  1. Yay! Welcome to the readership!
  2. Poor, closeted, homophobic Alan Bradford... Thanks for reading!

    Chapter 8

I totally do that when I've posted a new chapter... Terrible habit, I know. Hate it when people obsess over split infinitives. IMO, they're neither good nor bad in and of themselves. Sweet chapter! A lot to recognise oneself in, here. Glad Dan's got a little bit of hope. Looking forward to seeing what happens next! Could one truly be happy by themselves for the rest of their life? No. One could, however, truly be happy by oneself for the rest of one's life. Or a person could be happy by themselves for the rest of their life.
  4. Dave thinks life is complex enough without complicating things further by being stubborn and refusing to accept his own thoughts and feelings. It's what I love about him as a character. And Alan is quite interesting, yes. There will be more about him, in time. Thank you for reviewing!
  5. *whispers* Shh, Nick doesn't know yet! Thank you, as always!
  6. I never really watched either of those... I may have caught a couple episodes of Gundam at some point, think they may have shown it at that anime club I used to attend in my teens, in the early days, can't quite remember. There's a live action Beck movie as well, btw. It's pretty good, actually. Lots of ridiculously pretty Japanese men in it and above average acting for a movie of its kind. It has a couple of aspects that really get on my nerves, but it's well worth a watch.
  7. Never thought you'd make me perspire. Never thought I'd do you the same. Never thought I'd fill with desire. Never thought I'd feel so ashamed. Nemesis Chapter Seven: My Sweet Prince is up!
  8. I want to see Star Trek. Because it's Star Trek, and also because Benedict Cumberbatch, who is yummy. In the House looked very interesting as well, I'd love to see that. Heard about This is the End a while back, and it sounds really funny, so I'd love to see that, too. And Much Ado About Nothing... Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, Joss Whedon AND Shakespeare? Need I possibly say more? Pacific Rim looks interesting, I love sci-fi. Also, Charlie Hunnam, I remember him from the original UK Queer as Folk! <3 Girl Most Likely maybe, just because Darren Criss. Elysium looks cool. As for The World's End, I saw Martin Freeman and am already sold, because I love that man and everything he does. Not on the list, of course, as they're already out, but I intend to see Iron Man 3, and I might go see Cloud Atlas tomorrow or the next day. I'm reading the book, which is quite amazing.
  9. CHAPTER SEVEN My Sweet Prince God, I am so bored! Nick read the text with a small smile. Dave was still grounded, and would be for another couple of days, as punishment for landing himself in detention. As a result, the two of them hadn’t yet had an opportunity to hang out, but Dave had texted him the moment he got home from the detention, and kept doing so several times a day since then. Nick texted him back. Aww, poor thing! Knee still not well enough for football either?
  10. Yay! Thank you! Next chapter will be up later today.
  11. Oh, wow, must try to find that! I'm still waiting for the promised live-action Evangelion, myself... I'm so into that kind of thing it's not even funny. I watched the first couple of episodes of Sakamichi no Apollon last night. If you like the whole discovering music as a way of life thing in it, you might enjoy Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad, if you haven't seen it already. Replace jazz with rock and the 60s with right now, and you're looking at a very similar story. I recommend watching it in English, if for no other reason than that there are some characters that are meant to speak English in the original and while some of them do so quite well, others are just embarrassing to listen to. Also, all the English song lyrics are much better in the dub. Someone should make a fan mix of the dialogue, where all the American characters get voices from the dub, and all the songs are dubbed.
  12. Hi, Jay! I'm pretty new around here, too. My brother studies psychology at the University of Queensland, in Brisbane. He's graduating this summer (well, winter for you, I guess, or what passes for it, I understand it's pretty hot over there). Wish I'd had time (read: money) to visit while he's been there, but my parents did go last year. From the pictures, Queensland appears to be fairly stunning.
  13. She doesn't seem the type who'd register to leave a review. AO3 has guest reviews, so... But she linked me to Dan's Conundrum and said I might like it. Which I very much did.
  14. Yeah, it is, FishWings. For NaNoWriMo it's 50,000 words in a month. For Camp NaNoWriMo you get to set your own limit, though. I set mine to 50,000 anyway, and did 53k, myself.
  15. Thank you, leshwar! And yeah, pretty much, Zombie.
  16. I just read up on Sakamichi no Apollon and, OMG, Yoko Kanno made the music!!! I must, simply must, see this! Thank you! Yay! Friend! I loved the Rurouni Kenshin OVAs, the Samurai X things? Gorgeous animation and, oh my goodness, the music! I used one of the melodies from that thing when we did a 9/11 physical theatre thing for drama class back in secondary school, because it was literally the saddest piece of music I could think of.
  17. Thank you! And this is NaNoWriMo and this is Camp NaNoWriMo.
  18. Thank you so much! <3
  19. The next chapter will be posted tomorrow. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and review all this! You're lovely! <3
  20. Dave is, for all his flaws, a fairly well-adjusted and, at times, painfully rational and analytical individual.
  21. Craig is quite horrible. And poor Dave, can't be easy to have feelings that you don't really understand...
  22. I think Linda's true intentions were pretty clear to everyone. Everyone but Nick, that is. Poor thing. He just wanted to feel normal...
  23. It's usually the little things, isn't it? First impressions, tiny gestures, that determine our relationships with the people around us. A bad first impression can easily break a relationship. Thanks for reading! <3
  24. Yay! Thank you!
