It does happen everyday, unfortunately. But not to me anymore. But for all those powerless souls, I wish I reach out, grab them all, hug them and tell them it get's better. Bring them to safety, bring them hope. This is how I cope.

I'm glad I could give you a touch of poetry.. I personally consider myself a slam poet. Not one that has to rhyme every second word. I'm a huge fan of Shane Koyczan. I think you'd be touched by this... http://www.shanekoyczan.com/2013/03/08/my-ted-talk-is-live-watch-it-here/

Once upon time I called him Daddy He was supposed to take care of me. May it be, I’d be happy and fulfilling so. It all started with a game. I was five, more than merely alive. I was the spunk in the funk that made every heartbeat. Cute, handsome, and proudly strong and mighty. ‘Run around naked if you want son.’ It all had started. It was a farce and a cause for such serious alarms. How was I to know that someone that was to love me so, would take it further, I was too young to k

Wacky Wednesday: Ask An Author #2
podiumdavis commented on Renee Stevens's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Joann, the 2nd love of my life.... So dear, insightful and a joy all around.. -
I’m sure many of you read that this past week my cousin decided to end his own life. As I’ve been struggling with this, crying constantly, and the likes. I’ve found strength that I never knew I had. Over these past twelve months that I’ve been a part of gayauthors, I’m sure you’ve gotten to know me (to some extent) and where I stand on the topic of suicide. On September 27th one of the questions that I posed to our fellow authors/admins/editors, etc, was simple and direct to this fact. “Given the modern climate in our society, constantly hearing of another gay teen committing suicide across our television screens, how would you, given the chance, save someone's life? Yes, the Trevor Project is amazing, as is the It Gets Better movement. So, in as few words as possible, how does it get better and why does it get better?” Here’s the link if you’re interested. Despite the attitude of this being directly correlated as teens committing suicide because of their sexual orientation, is moot at best. Regardless of orientation, anyone doing such an act is tragic and not only hurting the person, but also their entire family. Including me in this instance. Some of you may know my own past and possibly not. But I was suicidal for two years about eleven years ago. That time in my life was hell on earth, but unlike some; I actually had a support system and a logical mind that told me that if I went through with such an act, not only would I no longer be here, but I would crush my family. This was something I didn’t want to do. So in that respect, I know how it feels; I’ve been there. I just wish he knew how much he was loved. During the viewing and funeral, people like myself, couldn’t understand why he’d done such a thing. Everyone was crushed, torn, and left feeling empty. About 300 people showed up to pay their final respects, while many others couldn’t even enter the room. They wanted to remember him like he was; a joyful young man who always had a smile on his face. To say it was a difficult day would be an understatement. But my resolve is the same, I want to help people, and unfortunately I couldn’t be that rock for my own cousin. I know I can’t dwell on the what ifs, and the whys. But I still know that tomorrow will be a better day. Maybe one day, given the chance, I’ll once again try my best to save that one life. That’s always been my goal.

The Journey of Jacob and Kyle
podiumdavis replied to podiumdavis's topic in Stories Discussion Forum
Thank you Shane. I'm glad you've enjoyed it. I've been on a much needed hihatus, since like the 20th of December. But I'm back and ready to hit pen and paper.. Hopefully it doesn't take me ages (like it normally does to write a chapter).. I'm horribly slow due to my OCD, perfectionism.... Cheers..- 47 replies

There's something you missed "William loves Jacob 1981!" the year is important here... Thomas' offer was to keep them silent, and was his only knowledgable thing that he could offer, knowing that they'd probably accept. But when they refused..... He didn't know what to do. You'll find out more about Thomas, just not right now. It's going to take quiet a few chapters to get to that point.. And when I say a few; I mean a lot.... If I get your point here, dealing with youth. I too have done this, but not to the extent that you're speaking of. I know it happens, and typically is kept hush hush. :*(

