Ohh, we get out first hint at the Master of Fire story and the fact that Rudy gets reborn as himself with strong memories. I assume Sam and Gary shared boy magic? I hope it healed Sam's heart a bit. Sad about the innocent boys hit by the avalanche.
I felt sad about the loss of Hanna's father. But somehow I felt even sadder at the thought of Famous-Barr being bought up and their long tradition of Santaland with a store Santa Claus being throw away in the name of captalism and 'progress.' You've done the impossible: made us love Famous-Barr like a person with a beautiful soul and a long glorious past.
Perhaps Zac will be able to act rationally and think ahead, now he has gotten his bearings and earned his self-respect, but somehow I doubt it. But it would be nice if he didn't insist on doing everything himself and stopped yelling at people who care about him. He should have let his dad talk to his coach(es), and he should have asked Jim's advice about Rachel.
Uhm, Dayne, if not already the case, it will soon be the other way round: We'll be the ones having Sempai moments if you notice us or our stories.
I also moved from LitE to here, and I found friends rather than trolls, and my stories got noticed rather than ignored. I've never looked back.
I don't think much of AJ right now. He should have fired Jon by now. But perhaps he has an apprentice contract for a specific amount of time? Kip needs to be very careful, and he should tell AJ that Jon is touching him in unwanted ways. If only to protect his uncle's master piece.
There are so many fantastic one-liners and short, but amazingly descriptive sentences. I'm not surprised Graeme had difficulties chosing his favorite for each chapter, when he wrote reviews.
Some of my favorite parts involve the gifts for the Iceman and Cory giving the football team a dancing lesson.
I agree with Andy: lots of important lessons for George and us. I thought the road kill joke funny, even though I knew what Arthur knew. I think George is doing very well in adapting.
Another part I had forgotten, somehow. The fire on the ship and Marty channeling power to Chandler. But most importantly the Love Forever Oath. They do not know yet what it means, but we do and are glad to hear it.
Nice party, and Marty and Chandler seems to have gotten the idea of the boy magic sharing. Our first glimpse of Rudy, I know he's important, but I'd forgotten he liked Marty.
Probably my favorite chapter of this story, partly because the boys say they love each other and partly because they finally find someone to explain the world.
I'm not surprised Marty is utterly shocked by what happened, but Chandler is right to focus on the fact his friend saved his life, And he gave Marty his dagger (I know what that means from your other story).
It's good that Marty and Chandler are in a safe place where they can explore their talents and learn more of the world. The long life spans were a major surprise, of course.
It's a good thing Chandler has survival in the wild skills.
PS Edible fungi are actually a good source of protein, but you should never pick mushrooms you don't know and especially never in a foreign place. So Chandler is being sensible even if he's wrong about the nutritional value.
