Sounds like my furniture, bed is new and three of my bookselves, everything else is old family stuff or bought used. Most of the books I need and want for my work can only be bought used. And I´ve always bought a lot of my clothes used.

I do love happy endings It´s so nice that Bernard and Jack found a way to be together and the last diary entry made them seem very happy together. Great story

When Jack got angry with Bernard and threw that bottle, it didn´t make any sense. Well, not to me at least. Why did he get so angry all of the sudden? He seems to have some issues in keeping his temper in control. That too could use few sessions with a therapist. Bernard starting a new job could be a good thing for them both. They could start again in a new, neutral place. No memories of Randy or things that got wrong with them. I still would like to see them together, but especially Jack needs to do a lot of work to get their relationship healthy and loving.

I´ve been trying to figure out how old Scott is, but 19 is surprisingly young, I thought he´d be older. He seems to be settling in fine and getting to know new people. Very enjoyable story.

If Scott is British, why does he even have an American passport? That sounds weird, but I like your story so far.

I can totally relate to Scott and the shower, there have been few British showers that have made me very confused during my visits there. So, Scott hasn´t been missed and at least auntie Christine wishes he had stayed away. Wonder how the rest of the family will react.

I think Brett overreacted. Obviously Sam shouldn´t have lied to Brett but I think he had a right to go and see Amber, but he should have told Brett the truth. It´ll be interesting to see how you´ll fix this for them. Surely Sam and Brett can talk about what happened and be happy again, they clearly love each other.

Almost all TV series and films I watch these days are British. One of my favourite phrases is "I´ll put the kettle on" Now that I´ve been reading stories here, I´ve been re-learning American words and expressions.

Bernard is finally getting his life in order, is looking forward a promotion and a chance to start a new life and has good relationship with his sister. He´s still in love with Jack and Jack is in a very bad way. Wonder how much Bernard feels he´s responsible for Jack? Can he leave him behind if Jack won´t stop drinking? Jack says he won´t hurt Bernard, but he already has hurt him. Not physically but words hurt too. Since Jack is drinking again, he most likely (and hopefully) has lost his job, no-one wants a drunken doctor. You really don´t let your characters have an easy life

I had a traumatic experience with my bicycle and someone else´s car some years ago. Luckily I was wearing my helmet, otherwise I wouldn´t be cycling anymore. I´m still amazed that only things that got broken were my bike and helmet. After that I always wear my helmet and never presume that people driving cars know when they should stop, I always stop first.

Brett and Will need to talk! It´s obvious they want more than just friendship from each other, but one of them needs to say it out aloud.

I don´t drive. I get around by using my bicycle and buses or taxis. More ecological for me and much cheaper than keeping a car.

I agree with the others. This was such a sweet chapter. Lovely wedding and Button is so cute getting into all sorts of mischief like little boys do

The parents are treating all three of them like children. It´s surprising that Will lets them do that after being away from his parents lives for so many years. I have a feeling that Brett is in love with Will but is afraid to tell him that. Wonder how soon Brett finds himself sleeping in a different bed, mummy doesn´t like boys sleeping together.