Chapter #11 - This Cold heart (Cont.)
podiumdavis commented on podiumdavis's story chapter in Chapter #11 - This Cold heart (Cont.)
Movies, movies, movies? What movies? NO comment...... Jacob's reaction, imho, was that it was a product of his environment, not so much in the past, but currently. It became too much for him to hold in, until he burst. -
Chapter #8 - The Mistakes we make (Cont)
podiumdavis commented on podiumdavis's story chapter in Chapter #8 - The Mistakes we make (Cont)
I personally belive that Jacob was looking out for the best interest for all those involved within his troupe, including Nicolas and Kyle. It was Kinshi, ala Japanese. I have a very sarcastic humor so I can see where's lies as well.. The theme park isn't supposed to happen until Wednesday, currently the chapters are Monday (as of current). So we'll see if they decide to go or not.. Personally I can't discuss this aspect. The serious talk DID happen, but since you've reviewed chapter #11 by now I'm sure you've read it. What's a big stretch about? Sarah will not get tar'd or feathered. But I'm sure many would love the Eye for an Eye. Which I don't believe in personally. ~CHEERS~ -
Chapter #7 - The Mistakes we make (Cont)
podiumdavis commented on podiumdavis's story chapter in Chapter #7 - The Mistakes we make (Cont)
The boy's make anyone's skin crawl I think.... LOL. But I'll leave it for you to discover. It would be wicked.. But... Secrets are secrets for a reason *Until they're released that is* ~Cheers~ I'm loving your comments.. Keep em coming (if you don't mind doing that :]) -
Chapter #6 - The Mistakes we make
podiumdavis commented on podiumdavis's story chapter in Chapter #6 - The Mistakes we make
Man you're reading fast... I'm glad I've still got you intrigued. Sarah's motive of leaving is one that leaves many punches, and you'll see the emotional reprecussions of that too. As to Kyle's mother (Michelle) talking to Sarah (Jacob's mom), that won't happen. Continue reading to find more answers. The nudist camp is an interesting one. I won't spoil it for you -
Writing Tip: The Infinitive - To Split Or Not To Split

Very nice indeed. You rock my world Andy.. -
I see I got the desired react to her outburst. Very good. I can also understand ones frustration in that regard also. She's a monster inside, but who's to say a monster can't be fixed? (May too much wishful thinking on my part?) Maybe I should have said Parking break? I have only driven stick once or twice, and now that you mention it, I believe you're right.. But I do recall a parking break

Life can and will always keep us busy. Kind of sucks at times; but what can you do. Mr. Matthews & Mr. Morris are cool cats in my book. But there could be more than meets the eye. As to which, you'll find out As to Bill, MOM'S the word (No pun intended, and, or, applying to Sarah.)

Chapter #2 - The Best Day Ever (Cont)
podiumdavis commented on podiumdavis's story chapter in Chapter #2 - The Best Day Ever (Cont)
When you get time to read on, you'll find who ends up with whom, though it should at least be somewhat obvious who will go with whom. Kyle is a bit of a mystery in the begining. You'll learn more about him as time goes on, and what has held him back. Though I would say that Kyle is so easily swayed to go with the flow. Michelle is very babyish with Kyle, no doubt, but that will also be answered soon enough Glad to see a new reader. Keep the feedback coming -
About time right? . It's funny huh.. Well I don't know if that's good or bad . Mysteries, mysteries, oh, it's not really a mystery I think. Just they're being oblivious to obvious signs LOL. Faith plays a large role, as the tag says for the story. But it's only come around now. It's now just a matter of Jacob either listening or ignoring these things.

The boy's are doing excellent for the time being; I do agree there. They do seem stronger don't they? I wonder if it'll last. Thanks for reading. I put a lot of effort into this one, one-handed style.

The Journey of Jacob and Kyle Chapter #14: This Cold heart (Cont.) Time line: Monday Jacob gave one final look of reassurance to Kyle and began opening the classroom door. As it were, they were already fifteen minutes late and the expectation was high that they were about to get some flak for their tardiness. After entering and closing the door, Mrs. McDonald looked up from her desk and gave them a look of her deep disapproval. “And where have the two of you been hiding?” Mrs. McDonald reque
