  1. We've been under similar rules here for several months. The biggest issue I have had is getting to the door of a store after crossing a huge parking lot and realizing I left the dang mask hanging from my rear view mirror. I got a ten pack of white cotton masks, end of the day they get tossed in the whites load done on sanitary setting (straight hot wash and rinse and longer wash cycle) with bleach. Not really a fuss at all.
  2. Holy water dump Batman! Hope you are high and at least semi dry @mollyhousemouse. Just saw on the morning tropical report parts of texas got more than a months worth of rain over the last 24 hours and Beta ain't done with you guys yet! Stay safe!
  3. @MichaelS36, tim's health and well being are a much higher priority than visiting with online friends. We will all be here when/if visiting is good for him and you. Please know that in addition to taking care of tim, you need to take care of yourself as well. My pm is always open should you need a shoulder for a little extra support.
  4. We will need lots of bleach, a big freezer and a wood chipper. Yes I have been hanging out with fiction authors too long!
  5. I'm not very forgiving tonight am I? Sometimes I get all momma bear when my friends are being given crap.
  6. Shame on the clerk too!
  7. How about making right for THIS time? I could understand an emergency delaying things, or a proceedure taking longer than anticipated. I cant understand rude incompetance under any circumstances, let alone allowing it to go on with the additional issues tim needs to deal with. If tim was 30 late they would have been vocal about it not hapening today. What makes their time more valuable than mine? Like it or not, they provide a service. So provide it with a degree of professionalism!
  8. Thanks for the link molls! It was a great resourse for my husband. He never quite understood how i could be out of go for the day but be too wide awake to sleep.
  9. The hard part was taking the leap, as you and Mike well know. Very hard to walk away from a job after 20 years.
  10. On a personal note, I have not had a migraine since I tendered my resignation. I have taught more lessons as an independent contractor ($50/hr)in the last week than I did in 6 months (my pay $12/hr) for the barn, have shows booked for every weekend from now till Thanksgiving, some using all 3 trailers, and seem to have more free time in spite of being twice as busy. Quitting was the best decision I have made in a very long time!
  11. Unfortunately there are lots of times the decision makers dont think things through. They cover attaining an initial goal but dont consider fallout down the line.

    Chapter 17

Awww, half the fun is watching your reaction to the wild speculation! You keep writing I'll keep reading
  13. My brother was known to patrol the isles at the toy store trying toys to judge the annoying noise level. The same PIA bro would put batteries in or wrap a set as a secondary gift so the annoyance could begin immediately. Feel better soon Rick.
  14. You just have to put up with batty old Aunt Kitt! I think I am the oldest of the bunch at 60 anyway!
  15. Then we are doing our jobs as friends in spite of the distance and limitations. You need to know we love you too!

    Chapter 16

We may have decided, but Mann's opinion is the only one that counts!
  18. It's amazing how easy your day becomes when you cut back to only 1 full time job!

    Chapter 16

We dont know that yet. No quoting facts not in evidence! I think Sawyer may disagree with your sentiment on a relaxed chapter from his position on the sidewalk!
  20. Skips through singing I just bought a new trailer I just bought a new trailer.
  21. Happy Birthday Mike. May your evening be as pleasant as your day, even more.
  22. They did order enough to include hubby and me.
  23. This is not their fault. Horse shows seldom run on schedule. Anything and everything from breaks to groom the ring taking longer than anticipated to a rider falling, stopping all activity while the emt's do their thing can mess up the timing. Just part and parcel of horse showing. Its just the first time clients ever had a pizza delivered to a show.
  24. It's not a good sign when your customer, who was supposed to be done at the show at 2, texts you @ 4 from the ring and says "we ordered pizza, we are gonna be a while."
