  2. ok... I'm going to help put that 700 thing into perspective for you: In HS many (NOT ALL) teenagers have more than one sexual encounter (meaning more than one person, not multiple encounters with the same person). Lets say that number is 4. Gay teenagers have fewer unless they are out and even then... so lets say 2. NOW... Johnney Queer goes off to college... all bets are off.. and he does not care who knows he is gay! If he looks he can find a gay club and pick up someone (or be picked up) he finds sex to be a recreational activity (not unlike his straight friends) and every weekend is out at the club. Lets say he picks up / is picked up one night out of each weekend for a semester... that is 16 encounters. Eight semesters in 4 years of college... 128 different sexual partners not counting summers!!!!!. Most young men carry on this behavior until they are ready to settle down... say 5 or more years AFTER college... say they get "lucky" every other weekend that is 130 more partners.... Johnney Queer isn't even 30 yet!!!! at he's had 260 partners.... That's how you get to 700. As for the other stuff... (religion)... blah.
  3. Impulse.. most definately with two hyper people (one adult, one kiddo) in the house lots of things are impulsive... HOWEVER we also have our habits, which we like... so... yeah that's it... impulsive habits!
  4. Happy Happy Happy B-DAY Diolicious!
  5. Eh... cleaning house preparing next weeks lessons grocery shopping cleaning up the yard some household repairs cleaning out the car writing meal planning getting a life...
  6. I have serious issues with the overruling of the case. He believed he was committing a crime, therefore he was. The only issue I have with these types of sting operations is this: if the adult/preditor does not instigate the redevous... then isn't that a form of entrapment? I'm not saying it shouldn't be done... just done carefully. Lugh
  7. Happy B-day, Vancipoo! Hope it's as sweet as you.

    Gas Prices

No, we tank up our delivery trucks from our pump.

    Gas Prices

He pays some taxes on the gas, I'm not sure which ones. But... eighty-five cents is like thirty percent... are taxes on gas up to thirty percent now?
  10. Lugh

    Gas Prices

Hum... take this in consideration too... my employer purchases gas by the tank load to operate the work-related machinary... on a day that gas was $2.85 at the pump he paid $2.00 a gallon from the supplier (the same ones the stations use). So what exactly is the mark up at the station?
  11. Happy B-Day baby boi!!!
  12. so... If I read this correctly the woman was working in this field THEN the employer changed the "rules" to make make-up manditory... I'm not so sure that's discrimination, but it is damn inconsiderate. What I do see as the discrimination is the undue cost aspect for several reasons.. ok each need a manicure so that cost is equal, but the woman is required to wear polish... that means she will either have to pay someone to do that (as part of her manicure) or do it herself, either way her increased cost for the manicure is say... $10 and 20 minutes. Styling takes 5-15 minutes a day with some gel/spray/mousse. Each must have their hair groomed. The male must have his cut short that runs about $20 every 3-4 weeks and time of say... half an hour (with an appointment!). The woman must have her hair down and either "teased, curled or styled" which requires a few things... first, (at least to me) down implies longer hair which restricts the option of a short (thus manly) cut. Teasing and/or curled requires half an hour DAILY minimum to style and at least one styling product. "Styled" is too subjective for me... a little gel while blow drying could be styled... or not depending on the supervisor. Needless to say the required salon vists are at least an hour once a month (about the same as the male) with a cost of $50 or more... AND a daily investment of half an hour or more to keep up. now the make-up... foundation/concealer and/or face powder runs about $10 at WALMART, blush is another $5-6, mascara another $6, and lip color $6-8. Applying all that stuff takes time... 15 -30 minutes (less as she becomes more practiced). THAT (to me) is an undue burden on the female JUST BECAUSE SHE IS FEMALE. The company required a person's "personal best"... what if their personal best was make-up free? The "personal best" portion of that regulation is too subjective. Honestly if I were setting on the jury, I would say it is discrimination for all of the above reasons.
  13. depending on what you are teaching and the length of your classes... a pop quiz would be in order. give it out at the beginning of class as they walk in, and collect it as they walk out. put a sign on your desk/podium that speakers will be failed and mark an F on the first one who asks a question.

    Charge!

yeah but I could do it and have no windows whatsoever open! snickers... the chat software hates me... or loves me... not sure which.

    Charge!

sheesh when do you guys go? I'm in there most evenings [8ish to 11ish EST] (up until about a week or so ago for other reasons) and NO ONE comes in, or if they do they pop in and pop out before the welcome tone finishes playing... kinda hard to greet someone when they don't stick around. I know this has happened to a couple of the others who hang out in chat too... it's like a revolving door in there some nights. Lugh
  16. So... the fear of queer comes from a desire deep down to hump? g-d-r Lugh P.S. Trevor, There is no excuse in today's society to fear the queer. Most people who suffer from 'homophobia' have been misdiagnosed and really suffer from 'human-hatred'. Remember... a phobia can be treated by a doctor... 'human-hatred' is often untreatable with few minor exceptions and the use of a large crowbar and grease (for prying the inflicted's head out of their asshole). The best piece of advice I can give you is this: first and foremost, love your boyfriend, secondly, pity your boyfriend's brother for he will die a bitter old man. Hugs, Lugh
  17. Happy Happy Birthday!!!! HUGS his Deme!!!!
  18. awwww Thanks Guys (and gals!) all are soooooo sweet!
  19. BAH! You should not judge a book by its cover nor by its title because (unless it's vanity publishing -- including on the net!) then the author often does not get to choose either. As for words such as "the", "an", or "a", they should be relatively invisible and good indexing software will not "see" them if they are the first word. As for my "titles", I give a story a working title, preferably something I can remember (and spell!) that links it uniquely in my mind. Most people do not 'get' my working titles because they often have nothing to do with the story itself. Titles for submissions are different and a lot of thought goes into them. However, they still may not make sense, which explains why authors need editors. Lugh

  22. ok 58 to 95 Dunn is about 4 hours. when do you want to leave?
  23. ok, first off, if you feel threatened, it's abuse. sounds to me like there are a couple different kinds of abuse going on here: 1. physical -- he pushed you... when flesh meets flesh any any other than a loving manner... it's abuse. If he touchs you, or puts hot grease "in your face" CALL THE POLICE and tell them that he is mentally unstable and threatening your life... that will get him to the hospital (and away from you) 2. emotional -- if you leave I'll suicide... he is causing an emotional response in you to make you feel responsible for his actions... you are not responsible for his actions... the next time he threatens suicide CALL THE POLICE and tell them that he is mentally unstable and is saying he will cause harm to himself... that is enough to get him to the hospital (and away from you) 3. mental -- this sorta crosses over emotional cause I really don't know where one ends and the other begins same advice. another thing to consider... go to a shelter, it's not pretty, it's not perfect, but it is AWAY FROM HIM, and that is what is important. Dude, where are you in NC? I mean seriously... there are people HERE that aren't that far from you that can help if necessary.
