I figured Alice slurped down all that root beer to give herself one helluva sugar rush for fighting. Didn’t see it coming re: Jon is her bio dad. That was cool! Does Alice have the power to see the future as well? Since she seems to know her fate ...

And where did the wererats come from? (also — WERERATS?!) Rhisi: but what about when no one wanted to follow him? He would force people? Curious to see what Alice will do. At first I thought she might be Rhisi’s mate (he’d wait until she grew up), but ugh, to be paired with a mass murderer ... that’s mean. Great chapter! I was confused at times because there were characters I was supposed to remember but didn’t, but my heart was pounding as it all played out.

When I read, “Jarren, I’m telling you this from my gut, if that ashhole shot himself then I’m a monkey’s uncle” I went, “Oh, shit. Cassie.” The rest was enough to explain Nash’s behavior. Well done. Nope, didn’t see it coming. I like that Nate now helps disabled kids have moments of strength and joy. Welp, we know Nash will fit right in with Jarren’s circle. mfa’s right: it’s a small world. I see it proven almost every day.

Well, I know I’ll be surprised. All my guesses were headed in the wrong direction!

*wipes away tears* Affecting chapter. So many good people are lost to senseless violence. You’ve done a solid job portraying the shattered lives of the loved ones who are left. Say, when Wade left, did he take Kyle with him? Or did Kyle stay the entire time?

Cia, where you going with this? Is somebody gonna come looking for Chomper? He IS a pretty cool weapon. Guess we’ll know more when Freska, Danie and Deke return.

I like the way the chapter ended. When Logan had to face the wrath of the five friends I was most interested in what Riku would say. But he didn’t get a word! Not even a frown or a sigh. 😫

Really good chapter! I have a statement, a question and a possible spoiler. 1. You said Jarren put on a sweatshirt and socks two times. :0) 2. Do the twins wear plain sweatshirts or do they have sports logos or, like, Eddie Bauer on them?

I kept thinking about Grace, wondering if she bled out on the floor! I have several questions, but here are the big ones. 1) Who the eff is Hansen? Leon’s ex was named earlier in the story? 1a) And what leverage did Constantin have on him to make him willing to poison Leon? 2) Who posted the pics to get Petr involved? I guessed Shirley, because I thought she’s the one who had Leon’s camera. But Logan seemed surprised by Petr’s call, so I guess that wasn’t part of the plan. I gotta say, I find Leon’s resistance to the throne and unwillingness to live at the palace juvenile. He was raised as a royal heir. He knew one day he might be expected to take the throne. Do your duty, dude! 3) What the eff has Petr been talking about re: joining the club? He simply meant people with lots of money and power? Members of royal families have married plenty of commoners — look at Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan. He didn’t need to be rich to be worthy. Sorry to see the story end. I like the characters you’ve created. I agree with the earlier commenter who wanted to see Leon and Logan with their kids. Speaking of: with Leon being the last of the royal line (unless Gia has kids), what becomes of the monarchy? I voted earlier to abolish it, since Leon didn’t want to take it on.

Oh! I couldn’t tell. If that’s the case, this story isn’t for me after all. I’m a girl, too, but I like to read about boys. 😏

Welp, gotta have a good villain — hell, this series has them in spades! I feel bad for Henry, tho — a great power marred by great weakness.
