Vampires. Since they started to glitter you think you read it all. I loved/feared vampires since I secretly watched Christopher Lee with my best friend Natasha and hid under the comforter when it became too much. I think I was eight. Count von Count was one of my favorite Muppets. Later I got the shivers watching Count Orlok, tried to imitate Bela Lugosi's accent and wow how I loved 'Lost Boys'. I could go on and on, telling you about 'Blade', Vlad the Impaler, Irish myths or even admit I read and watched 'Interview with the Vampire', ditto Twilight and vampire documentations. Bite me. When I saw W_L's thread I had to choose the vampire. After a few days I had a vague story idea and did my usual thing: Started to write, wrote myself into a corner, wrote myself out of said corner, deleted half of the story aka edited it, sent everything to Lisa, did the suggested changes, re-wrote some passages without telling her, decided it was utter crap. Thankfully Jo Ann remedied that. If you want to learn more about Dermot Radu Serban and Skylar Landen Porter read my story 'From the Ashes Springs New Life'. Make sure to read and review the other stories as well. I personally am looking forward to read rustle's debut story.

Or you could open a new thread; just to disentangle things...something like 'Are female writers a suppressed/oppressed/repressed (or whatever) majority? and see what happens just like Ron did with this thread, which if I remember this correctly, originated from the 'taboo thread'.. I'm just saying...

Good for him. I didn't read it. I heard the grammar is poor and as I am still a learner I don't want to be influenced badly. JK. I thought about it a few times, I wanted to know what all the fuss is about, but my reading list is long enough as it is, containing books/stories I am actually eager to read, so no, not a chance in the near future.

Let's see, about three years ago I said at the end of the fourth chapter of my first story I didn't know if I would continue, I was afraid my English was so bad I'd annoy the readers and they were just being polite not to tell me. Ah, that didn't sit well with Lisa. Since then she edits all my stories, became a great friend, knows all my sh** and I can't wait to read her little comments/reactions when she edits a new chapter. She always is my first reviewer. She even agreed to do the re-write with me, God bless her gracious heart. LOL Good interview Percy and Lisa.

Look at literature in general; it looks like a Gaussian bell-shaped curve, most authors write 'normal' things and then there are those on the right and left side. (this is not a political statement) Over the years the whole curve moves right or left, 'normal' moves with it. Normal changes, IMO because of the authors on the right and left side of the curve.
