As a guy I'm not sure he'll think of these possible future complications just yet, and maybe Azrael is in no hurry to mention it.

I was asleep during the only noteworthy earthquake we've had in (Copenhagen,) Denmark in recent years. I think it was 2.1 and only enough to rattle the china and people's minds. I know people in US who were just about to leave uni years ago to go on field work when their car started bouncing gently up and down. They tried to see if some of their colleagues were playing a trick on them. It took a while for them to realize it was a small earthquake.

Yeah, I'm sorry about the Diego story spoilers. We tried to avoid them, but I can see one or two slipped past. I'm very much looking forward to your comments on that story. It's almost complete. You had me at most of your reactions above.

Which event are we talking about ? Getting shot by arrows won't register, and their making out won't either. The rest of it didn't take place on Iceland - but you and @Parker Owens may have come up with another reason Azrael moved them (and their belongings) to his garden. LOL, you may be on to something here. Maybe it's a good thing they're in Azrael's garden which is outside time and normal space. That should prevent any effects leaking.

The sadness of children being let down by their parents is never-ending. I'm glad those two boys found something precious in the midst of their problems, and I hope they'll be able to stay together. Beautifully written, Thorn.

That was bloody brilliant, mate. I'm normally not fond of poetry, but I enjoyed this a lot. And yes, I did read it out to myself. I hope he finds his covert lover one day.

That was fun - but maybe not so much for the characters while it happened. It must have been really bewildering, especially for Cam. I hadn't guessed the identical twin thing - or maybe I should say mirror twins since one is gay and the other straight. I'm glad their partners were sensible and tried to find a rational explanation.

Maybe because it was easier to put the girls in white dresses to look like angel robes ? I can relate to your disgust of being forced to participate. I'd have thought the teachers would have been pleased not to have to find roles for every kid.

Thanks - it took me a while to work it out. For Azrael it's once a century, but then it lasts ten years. (And Diego hasn't thought of a possible consequence, yet. )

Maybe visiting the bar again was an important way of confirming that their love and connection was real while it lasted. That the feelings evoked in the narrator were true, and his happiness at the time was a good thing no matter what happened later to end their relationship. He might have regrets about their relationship not lasting, but he should never have regrets about loving the guy because it created so many wonderful memories. They can be savored and treasured regardless.
