  1. Another way to learn about various authors is to check out @Carlos Hazday's Ask an Author blog posts. They can be found in the Author News blog here.
  2. Babe, you're 30 (according to your profile, anyway). You are young. You have to be, cause I'm 31 and I'm young.
  3. The number of reviews thing isn't how many reviews the author has received but how many they've written. If you want to read the reviews for an author's works, the easiest way of doing that is to go to their story page and scroll through. Generally, any story with stars attached has reviews. Keep in mind that stories without reviews aren't necessarily not good, they just didn't have readers who bothered leaving reviews; not everyone feels comfortable doing that. As for what reviews people have written, it's actually pretty easy to find. Click on 'See their activity'. You'll get a sidebar where you can choose the type of activity, and there you can select 'Story Reviews'. You can also see all story comments a member has made, and any stories they have beta'd or edited. As for About Me sections, that's something all members have. You don't necessarily learn anything about an author's work from that. Honestly, as with books anywhere else, the best way to figure out whether you'll like an author's work is to read it. Find a blurb that intrigues you. Give it a chapter or so. If you don't like it, stop reading. And as opposed to other books, here you don't even have to buy it to find out. Personally, it takes about five minutes of my time to figure out if a story is for me or not.
  4. It's a liberating choice, I think. At least it has been for me, though I'm still kind of in the process of coming out as trans. I hope that coming out will grant you peace and happiness. Best of luck! And no matter what, we will all be here for you. Morning, DiC! Hope you all have a good day.
  5. Only reason I'm not just watching the whole thing in a day is cause I'm watching it with Paul and we're restricted to the time between dinner and him leaving for work.
  6. Paul and I started on Stranger Things 3 last night. Three episodes then, three episodes this evening. So we have two left to watch tomorrow. Some shows are harder than others not to binge, damn.
  7. Have managed to get some writing done today! Woot! Daring to hope that this means I'm out of my rut.
  8. Morning, DiC. Hope everyone's well. Have a good day!
  9. Goodnight, DiC. See you tomorrow!
  10. Hey, @Brayon, how are you doing?
  11. It means they've got a lot of reacts. Likes and hearts and stuff. If a post gets more of those than most, it's marked as 'popular', I guess.
  12. Whoa, that sounds amazing! I had deep fried banana and ice cream earlier.
  13. Not too bad. Went out for a bite to eat with a friend earlier. It was nice.
  14. Happens to me too sometimes. And I'm on an Apple MacBook Pro using Safari.
  15. Thank you. I appreciate that, my friend.
  16. Yeah, I do this too, a bit... But I've always been like that. No wonder I got bullied in school, lol!
  17. Morning, DiC! I stayed up too late last night trying to write. But at least I'm trying. It's Camp NaNoWriMo and I've pledged to write at least an hour every day of July. Not doing so well so far, but it's early days. Enjoy your Sunday, everyone! ❤️
  18. Well, I happen to like both beards and body hair. And I like the opposite too. And frankly, I think it's kind of crappy of you to essentially body shame people who are on this site and can read what you're saying in public, @droughtquake. Who cares what's in fashion? And saying people with body and facial hair are lazy is just ignorant. A lot of work goes into a well maintained beard. We should celebrate people's right to look however they want, and allow them to be happy with the bodies nature gave them. Having grown up female and feeling immense pressure to conform by shaving every part of my body, I've envied men who are able to live relatively unhindered by that kind of prejudice. Both men, women, and non-binary people deserve to be able to go through life without anyone telling them they need to change their bodies in order to be attractive.

Stanley has such a big heart with such a capacity for love. I'm so glad the five of them have become friends. My heart breaks for Markus.
