Try Oklahoma -- we have several cities w. Native American names that non-Oklahoman's find difficult.

As someone who has dealt w. depression and anxiety issues all of my life, I share that wish. Meditation (and medication) help, but there are still days where one's own mind is fighting against you.

@MichaelS36 & @Mikiesboy: Beautifully said, both of you, and a lesson that applies outside of D/s relationships as well.

So...you plan on waking up screaming every two hours?

Been a bit of a crazy day, both for me and SP, but I've fixed supper and we're sitting down to eat now.
-
Hot here, but it's staying in a normal range at the moment so I can't complain.
-
That's actually pretty common and happens most years.

Only if its a nice, deep aubergine.

Have fun!

Can I mark both crying and angry? The kids are going to need a lot of love, and a lot of therapy. 😢

It's a double standard many women face, especially women in power -- a tone that in a man would come across as powerful and assertive instead comes across as her being a b**** 🐶

We've had a mini-monsoon today - 2.42" and still raining; most of that in a very short time-span.

You get a pass on that one -- and, as @Thorn Wilde said, that's all the more reason for the rest of us to get one. A huge difference between not getting a vaccine because you're allergic, and not getting one because you think some shadow organization is using it to secretly implanting a chip in you.

Yeah -- for some authors it's possible to separate their works from their problematic beliefs, but his are baked into most of his stories which makes it nearly impossible.

Very Lovecraftian [but without the racism].

Thank you. My temp is down to just barely above normal - that point where it doesn't qualify as a fever but is still high enough to make you feel bleh.
-
They called this afternoon and my COVID-19 test came back negative. So...not covid, not the flu, and not bacterial -- just some unknown something that caused my temp to spike 1.5+F above normal.

You approached it with a desire to learn the reality of what a D/s relationship is, you did your 'homework', and treated it with sensitivity and as a VALID and meaningful relationship. That's appreciated. 💜

I've still not done the online grocery shopping w. curbside pickup, but that's mostly because SP has been picking up groceries on the nights he works his 2nd job at Walmart. By the way, don't put too much faith in their "testing employee's temperature before letting them work" -- the thermometer they're using has registered his temp as low as 91F at times. Told him if it had actually been that low he'd either be in a coma or dead.

Better today than yesterday, and better yesterday than Sunday so -- hopefully (knock on wood) I'm on the downhill side of whatever this is. Payne Co. Health couldn't get me in until the 18th so I went to Urgent Care who is also doing the "slow" test. I should have that result back in the next 3 to 5 days. They also did a test for flu and strep, both of which came back negative (I never suspected strep and neither did they really but they wanted to be thorough). He said it was possible it was the flu and I'm past the infectious phase. We'll know for sure when we get the Covid test back.

June is already hot enough -- our weather is about a month ahead of schedule, with higher heat than normal, and much less rain.

I'm sorry. My dad is starting down that route; he's 98. When my brother was talking to him the other day (he sits outside the window and talks to him on the phone) dad mentioned he'd "worked late last night but got all the wheat in". He hasn't been farming in decades. I've not seen him since just before the lock-down started. SP and I had intended to go up to see both him and mom, but then both of their facilities were closed. I'm worried he won't remember who I am by the time I'm able to see him again.

Last Tuesday I woke up w. an ear ache from sinus congestion and a slightly elevated temp; went into Urgent Care on Wed and -- based on my history of sinus infections and a lack of more serious symptoms -- got some antibiotics. Those haven't worked. My normal body temp is at the low end of normal (low to mid 97's; occasionally high 96's. Hit hit 99.8F yesterday. Shortness of breath is getting worse, lethargy has been present the last few days, and this morning the "digestive upset" portion of CoVID-19 symptoms kicked in. I'll need to call the Health Dept. tomorrow and set up an appointment but even if I get in then it could be Friday before I get a result. Because of my asthma I do have a blood-oxygen reader at home and it's till 97%, so that's good. Worried about SP -- either he's positive and asymptomatic, or negative and at risk. I've not been many places, and have always worn my mask. Wish us luck. I'll probably be doing some meditating this afternoon -- if I can get my mind into that state.

What came to mind originally was the play Pacific Overtures [I never can remember it's name correctly]. A play that has the most beautiful song w. horrible lyrics and implications -- "Pretty Lady"

I keep wanting to replace mine with an on-demand. It's right next to an outside wall so would be easy to change out and vent.
