    and while not a product of nature, let's not forget situations like the blackout in 2004 that left the northeast quadrant of the U.S. without power. That meant a lack of running water, refrigeration and access to any money that wasn't hard cash in the middle of the summer. It may have been short lived, but the reality of an extended situation gives you a touch of "What would we do?"

    Never running against the wind or not fast enough kind of thing. It's always just a narrow escape and then the scenario repeats until caught and I wake up. Take that, Freud!!

    I don't usually remember the exact dreams when they go off the deep end, but when the get really intense they come complete with dramatic camera angles and scene changes and transitions. When they get into a scenario where I'm being chased by someone dangerous, (which happens from time to time, go figure.) the scene repeats itself each time I narrowly escape until just before he(?) gets me and I startle awake. I'm usually far too disturbed at that point to write anything down. Ugh.

    Oh my. This was a lovely chapter and was so nice to see Alex and Kei have some tender moments. The ending with Alex's rant was equally powerful and struck a chord leaving me a little misty after. Wonderful chapter.

    Hmm... the Prom's need to step it up a bit. We can do better than that! Otherwise a good week of content. And everyone should consider PM'ing Renee about the stories she needs reviewed. It's a different take of just reading/reviewing something you had a previous interest in and can be worth the experience. Give it a shot!

    Meh... it's still WAY beyond my viewing range. Looks the people of Canada are getting a good show. Someone should take a good video of it and share for those of us underprivileged children.

    I think the idea has merit, depending on the location of the home. There are a lot of scary areas in low cost areas of Detroit. The images of multiple burned out houses in a row are not just media hype. However that doesn't mean that I think the city is lost. There's a lot of work to do but anything that could revitalize the city would be a good thing. There's too much history involved to let it go.

    I'd like to believe it's all about balance. Two many flowery words and you come off as trying to be too intellectual and turn off your readers. Some here and there and they can add unique character to your style while still conveying your story. But clean and simple can be just as effective. While its true that in the electronic age, touching a word for its definition is easy, I would prefer not to disrupt the flow of the story more often than necessary. I like to keep everyone in their headspace and hopefully immersed in the tale.
