of my way to make sure people important to me live forever. all the above is true. But there is a very old story I'm continuing that if something doesn't change, I'll have to face what we're discussing. I read somewhere once that JK Rowling said, in regards to Cedric Diggory, that she didn't kill him, she found him dead. now that I've thought this far into it, I have to wonder , which it will be for me? Yep. Fascinating. # proofreading is for people that aren't this tired
  13. as of this post you had 25001 reputation points I'm about to ruin it but it's really cool number. There's A Space Odyssey or a Jules Verne joke somewhere
  14. I was alset to go all Alabama and "climb that mountain," then I got to the part where Comsie wasn't in charge. And I thought about it... and i thoughtit was suddenly less cool. And then I thought again... Prophet and Pope would be two really big jobs. Comsie already has a lot of jobs. And then I thought about it some more... Hope they find that missing kid. Who is Levi whatever, and why's he even in the art- Ohh. Wait... that means... And it's a religious compound in America... I better start planning how I'm going to smuggle Comsie and the Pope to safety before the raid. And then, inappropriately I bet the Kool-Aid is awesome And further... I bet they do something sexy for communion... Wait, what if they... and he... and then... No, no. Pope Boy would never have enough for everyone. Maybe three or four a day. maybe every few days... And lastly I thought... This post has gotten long, and weird. And yet... How do you dig an Escape tunnel? those darn squirrels are at it again
  15. It's working for me. Maybe you've chafed your YouTube from too much watching
  16. Facebook, Tumblr, etc and so forth. Sometimes I'll go looking for a certain kind of image. I don't remember what I typed in but it was how I found the profile picture of used all these years. And internet find but it actually resembles one of my characters even if I'm the only one that has ever read what he's in. I'm terrible at describing faces, so I've started playing with the idea of finding pictures that fit my idea of a character or building characters that fit my in my Impressions off of a picture. I'm still waiting to use the test cases in their particular chapters.
  17. He's just bullseyed all the moving targets I've been trying to hit to reply here. For myself, I have to add something that may seem strange. The real world. I don't mean the old show on MTV. This, right here. Our world. If I had a nightmare where I was being chased by a genre, it would be a high school. Or maybe the zombies of fanfiction ideas I've had. I recognize when it's done well. That feeling of rightness, that even though what they're doing is outside of the original material it's still within the nature of the characters as I perceive them. But I can't do it. I cannot climb inside another person's characters and drive them around. At least not without it ending in fireballs and insurance claims. Yes, I noticed I didn't elaborate on that high school thing, too XD
  18. Can you really say you have arrived, if the ride isn't over? Don't get off now, it'll get better if you wait a little longer. Oh I will, but without breaks it gets a little sore That assumes you were sane when you got on. I'd say those odds aren't good or bad, pretty even actually. This is so nice, I quoted it twice. Thank you
  19. Good... Afternoon XD For my third entry into my blog, I'm sending you back to the first. My own version of throwback Thursday. It's March 1st, 2018. It's a day that will live... well, I'm not really sure. 20 years from now this may be a momentous day in the history of that famous internet author... ... ... ... ...VampireMystic. XD (You were expecting @Comicality maybe? Admit it, it's fine. Hehehe. I'm (one of) the speck(s) of slightly deeper darkness in his shadow) Why, you ask? Why, you wonder, will this day be worthy of note? Turn up the volume to 38, because Imagine Magazine's March issue is out now. Some might be thinking, "So what? I read your story in the preview." To them I say: *cough* Plot twist *cough* When he heard that I was sitting on 26,863 words (and counting) of story for his magazine, he (naturally) had some questions. And we've decided you get to read the answers! Head on over, pickup a copy, and you'll see Comicality shine a spotlight on me. Specifically, on the writing process for my story, 2-14-9X, from the world of Predators. Want more to sink your teeth into? Give me a follow, I have a lot in store this year. (Feeling a little confused? Check out my first blog entry)

    Beautiful Thing

This is probably one of the first gay movies I'd ever seen. I don't know where or when or how. Liked it. Especially the part where they weren't instantly sex experts just because they found themselves to be a couple. Which can be a cliche. Which reminds me I should make sure I avoid it. Now, before Valkyrie steals what I haven't eaten of my pizza like the soul of a fallen Viking destined for the beer hall of the Gods. *runs* Edit: steals was a strong word, but I have to let it stand for the joke
  21. Preach, amen, hallelujah, my brothers
  22. To those who understand, no explanation is necessary, to those who do not understand no explanation will be enough.
  23. I see what they did there. Oh the hue manatee! *Snickers*
  24. Decided to try it. They made it a little too easy to sync OneDrive. To add a second you have to go over to onedrive and sign out of one and into the other, first. (Uses the session to go straight to "This app would like access to..." By the time my daisy chain of backups is finished, I'll have five copies of my writing folder. Only once you have started do they say "You are using the free plan, you will be throttled. Unless you give us money." Is this a protection racket? (Get it? IXD)
  25. Naw, the Tomb Raider/Indiana Jones types always SURVIVE those... see what I'm saying? EDIT: Why is my reason for edit not displaying I wonder?
