Another wonderful chapter! The end had me in tears.
Leaving home at 14, Silas is so lucky to have survived this far. Ian and Amy are great, they really want Silas with them and are giving him a loving home. So glad Silas feels that he can stay there.
Now he needs to hear The navigator again and realise that the song is about him
Wonderful chapter!
You really know how to create fabulous characters, and Amy is fabulous and so kind. But where is Ian? It seems like Amy is spending time with Silas and trying to get through to him, and Ian is nowhere to be seen.
Silas watching the families made me think that he must be missing his. Probably not the family he left behind but the feeling of belonging to a family. Hopefully he´ll give Ian and Amy a chance to be his family.
I really like how you are including the band in this story. It´s so nice to know what´s happening in their lives. I found the lyrics to the navigator. Beautiful song
At the end it seemed like Chelsea was feeling better. It´s very worrying to see someone so depressed. I think she needs professional help, Silas is good but not that good.
I hope Chelsea starts feeling better soon, she sounds very depressed. Amy´s lovely, she really cares about Silas and wants him to stay. Brilliant chapter!
Pastor Simms must have forgotten some basic teachings of Christianity, like treating people with respect and love. He needs to be in prison for abusing his own daughter. Chelsea was very lucky that Silas or rather Adelaide found her, she would have frozen to death during the night, so would have Silas if he had stayed at the camp. Ian seems like a wonderful brother.
Silas is very lucky, he keeps meeting some great people. I´m sure he has met not so nice people in the past, but Adam turned out to be a good guy and so did Tara. So, did officer Bigot saw Chelsea and Tara kissing? I better read on to find out
Chelsea is a wonderful friend, she´s very clever and understands what´s going on in Silas' world, at least some of it. And she has dog food for Addy Now Silas needs to think about everything Jenny told him about Ian, and then he needs to meet Ian and listen to him tell the same things. Like he said he doesn´t have a family, but he could have Ian and his husband (it is husband, isn´t it?). Great story
Why would anyone call the police when someone walks past their garden?! Weird
It looks like Chelsea will be a great friend to Silas and he needs friends and I get an impression that Chelsea needs friends, too. Can´t wait for Silas to meet Ian again
I´m glad the band is still in the story and they didn´t just say goodbye to Silas and go away. Wherever this leads it´s great that there are people thinking of Silas and care about him. Really enjoying the story so far
Hopefully Ian finds Silas and they can make their peace and become brothers again. Silas at least needs someone who cares about him, even though he wouldn´t admit it.
Interesting first chapter. Poor Silas,16 and on his own, well with the dog. And now someone scary enters his life, hopefully not anyone too scary or dangerous.
Apart from the phone call, everything seemed good in this chapter. Dave is a nice guy and Reece deserves to have a nice person in his life after the way his family has been treating him.
Finally remembered that I haven´t read this story yet I´m not very keen on hot sauna but of course I have one, though it´s usually just warm, not hot. I liked the story, Juha and Adam seem like a lovely couple and I agree with others, a sequel would be nice.
