When you look back on this (if you're not already) You're going to laugh so hard over all of this craziness. Reading about how both of you needled each other over everything was fantastic. Thankfully, in the end you both let it go and moved on to something better.

The problem is that this video isn't over the top enough to be called satire. This kind of hiding from your peers is an all too real occurrence that many of us can identify with.
I would hope this is an attempt at some kind of public service announcement, but I don't think it's successful if that's the intent.

Good questions! I especially enjoyed the inclusion of Methodwriter. It just shows the community of GA is bigger than just those of us that contribute stories. Well done.
The prompts can be as long as you want them to be. It can be as small as a limerick or as long as a new start to a novel. They're a writing exercise for us all to knock something out and share with. Have at it!!!
