    Chapter 13

There was so much humor in this chapter! Ollie and Helena are always good for a bit of comic relief, but I loved that Neil and Liam joined in. (And the brat, but no surprise there.) It was also a good demonstration of how far Neil has come in gaining self-confidence. No way would he have sat through breakfast in his undies even a few months earlier. I also loved Deon and Roscoe's awkward conversation about Kevin. Roscoe's coming out to his mum and Wu was awesome! That whole scene was like reading a great big hug. Thank you.
  3. I was hoping for a Bastille Day posting but it appears not to be forthcoming.

    Chapter 13

Everything's already said. Great chapter! Thanks for the midweek treat.
  5. I'm really into the Marvel Netflix series right now: Daredevil (2 seasons) and Jessica Jones. Can't wait for Luke Cage!
  6. I love this French AIDS-awareness ad, ca. 2006.

    Chapter 12

Well, that was dramatic! I was really worried that Stuart would make a scene (at least, a bigger scene), but Dave came to the rescue. I love that he only came to the party to do a job, and then he did it. Just in time, too! Of course, as he noted, Ross is now outed to a whole lot of people. He also knows that Helena accidentally outed Neil to the group of boys who had been bullying him. And I expect he's going to have to tell Wu and Lauren, or risk losing Wu as a friend. Kevin and Warwick are clearly at opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of what they want out of this relationship. Hopefully they'll figure things out eventually. I guess I'll just cross my fingers and have faith in the author. I am really enjoying this weekly posting thing. Thanks again!

    Chapter 12

Awww, that was a really sweet chapter. Yay, snow! Can't wait for the next one!

    Chapter 11

I have to say I have mixed feelings about this chapter. There was tons to love in it: Liam's casual "fuck you" gesture to the hecklers across the street (I managed to picture it in my head perfectly ); the intrigue of the mysterious "taller forward" as a potential Bulldogs' draft pick; Charlie and Dave; and, of course, the brat and his ongoing schemes to improve the lives of everyone around him. However, the scene with Kevin and Geraldine made me somewhat uncomfortable. Kevin thinks he's doing the right thing by helping to re-establish Geraldine's sense of self-worth, and trying to atone for his abuse of the stripper, but he's embarking on an experience he's not entirely comfortable with and with a person he's not even attracted to. Geraldine just sees him as a sex object; I also think there's a good possibility she'll discover his AFL status and not be able to keep it quiet. Warwick is clearly jealous. This is so not the right way to begin a relationship, especially one as fragile as theirs is; I really hope everything doesn't go horribly wrong. I'm also kind of worried about Todd's plans to intimate Stuart at the party. Thanks again for starting the weekly postings. I'm not sure I could have lasted 2 weeks with this much anxiety.
  10. Hmmm, that's the one book I skipped when I reread them. I might have to remedy that.

    Chapter 11

Sorry I haven't been reviewing regularly. I just wanted to stop by and say how much I am enjoying the story.
  12. I looked at the chapters (66-67) where Ella's parentage was revealed. Only JP, Claire and Brad were at the confrontation with Rich and Jim. Matt and Wade weren't even in Claremont. Only Darius was, from that generation. If Matt and Wade know, it must have happened some other time.
  13. I figured he probably didn't know. When did Matt and Wade find out, though? I can't remember. Btw, they all know about Ella's being Rich's bio daughter, right?
  14. Does it really take 3 hours to listen to one of Mark's chapters?

    Chapter 10

That was a very dramatic bit of sports politics! It took me a while to figure out what was actually going on with the proposed trade deals, but I got there eventually. This is in no way a criticism of your explanation; I'm just a bit slow when it comes to anything related to sports. I did think it was a bit unfair of the AFL Commission to penalize the junior Swans players by taking away their COLA money. Even though the club was abusing the allowance, penalizing the very players it was intended to help was a bit extreme. I still have my fingers crossed for Kevin and Warwick to work out, both in their relationship and geographically. Hopefully it doesn't cost them too much heartache to get there. Fingers also crossed for Julie and Charlie. Ha! At this rate, I might not be too efficient manually for the next few weeks. And, the brat, as always was incredible! At first I was a little worried that the Saturday night party was Steve's, but I realized his was after school. What's Muck-Up Day, btw?
  16. Happy birthday!

    Chapter 34

Another great chapter, Mark. Thanks, and I hope you're having a fun summer. I was kind of hoping Brad would end up with Sean. It's looking a lot less likely now. Then again, one never can tell with CAP. Poor JJ, still beating himself up about that blow job. Also, during the part about his vendetta against Ella, I started wondering if he realizes how closely he and Ella are related through the Cramptons. What is he, her half-uncle?
  19. Happy birthday! Any chance of getting The Caretaker finished?

    Chapter 9

Another fantastic chapter, Graeme! As always, the brat: Although my favorite moment was when Kev was being all "I can't sleep with you in case I hurt your feelings." and Warwick's saying, "Wait, I'm not going to miss out on sleeping with a hot (and awesome!) AFL guy just so I don't get my feelings hurt!" He wants to see more of Kevin, too! Nice little tidbit (with added drama) about the draft order in the extra notes. I'm hoping Ty manages to get overlooked until #7. Btw, we might need a dramatis personae for the various clubs and their recruiters. I'm having a hard time keeping them straight. No idea how Neil does it.
  22. For writing, I'm limited by creativity and time. I'm a good (if slow) technical writer. I'm also a pretty decent editor, but I'm picky about what I'll read and what I have time for.
  23. Aww, shucks, I do my best.
