Um, Brett retired from the service due to injury, not age. Moving out 30 years ago didn't leave him much growing up time. Nice on Carlos. No complaints from me on chapter length, just frequency!

Hey, you knew more than most peeps seem to! The rest is just the science geek in me.

Here they broke construction into groups. The new barn i am looking to move to = non essential. New strip mall/new housing = non essential. Fix the roof after microburst hit it with a tree= essential. The trick is figuring out which side your particular project falls on.

Also prolongs its life. Keeping the sacrificial anode in decent shape is important too. It's a zinc bar that hangs in the tank dispelling any electrolysis similar to the zinc plates on a boat. As the name implies, the process eats away at the zinc instead of the heater works, and must be replaced periocically. Ok, the chemistry major in me will shut up now.

The good thing, if the doc sends him chasing tests, you can safely add b vitamins or a multi vitamins daily. Can't hurt and might help.

Good morning all. Think I would drink more than wine. Am i the only one who a) flushes sediment from the heater annually. And b ) inspects the sacrificial annode at the same time? Had the heater in the trailer the barn hand lives in fail a few weeks back. Asked the boss, an electrical engineer who went back to school and obtained a teaching degree, when was the last time those two things were done? His answer: "Whats a sacrificial annode?" Could be something as simple as a B vitamine deficiency. B's are water soluble, so it becomes easy to flish out more than you take in, especially in hot weather.

I think I am starting to lose my mind. This morning a conversation lead to an image in my mind of a dude ranch, in which well built shirtless men wandered around a green field just sort of hanging out similar to a herd of horses. Reading this evening's posts brought back that image.

That is because if you leave two unfinished pieces of paperwork, or worse yet two unanswered emails, alone for more than 30 seconds at a time, they multiply like horny little bunnies! Ever notice if you actually hit the bottom of the days work pile early, and you are killing time for punch out, not a single email or phone call will come in till 5 min to quitting time and that one will need at least 20 min to fix? Thanks tim, and Rick too. Too bad it isn't like that at the place I have been busting my ass for over the last 15 years.

Hey @Renee Stevens Can you enlighten us?

So far Mike is right. The PT is a nice guy, but I am starting to dread walking into the office after a week of treatment. My first reaction was definitely to kick him in the head, since laying on my stomach made punching him in the face impossible.

They have issued our first air quality alert of the season here, that ground level ozone has the potential of approaching unhealthy levels. They specifically mentioned those with asthma and recovering from covid may have issues. I was pleasantly surprised today. After Sunday's water bucket issue and a bunch of other stuff, I decided to resign from teaching at the barn. Put word out to a few friends today I was interested in a position at another farm, and got calls from 2 places that want to sit down to talk with me, and neither is the place I am looking to move my horses to!

What on earth are you two doing up so early? Absolutely beautiful here, Cool and clear, watched the sunrise with my magic bean juice. Now planning to do my morning paperwork and be done before hubby even wakes.

I was a chem major befor leaving school for a job in a qc lab. I could get into all sorts of trouble just with whats under my kitchen sink. Makes me glad most protesters dont seem to have had the same classes i did! (shudders)

I am working on that now. Waiting on the new barn to be completed on the new place. Was interupted by covid shut down of non essential construction. Its a shame. I have been here 20 yrs now.

Hey gang I need an opinion First a few Givens Horses drink lots of water. Vets recommend a minimum of 10 gallons per day. Horses will not drink scummy water, therefore buckets must be cleaned daily. So now the question. Would you be upset to come in and find your horses water bucket green slimy and covered with a film of oil and dirt? Would you complain to the barn owner, since speaking to the barn hands has done no good? Would you take offence in being told you are being bitchy for complaining about this situatiion for the 3rd time in as many months? Last two times they cleaned properly till i stopped inspecting the buckets daily and went back to topping off dirty buckets.

When I was in first grade, I had three very close friends. Two of them had the last name Brown. C was a blond haired white girl, L was a dark skinned black girl. I tried to steer my mom to one of them on the playground one day by saying "the little Brown girl". Mom went to the person of color thinking I meant the color of her skin. She was flabbergasted when I said "No mom, the little one. That is the tall one!" She realized she did a decent job teaching me to see the person, not the skin color. I hope I did as well with Wings!

He did have to duck my foot several times that first day @MichaelS36. I could not seem to stop myself from kicking towards his head as he sat on a stool next to the table. Guess it's the mare in me lol!

yesterday I saw a news piece featuring a four-year-old who wanted to march in a "peace rally ". Mama was really proud that she wanted to March. This was followed by pictures of the little girl marching. Her sweet little face I turned to one of pure hatred. She was stomping her feet swinging her little fists around, and generally looked like she was throwing a childhood fit while shouting slogans. Hatred like that is taught. What could have possibly directly affected that child's life to teach her such hatred, unless her parents have been shouting it at her for months. People need to learn to teach their children well. You teach them to hate then they they teach their children to hate, and the cycle never breaks.

You just described my favorite hot weather meal. I will also do things like ham or chicken salad in a hollowed out tomato, with the tomato innards on the side with olive oil garlic and herbs.

That was quick delivery! I wear shorts and tank or sun tops inside all year round. I do get funny looks from the UPS guy if I answer the door in shorts in February, but the mail carrier thinks it quite normal. He is one of the carriers they have to order back into long pants in the winter.

That homework sounds so much better than the math my daughter used to ask for help with!

Is a bit early to tell yet. Have not finished my first cup of magic bean juice yet.

I would also suggest story reviews to get a grip on content. Most reviewers try hard to give an honest critique without giving spoilers.

Now gents, let's get the terminology correct. Its leaf elixir and magic bean juice
