Desmond destroyed the mirror, so he probably got lots of powers but not the full package. I was embarrassed for Julian. He got taken down so easily! Raven really is his weakness. That Magda ... we have our share of mentally twisted villains in this story!

... Sorry, preoccupied by the fact that Raven and Julian fucked for hours, then put on the same clothes without showering. Ew. Magda said she would kill Raven if she found out something was amiss. She didn’t count on Julian being able to block her. So if they do a blood infusion she won’t know ... actually, she would know if she tried to use the mirror ... Raven being able to withstand the different bloods types in his system has got to count as an ability.

An apology wouldn’t happen because Julian isn’t sorry. And I agree with your mixed feelings about punishment for him. I look forward to finding out Desmond’s plan to thwart Magda. Wonder where she is?

Glad Julian and Raven are leaving because I’m 97% sure Sam is headed to get his mate. He shoulda listened when Desmond told him not to come. Now the question is, will he forgive Desmond and Rayhe for helping Julian.

Then he frowned and blinked again, as if translating Desmond’s words into the language that was familiar to him. “Yeah,” Desmond sighed again. I laughed loud and long.

Waaaaaait ... the twins had the mirror. How did Magda get it? And dang, Raven doesn’t even have one friend? He probably never will again, since Madga betrayed him. Boy, I was WAY off about her. She must be a universal donor for Raven to not get sick from her blood injected into his veins. :0) I was surprised that Julian didn’t have a spell in place to check for unwanted devices — until I remembered he doesn’t have any alarm system. Julian’s cockiness about no one ever entering his spaces is his downfall.

Unless she has powers of her own or someone supporting or compelling her, Magda would do no such thing. Hot damn, this just got quadruplely interesting! My favorite series on the site by far. drpaladin, thank you for reminding me of “the twins” Felix dealt with. I feel like when that “good” guardian pledged himself to Reagan (Nicholas? Daniel? I get them confused) he wasn’t in his right mind. Someone had control of him for an extended time, which means they are powerful af. Katya, I feel like this should be a premium story here, and I would gladly pay. However, we followers seem to be a small, hardy bunch that might be made even smaller if payment was involved, so ... shit. 😔

I couldn’t stop thinking about how they smelled like sweat, blood, saliva and sex while they were eating, drinking coffee and playing pool, LOL. Julian trusts Raven not to kill him during sex. Raven trusts Julian not to kill him for playing a trick. Neither has a problem with exhibiting their affection in public. (Does Julian really not notice people’s reactions? I don’t think he does.) While I like where their relationship is going, I’m apprehensive about how it’ll be used against them.

They are now equals in the relationship. The shift in the dynamic is sexy and dangerous. The butler is probably headed home to pack so he can get the eff outta town. Julian probably won’t hurt or kill him ... but the butler doesn’t know that. Ok, I’m actually hoping for a HEA for this twisted couple. Seems unlikely — they have forces aligned against each of them — but, you know, love. I’m a romantic.

Most people want to be understood and accepted, even sociopaths it seems. The fact that Julian is able to speak truths about himself and Raven doesn’t run is huge. But I think Julian has too many enemies for them to enjoy a HEA. I can imagine the state of those sheets. Raven should stock up on bed linens. As for Alfred, Raven is experiencing a streak of bad luck in his work. This is the third time he’s gotten caught. Maybe his time is running out as well.

So I’m the only one wondering if little humanoids with wings are gonna come out of those eggs? Is Captain saying there’s a traitor because someone had to go through Kohen’s poop to pull out the expelled egg? I’m a tad confused at this point. This story has SO many chapters. Cia, I wish you would drop the 1,000-word thing and make longer chapters. Or go back and combine chapters to make the count smaller. People are gonna see this story has like 100+ chapters and decide they don’t want to make the commitment.
