Yikes, Westie, that's the stuff of nightmares. How am I gonna sleep tonight ...
Good point Can you believe even Sydney Opera House was apparently described by some Australians as "horrendous" - one of the most iconic buildings on the planet! Maybe time is needed to appreciate some buildings but I bet we can all think of carbuncles we'd like to push the button to get rid of ...
I sent Y_B several alternative Tom pics to peruse (perve over) and although his specs got a bit steamed up he was able to choose this one of a smirkless Tom:
.
Oh and I found this YouTube vid when browsing for nothing in particular. I'm not quite sure what it's all about because the title isn't very clear, so you probably won't want to watch it ...

So Gibby's a "crispy critter"
And Tanner had no "toy box" to get rid of ...
And the net's closing on the evil hag bag ...
And such a sad sad end
*watches the clock move slooooowly towards next Monday ...*
James I King of England (also the VI of Scotland) was gay or bisexual. He had at least one gay lover, Robert Carr, a 17 year year old reputedly of great beauty with whom he fell in love. James I showered gifts and titles on Carr - he ended up an Earl - but following a lover's tiff King James wrote that Carr had been "creeping back and withdrawing yourself from lying in my chamber, notwithstanding my many hundred times earnest soliciting you to the contrary". So it wasn't a match made in heaven but at least Carr kept his head and ended up in comfortable retirement
Yeah, he may have lost a blingy trophy but he won the nation's heart with his emotional speech. And the guy smiled! True, if you blinked, you'd have missed it but it was definitely there with the tears. The guy's had a lot of negative coverage for his dour image but he is seriously focused. He was simply beaten by the better guy - a tennis Goliath. No shame in that. He gave his all. And the Brits love someone who gives his all and loses. Seriously, we really do
He agreed to take part in scientific assessments at Cologne University which concluded he had a "mechanical advantage" from the springiness of the blades - they enabled him to run with less effort than a runner with ordinary legs. Similar, I suppose, to divers wearing flippers who can swim more efficiently than barefoot. The other issue is the risk of serious injury to other runners when they are bunched up. It could go horribly wrong and, personally, I think it's a bad decision
In fact the OPERA neutrino project was a joint experiment between CERN and LNGS in Italy. The September 2011 announcement was by Antonio Ereditato for LNGS and James Gillies, a spokesperson for CERN - so not fair to blame it on the Italians
But I agree with you about the DeLorean and the flux capacitor
Yeah, but before y'all get too excited and take out a payment plan for that "anti-gravity" car you saw advertised in Craigslist, remember the generous sprinkling of "mights" and "probablys" - which I'm sure has nothing at all to do with the red faces after it was reported that CERN's neutrino experiment showed Einstein was wrong ....
Hey no sweat. Not as if I'll be buying an apartment there anytime soon
This vid is funny of the architect giving a press conference today when the window cleaners swing by (yikes I couldn't do that job!) and no-one's interested in the architect anymore as they all swivel around to watch the hunky window cleaners
London's newest building opened today. Some say it's a "new London icon", others it's a "blot on the landscape, an outrage".
I like it. I don't want London to become a skyscraper city but it's not as if it's in a specially historic bit of London (the nearby buildings are dismal).
What do you think? Do you like tall buildings?

Realistically I think this is Andy Murray's last chance to win Wimbledon.
In fact, his last chance to win a Grand Slam.
His age will start to count against him now and younger players will be coming through.
Ha! Britain doesn't have a climate, just weather!
And apparently Britain has the second highest number of tornadoes by area. Most are weak - but not the one that hit Birmingham in 2005! Did about 40m quid's worth of damage
