  1. It seems like it.
  2. Thanks @croyde You can expect the fur to fly at the end, no matter what happens.
  3. It was unfair to deny Daniel an opportunity for some adult fun, even though he's technically not quite an adult yet. That won't concern Don though.
  4. Thanks @Gary L sorry about the cliffhanger. I wish I was able to fit each chapter into a day's work, more like a two or three, but we're nearly there now.
  5. Robbie needs to get his head out the sand and make a decision. The only reason he is still with Conner is because he doesn't want to leave him when he's going through such a difficult time with the farm. He may need to be firm, it's not like they've been dating for a long time. I'm sure Conner will get over it.
  6. Conner was definitely a bad choice for Robbie. If Don likes him, he can't be good.
  7. I wondered if anyone would pick up on Conner's ridiculous statement. Nathan can do nothing wrong according to Robbie. He has been consistently providing excuses for him even though Nathan wasn't looking for any. We always knew that Ginny had a difficult past although Nathan would never reveal the exact details. She's one of Jo's regulars, so she's receiving help but will likely never be able to lead a normal life. There does seem to be a lot of messed up people in that town but probably no more than anywhere else, it's just they all seem to know Robbie. He's like a magnet for messed up people but his personality does little to discourage them.
  8. Daniel was already showered and dressed for school when I stumbled out of bed on Monday morning, twenty minutes before the bus was due. “You should have woken me earlier.” “I shouldn’t have to wake you up at all. You have your own alarm.” He had a point, but I wouldn’t admit it. I never bothered to use my alarm because my brother was usually so reliable. Now I was a mess, fighting with my clothes while he watched and laughed. It was payback for his black eye, which looked much worse
  9. I will never be able to understand why Americans don't demand a health service like everyone else. In my opinion the NHS is fantastic and Canada isn't far behind, but the U.S.A with all their facilities and expertise could have the best in the world. I've had an operation in the UK and a health emergency in Canada and neither one cost me a penny. Admittedly, I was working and paying taxes in both countries, so you could argue it wasn't free, but it certainly felt like it. No one should have to compromise their health, or the health of those around them because they're worried about the cost. Worrying over an illness will only make it worse, and putting off treatment can in some cases have fatal consequences. Americans deserve better than this.
  10. Lovell, Swigert, and Haise, obviously didn't have triskaidekaphobia, although they may have suffered from it after their return.
  11. This is a great blog with some useful and important information. I'm too trusting for sure, and I've probably made it very easy for someone to find me if they wanted. I've been lucky, but I guess you never think it's going to happen to you until it's too late. I'm naive because I respect peoples privacy and trust them to do the same with me, but I guess it doesn't always work that way. I'll be more careful in future.

Hayden isn't fooling me. I doubt if there's a straight bone in his body.

    Chapter 139 Bonding

Thanks @Gary L I was desperately trying to limit the word count on this one. I often worry about the length of the chapters and sometimes I manage to cut them down a bit, but in this case I was forced to leave it pretty much as it was.

    Chapter 139 Bonding

I agree, Nathan is a pawn, although he kind of played into their hands. Don may or may not be involved but he's rubbing his hands together at Nathan's downfall. It was a real gift for him.

    Chapter 139 Bonding

I think you sum up Daniel quite well and in many ways he's the complete opposite to Robbie, who often seems to thrive on confrontation. Nicola looks as if she's giving up on trying to save her parent's marriage and maybe Sue has too. Don hasn't changed like he promised he would.

    Chapter 139 Bonding

Thanks @Shaggy_93 Don't write off Daniel just yet.

    Chapter 139 Bonding

I agree about Daniel. I think it's too soon to write him off as a mini Don. It's worth remembering the times in the past when he has defended Nathan and even Robbie. He may be impressionable and feel some loyalty towards his dad, but he certainly doesn't share his homophobia. It's difficult to see how Don will be able to turn Daniel against his lifelong friend. I suppose a lot will depend on the drugs and whether Nathan is lying or telling the truth.

    Chapter 139 Bonding

There's no doubting the mutual attraction between Robbie and Nathan, but it's a volatile mix that seems likely to end once again in acrimony. It's whether the boys can resist the initial temptation. At their age, it's probably unlikely, but it will put them on a collision course with Don and Robbie may not have the fight left in him to take that chance. Your second point would be the best and safest option.

    Chapter 139 Bonding

To avoid getting grounded he will need to try to curb his temper, which seems to be getting worse.

    Chapter 139 Bonding

Robbie seems to be more in-tune with his sexuality now and he may need to be with the sudden attention of the pastor. It would be a huge shock for Don if Robbie manages to re-ignite his relationship with Nathan. I doubt if Don even considers that a possibility after showing Robbie that he's prepared to look the other way as far as Conner is concerned.

    Chapter 139 Bonding

Wankers indeed. Let's hope Robbie isn't fooled by the pastors attempts to be friendly.
  22. It was the first weekend in February, and according to the weatherman, Southern Ontario was as cold as the artic. Heavy snow, high winds, and low temperatures made driving difficult and put an end to my planned visit to Conner’s farm. His mom didn’t fancy the journey, and I didn’t want to spend the night in that cold farmhouse, so my boyfriend had to endure another weekend without physical contact. I wasn’t grounded anymore, but the freezing temperatures kept me indoors, so I spent most
  23. Well-done, Wayne. You don't have to tout yourself today, everyone else is doing it for you. Congratulations.
  24. I think your sentiments will be shared by many of the readers baying for Don's blood. He has consistently refused to accept that he may be wrong, and in doing so risks losing the family he claims to be protecting. It could have been so different had he not allowed himself to be poisoned by bigotry and scared by something he didn't understand.
  25. "I decided to put her mind at rest that evening, but she didn’t show up, so maybe it wasn’t such a big deal after all." Admittedly it's an easy one to miss tucked away at the end of the last paragraph. I think a few people were confused by this.
