The first employment I had out of high school was with a company called, 'Adams Engraving & Embossing' (1969). Inventory Control Assistant (read gopher), I learned a heck of a lot about paper quantities, not to mention just how heavy a shipment of it could be(bundles & bales). My gross weekly pay was about $27. The only perk I got was that I was allowed to make (on my own time) my own embossed business card. Back to your comment, 480 sheets was(still is) called a 'short' ream. Today 500 sheets(what you buy in stores) is also known as a 'long' ream. Flash back to me. I lasted 6 months there, then I joined the military and the rest as they say is history. Units of paper quantity - Wikipedia

@raven1@drpaladin I thought of her other series also. However Myr (clever fellow that he is) provided the answer with the film clip he included. Top right hand corner, faint, but visible for all to see - Keeping Up Appearances. Score: Myr - 1 Drpalidin, raven1, sandrewn - 0 -

Just in case any of you were wondering? I think she is ' Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced Bouquet, if you please) ' from the British sitcom, Keeping Up Appearances. As a tie in, her husband, Richard, would have been a great example for the Wednesday(23rd) - Word of the Day - henpeck(ed). Toodeloo, -

Do as much as you can, as long as you are able, never give up. It means everything to her now. It will mean that much more to you in the years to come. sandrewn (From one son, to another)

You have GA as your location?? Distribution: Bolas spiders are found in America, Africa including Madagascar, and Australasia northwards into Asia. They do not occur in temperate Eurasia. About half of the known Mastophora species occur in South America. The genus is distributed from southern Chile to the northern US (to 45° north latitude in Minnesota). M. archeri, M. bisaccata, M. hutchinsoni and M. phrynosoma occur widely in the US east of the Great Plains. M. cornigera occurs from Alabama to California, as well as in northern Mexico. In his explanation, he said he put her on a green pillow case and used a spot light. That this was a crop of her on the green pillow case, the full picture was saved by him, but I could not find it to show you. I think the green and checkered pattern were a reflection of it.

Well it it seems that at least, you and I will be saving ourselves some money. As will Aramis( I mean Mancunian ), after reading this. Maybe even D'Artagnan( oops, I mean TalonRider ) if he stops by.

bunting - Word of the Day - Wed Aug 16, 2023

I learned a couple things about 'Bunting' today. I knew about (as noun), cloth or paper decorations. I didn't know about the wrap/blanket for babies or as a genus of birds. I do think that most of us know about... Baseball: Bunting Bunting is holding the bat out to tap the ball without swinging the bat. The idea is to hit the ball a short distance causing the pitcher or third baseman to have to field the ball. Baseball: Bunting -

@JamesSavik I feel like a failure, but I know I've done my best for her. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not caring, not going to see her as much as you can, that would make you a failure. Keep doing what you are doing, enjoy every second you spend with her. Let her know you are there for her, cherish the time you have left. You are all she has and you make all the difference in the time she has. Now it is all about her, think positive loving thoughts. Now is not the time to grieve, but to rejoice in her living and the life she gave you all. This is what I did for my mom, she was 94. My thoughts and prayers to you, sandrewn -
SORRY!! - I spent several hours today trying to to put a photo of my Trans Am into my album, it was 2.2 Megs, 2 Megs is the maximum allowed. I tried so many different things that now I can't even copy a joke or picture to this post, from anywhere. The same thing happened with my 'Did You Know' and now my 'Spiders' So, bare with me until I figure it out. I am sure it is a simple solution, I'll try my best. I keep getting, Insert existing attachment or Insert image from URL. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks in advance,

A very effective carrot you dangled there! You knew someone would be curious enough to look for that 'BONK' . I recalled that bonk, it was from an episode that I really liked. Well done my friend. Night owl - check. Liked to drive fast - check. Police - not so lucky. Mind you the fact that I had a 1979 SE Turbo charged Trans Am w/T-top, might have been a factor! This is a spitting image of what I had (have, it is still in my garage, buried in dust and forty years of junk. Ask me no questions, I'll tell you no lies. It even has the same wheel rims (heavy sigh).

agnosia - Word of the Day - Sat Jul 22, 2023

As far back as I can remember, my mom was the matriarch of our family. My dad was a big man, but knew better than to argue with her. In the end only she and I were left. Years before she passed, often forgetting how to make many of her recipes, things I took for granted all of my life. So I guess I had an inkling of the things to come. The last two years really hit home for me. Mom was the one to go to for names, places, dates and stories about any and all in the family and friends, where ever in the world they were. So its was a shock, when in 2017 for the first in my life, nobody remembered my birthday. 7+billion people in the world and no longer even the one I could always depend on was there to celebrate with me. We celebrated the birthdays and lit a candle for the passings of my dad and sister, but I never mentioned my BD to her again. I miss you mom,💔 until we all meet again. sandrewn -
