Thanks for reviewing Dolores. Good point on them being on the young side to make such a commitment, we'll have to wait and see how that unfolds. Glad you liked the ritual.

Do you go to the barber shop or to a salon for a haircut?
Andy78 replied to Toast's topic in The Lounge
Well, you need to cut off approximately 14 inches of human hair to cut off one pound. The average length of my hair that gets cut off is around an inch. So it will take me 14 haircuts, or £112 to have one pound of hair cut off. Or you could just grow your hair to 14 inches long, and it would only cost one £8 hair cut. -

Andy78 replied to Toast's topic in The Lounge
I go to a barber. Number 2 all over, nice and simple. There are a few salons near me but they charge £30 just for a guy's haircut. You factor in wash, dry, style etc you can end up paying £60 or more. My barber charges £8. -
Happy birthday W_L Hope it's a great one

We heard the bathroom door open, and there in the doorway was my dad along with one of the hotel security staff. Kodi and I both screamed in shock and hurriedly wrapped a towel around ourselves. My dad closed the bathroom door, and I heard him saying something to the member of staff who had opened the door for him. Once we had dried ourselves, we went into our room and found my dad waiting for us. “I’m sorry I did that boys; we were just very worried. We tried telephoning you, I spent five

I was woken up by my mobile phone’s alarm playing at full volume. Ooh my little pretty one, pretty one When you gonna give me some time, Sharona? Ooh you make my motor run, my motor run I slowly opened my eyes to find that Kodi was already was up and he was singing along even after I’d switched my alarm ringtone off, and he was prancing around the room like a ballerina on speed and wiggling his butt; damn, he is so cute. Then he dragged me up from the bed to join him. If one of our p

Thanks for reading Remijay. I plan to have the next chapter posted by Monday.

I've had a busy week or so, but it's been great. First (and most important): As some of you know, though I rarely talk about it, my mum has suffered from depression over the past ten years or so. On Wednesday, she had made it one whole year without a single hospitalisation, for the first time ever since her diagnosis. She is doing really well, and is even planning on joining one of the support groups on a weekend getaway to Bruges next month. So we had a big party, that went on into the wee hours. Second: My better half and I celebrated our fourteenth anniversary on Monday. We have now been together longer than any couple in my family, and take every chance to remind them all of it . My nan said that kids who get together in university don't have lasting relationships; well, guess she was wrong. Of course, we had another party that went on into the wee hours. Third: Spent a few days reading the anthology stories - congrats to everyone on the great entries. My first anthology story was really well received, and I'd like to thank everyone who read and reviewed. Fourth: Baked a couple of cakes for our annual Cancer Research UK fundraiser yesterday. I'm now looking forward to putting my feet up over the weekend and just crashing in front of the TV.

Writing Tip Writing Tip: Getting In The Mood - Part 1
Andy78 commented on Trebs's blog entry in Writing World
I love reading about what goes through other authors minds. This a great opportunity to get to know some of the inner workings of a few of my favourite authors. -
This is absolutely sickening. In my opinion, this is just another problem caused by the erosion of discipline in schools. If this had happened when my parents were in school, there would have been a very long line outside the headmaster's office for him to get some exercise with his caning hand. I used to think the kids were awful when I was in school. While many were unruly, there were very few who were disrespectful to this extent. About the worst that ever happened to a teacher when I was in school was the occasional liberty being taken with the supply teacher. Even those few kids who were disrespectful to the teachers and other adults suffered for it when they got home.

Well I remember playing red light-green light, and a variation of duck, duck, goose as a child, and I'm certainly not that old A great reintroduction to the family so far.

There are a few in the more rural CADW monuments in Wales. I've seen them at Woebley Castle on the Gower Peninsula (the honesty box is actually in somebody's garden ), there is one at the Bishop's Palace in Lamphey (as the visitor centre is only open during the summer months), and I'm sure I've seen one at Tintern Abbey near Chepstow (though I might be wrong on that one). We also have honesty boxes in most of our WHSmith newsagent stores where people can pay for newspapers to save queuing up at the tills (cash register) to pay.

“First Servant, I have read your petition, and I must say that the Council has reservations. As you are aware there has not been a Bonding Ritual in nearly a hundred years, but of course that is not a particular concern to us. What is a concern to us is that you have requested to perform the Bonding Ritual not only on a gay couple, but on a gay couple who have not even reached the age of consent. The Council finds this troubling, and shows a serious lack of judgement on your part.” “Members

Top versus Bottom
Andy78 commented on Jason Rimbaud's blog entry in Wry Wrambling of a Rebellious Rimbaud
I was very submissive when I was younger, and am generally (like 99.4% of the time) the bottom in my current relationship. Though since we've just celebrated our 14th anniversary, we really know how to ring each other's bell. I have topped him a few times (and don't get me wrong, it is amazing), but he is 3 inches bigger than me, and as MJ says, it does feel odd. Though with us, the whole top/bottom thing is not something we think about. I'm not saying that the bigger guy has to be the top, and some of the biggest guys I've had fun with over the years were total bottoms. But it does feel really weird topping a guy who is better endowed than you are. -
Thanks for reading Joann, and thanks for trying a new genre. I've branched off into reading other genres since coming here, and there are some great authors on site. I'm glad you liked the story.

They are all growing up, I can't believe Ricky will be twenty five. Though Josh has clearly done a great job with all of them.

I like it when I can surprise readers every now and again, means I'm doing my job right The next chapter will be up soon so you won't have long to wait to find out.

Thanks for reading Sam. Glad you liked it.

I don't normally comment on the weekly wrap up, but it's been a busy week and I was away for part of it. Great review by Andrew at the start of the week - Almost Home is on my next to read list, once I've read the rest of the anthology stories Thanks to Cia for the posting guide - a great piece for both new authors and those of us who have been around a while **does not like getting PM'ed by narked Cia** And finally the anthologies - well done to all. I've really enjoyed the stories I've read, and thanks to everyone who has read my entry

Alex, still crying, got up off the bed and went to leave; he needed to escape from the embarrassment. “Alex, wait.” Alex ignored Thomas and made a grab for the handle to his bedroom door. “Alex, please.” Alex felt a hand on his arm, trying to turn him around, but he shrugged it off. “Alexander, look at me.” Alex turned around at hearing Thomas use his full name; he had always been Alex to Thomas, he had never once been called Alexander; until now. Alex refused to look Thomas in the face;
