Ooh, a cliff hanger. Although I guess they need to get to a safe place and make some more preparations before they take on the construct. Plus doing so will probably alert the High King due to the surge of energy being spent. And I think Ranevargar should check where Kieran's energy comes from first. What if he's draining it from somewhere and killing people or flora and fauna there?

Aditus got this message in a PM, but says the link doesn't work. Your A Hell of a Mess story have been added to the {series_title} series. Approve this addition here - https://gayauthors.org/stories/series/222-viking-valentine/?do=approveStory&story=6696 PS droughtquake tells me the message of Contributor has to approve is visible to others. https://gayauthors.org/stories/browse/?sortdirection=desc&page=3

I guess I can understand why Jack doesn't want to come out, and feels his life will change for the worse if he does. I hope Tracy will respect this.
-
You mean Nate, right ?
-
Oh yeah, Nate is falling hard, and Tad seems to be interested too. And they certainly fit well sexually. But why is Chris so certain Nate will react the same way he did? Maybe he'll be OK with whatever it is Tad has decided which drove Chris away.
-
Uh, oh, has Mr Player finally met his match ? Is Nate going to get his heart broken? And what decision has Tad made, which drove Chris off ?
-
Hmm, I can't decide if Kent was overreacting or Nate was being insensitive. How was he supposed to know Kent was in denial about being gay? And he did try to apologize and talk to him. I didn't get the impression Kent had a crush on Nate, so it must be something else which made him upset.
-
I guess I feel sorry for Chris, since Tad seems to be dealing with the heartbreak a little better. I'm surprised to learn Nate is a player, but on the other hand this may be what Tad needs as in-between companion.
-
Nate seems OK with being the rebound guy, and at least Tad is open to the suggestion. I hope it works out for them.
-
Thanks, Myr. Your suggestion worked perfectly. Aditus has now approved being contributor. I could then add the story, and now the addition just need to be approved by @aditus
-
Freedom to do what? Start another story ?
-
I did do the adding-and-approve thing the first time, but I think @aditus just approved the Cupid Central being added and not being added as second author. I don't see him listed as Contributor. I'll try again the way you suggested.
-
Thanks, Myr. Sorry about not adding links to the series and the story. I didn't realize you would need to look at them to resolve the matter.

I checked the Help topic (shown below) but it only mentioned how to add a story of your own to a series. Another option to add a story to a series seems to be choosing the option Add a Story to Series under the Manage button. A pop-up window then asks for the story title. This is the way I added Cupid Central by @aditus to my Viking Valentine series. I wanted to add the new Anthology story A Hell of a Mess as well, but when I typed the story title, the system couldn't find it. In fact, the Story Title pop-up editor would only find stories by me, and not anything by other authors. However, since I'm co-author of A Hell of a Mess, this is still a bit strange. On the other hand, I don't get the option to use the green + button described in the Help topic, so I guess the system is consistent. Do you have a suggestion how to solve this, other than asking a GA admin to add the story ?
-
Sigh, Aidan still didn't tell Heath about his horrible boss and the way he's treated at work. I find that more annoying than both of them refusing to admit they're falling in love.

You can find all of them in this series list. I would ignore my long, incomplete story (No 1) and start with Cupid Central. By the time you've gotten through the A.I. trilogy, we should have posted the last DDD chapter.

Ahh, now I know what you mean. Yeah, I can see the 'Share this post' icon, but I've rarely used it.
-
I think this may depend on the browser, because I do not see the pale grey arrow in Chrome on a laptop. Your post is the first time I've ever seen that icon. So I'm not used to looking for it. I simply got to the story page and get the URL from the long space at the top of the browser.

Editing and struggle: chopping ones own words
Timothy M. replied to Warrior1's topic in Writer's Circle
Interesting. I hadn't thought about this, maybe because I don't delete enough during editing. On the other hand, my beta readers are more likely to tell me to expand a scene than to remove text. ( @Valkyrie I'm looking at you ) If you feel sad about deleting lines, why don't you remove them to another document and save it for later use ? I sometimes do that, if I wrote parts which I later decide don't fit in the current chapter. -
Spring Anthology: In the Stars & Snapped *Set 2* - NOW LIVE
Timothy M. commented on Renee Stevens's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Another great set of stories. As far as I can work out, there are 16 contributions, so we have two more sets to look forward to. -
Reading this story again I started thinking of the mixed curse and blessing of modern cell phones and of social media. The mix-up mainly blew up due to the people around the twins being able to take photos and video, which could then go viral. And it got worse because Austin and his friends for once were not immediately reachable on their phones. If they had been, the matter might have been cleared up sooner. On the other hand Cam and Aus might never have met if not for the natural human interest in stories like these. Even if Cam and Jen (and Jen's mom) hadn't watched the broadcast, someone who knew them would have seen the story as it went around twitter etc. I was a little sad Trevor wasn't present at the party at the end of the story, but I assume he's met Austin at other occasions. I'm glad to hear he's still best man for Cam, who'll suddenly have a much larger family and group of friends to attend his wedding.

Well, if the issue was Azrael feeling a little freaked out about this, I'm sure the straight male could relate.
-
Wonderful final chapter - I'll be back with a comment or two tomorrow. It's time for bed.

Don't worry, it'll give us a reason to read again and maybe discover fun details we've missed.
-
Hmm, interesting questions. I'm not sure I can answer them without thinking it over, except maybe the last one. Azrael wasn't on his own when he first transitioned to female. At least one of two other (male) angels who shared the duty was still present physically, so Azrael could talk to him about it.
