    Chapter 16

    Wha?
  2. Geemeedee

    Chapter 16

I don’t get why this is happening to Desmond. These are dreams that can’t change the past. So what’s the purpose? I find it amusing and strange that Desmond takes the snarking of a dream teenager seriously enough to cut his hair off. Teenagers are hormone monsters! Rayhe loves his hair! He’ll be bummed when Desmond cuts it. I bet that’s why Des exhibited dismay about his hair earlier ...

    Chapter 15

Hmmmm. We know from Raven and from what Gabriel said — “Would you like me to visit some of your dreams...? The ones you still won’t talk to me about?” — that Desmond (so far) only visits negative incidents in peoples’ pasts. So I wonder what happened when young Gabriel went downstairs. Did someone die in a car accident?

    Chapter 14

I wonder what Julian was muttering under his breath. “I love you”? “Please wake up”? “Ima kill that ghost bitch, I swear I will”?

    Chapter 90

I think (hope?) this may be a humanoid baby for Kohen and Captain to raise. One that can fly or control fire, perhaps? Ooh, fingers crossed it’s a girl!

    Chapter 22.2

She wouldn’t. But she might want the most powerful mage the family has seen in generations.

    Chapter 13

Blair was really pissed and set his hair on fire! 😃

    Chapter 13

So the hellhound isn’t corporeal, either? Where’s its sleeping body? If it kills them here = brain dead in real life? Or only the portion of them in the labyrinth dies? If that portion is their soul, does that mean they spend the rest of their lives unable to feel? ... um. I have questions. LOL

    Chapter 13

So who (or what) is responsible for the hellhound? And do trapped people (not ghosts like Magda) get hungry, get sleepy or have to pee in the labyrinth? Most importantly, why did Desmond cut his hair?

    Chapter 12

The images coming at them — that’s Magda’s doing, correct? She said she wanted to play with Raven for a week. Is it possible to die in there? I guess the equivalent would be to never wake up.

    Chapter 11

RED EYES in the mirror? WTF is that?! And “I also will have to get that frame out of...” Wha??
  12. Geemeedee

    Chapter 10

Kkh was right! It’s Magda. Although I’m partially right as well — her body IS dead. 😀 I guess soon we’ll find out what Raven and Desmond have been up to. Nifty coincidence that Desmond was given the specialized power to fight Magda right as she was banished to mirrorland. Everything happens for a reason in this world.

    Chapter 9

Magda is definitely dead. The ghost has no face or body ... I wonder if she EVER did? I don’t understand how the painting isn’t magic. The image changes (for Raven), it calls to Raven ... What the eff did he do to her? And what did *she* do to Raven in the dreamscape for a (human) week?
  14. Geemeedee

    Chapter 7

Hmmm. I think they’ve been holding that room open waiting for the painting’s owner to arrive. Didn’t Raven buy it three days ago? What IS IT with this dude?! He draws trouble like months to a flame. Speaking of the painting: did it somehow deflect attention from itself while Julian was handling it? I don’t think we’ve seen him talk to himself like that before.

    Chapter 6

The chapter told us something, and no one has mentioned it: time passes MUCH slower in the dream world. What seems like 1 day in the dreamworld may actually be 10 days in the real world.
  16. Geemeedee

    Chapter 5

Curious about how that painting passed Julian’s scans. It also makes Raven forget to mention it. Frankly, as soon as that exit disappeared in the painting I would’ve gotten rid of the damn thing. Interesting that hasn’t occurred to Raven.

    Chapter 5

If I used sleeping pills this would certainly make me reconsider.

    Chapter 2

Of course it is. Yet again, he ignored his gut.

    EPILOGUE

I don’t think Desmond has time travel ability. It appears that he can enter dreams in current time. He can’t affect people’s pasts.
  20. Geemeedee

    Chapter 1

Oh shit. What magic artifact will Raven stumble upon in an antique store? Remember Julian's paperweight ...
  21. Geemeedee

    EPILOGUE

My first thought, “what good is THAT ability?” And then I realized: Desmond could be like Freddy Kruger — he could kill people in their dreams!! Oh, and other stuff, too. LOLLL Katya I’m impressed by the world you’ve created. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

    Chapter 27

Looks like we’re nearing the end of Raven and Julian’s tale. I’m excited to see where you take us next! In the meantime, I’ll have fun trying to guess Desmond’s other powers. Levitation? Ooh, flight? Teleportation. Something to do with poisons? I bet hearing all his students’ thoughts drove Desmond mad. He might have to take a leave until he can master blocking others’’ thoughts.

    Chapter 26

If Claudia's Guardians are Marvel’s Avengers, then Desmond with his burgeoning powers could lead DC’s Suicide Squad — bad guys who do good things.

    Chapter 25

I don’t understand this exchange: “Desmond, am I lying to you right now?” Gabriel interrupted him, and he frowned. “No,” he said slowly. “Oh, dammit...! That blast messed up my...” “I had pancakes for breakfast,” Gabriel said, and Sam frowned at that. Desmond stopped talking and stared at Gabriel without blinking. “With orange juice,” Rayhe nodded. “Rayhe...” Desmond said slowly. “Yeah,” Gabriel nodded. “I lied. I only had coffee.” “Rayhe...” Desmond said again, weaker this time.

    Chapter 24

Technically, Julian is sorta saving Desmond by not leaving him out there among the rocks with two dead bodies. I’m laughing because Julian’s pride (“I owe no one”) and Desmond’s honor mean both keep saving the person they hate the most.
