  4. personally I don't think there are any references in Narnia, but I could be mistaken... however there is a lot of literature out there where the characters leave you wondering. Lugh
  5. H HA HAP HAPP HAPPY BIRTHDAY TONY!
  6. Actaully what I'm against is divorce. If two people have a religious ceremony for their marriage then they should be forced to abide by the until death do us part portion of the ceremony... however if they choose to have a civil union and work out thier own contract with the government, then that contract may be broken with certain penalties. And that goes for gay, straight, or anything in between.... Just my 2 cents.
  7. I'm helping a friend of mine put together a couple High School level Literature courses for Home Schooled kids. We are doing them secular so religious views are not a problem. Here is my challenge to you. If you had the chance to choose (a minimum of) any 30 novels in (a minimum of) four groupings (such as American Literature, World Literature, British Literature, Genre Study...) which books would you choose (and why)?

    My Poetry

Personally, I find the listing of each poem (250 words or less) as a seperate story annoying, even if it is in a series. Poems of similar style, content, or other elements can be listed together on a page and several pages together as a story... like an anthology of poetry. To do otherwise just clutters up the site, annoys other people when they update once each two-three weeks and you post a poem three minutes later, and a few other things probably best not said on these forums. Please, if you do post poetry, do it anthology style, then start a thread to discuss your poetry with others. Thank you. Lugh

And what does it mean by characters? Sighs... this is too difficult. Do you got easier directions? I need E-fiction for dummies.

    Mascot

Ok there is a new school being built in your hometown. It will be populated by all the gay little boys and girls... and they get to pick the school mascot and colors. You will be attending this school. What colors and mascot do you choose and why?
  20. I sorta have to agree... this is a very positive atmosphere to explore various topics in literature. The feedback is really nice too.... thanks to everyone who has done so -- for anyone. And KEEP READING! Lugh
  21. I'm with you on this one Loki, the fear of failure is my biggest fear. Oddly, I'm also terrified of success. If I could find a way of not failing with out the stress of success... I think I would be a much better person (and writer). Me too Shadows, but I think this goes hand in hand with some of my other fears. If I fail I will be rejected (by whom I do not know) yet if I succeed they may not like me, thus rejecting me there too. I have a mild fear of this, yet that fear can be played upon by the right person with interesting consequences.
