csr feature December CSR Discussion Day: House of Storms by Geron Kees
Carlos Hazday commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
This was by far my favorite CSR featured story of 2018. That's saying a lot considering I was featured earlier in the year. I gobbled up the story, left a review, and hope I one day can do the same for another installment. The Storm brothers were fun and the story deserves a sequel. -
Where Do You Fall on the Grammar-Stickler Scale?

Idiots follow rules without ever questioning them. I refuse to be any more of an idiot than I already am. -
Where Do You Fall on the Grammar-Stickler Scale?
Carlos Hazday replied to Valkyrie's topic in The Lounge
Eight for me which is not a surprise. More than once I've skipped looking at stories on GA because of bad grammar in the description. If the author can't bother to ensure 5 likes are clean, what does that say for the rest of their story? However, I think I follow Cia's approach; I differentiate between dialogue and narration. I'm pretty sure I've used all the items in the quiz wrongly when writing dialogue. A reader once pointed out I often end sentences with a preposition. I showed him each instance he mentioned was in dialogue and that's how real people speak. As I've gained experience, there are a few rules I find silly and delight in flaunting. But I do try to do so consistently. It's MY style, not a mistake. -
@Toddten I've posted the date and a couple of sneak peeks in the CJ Discussion Thread. You should check it out and follow it. CJ and Owen return in 4 days.

@Will Hawkins Thank you for reading and reacting. I like it when my stories create a buzz and I can make readers think.

Pinstripe Bowl = College football game on 12/27 at Yankee Stadium featuring the University of Miami this year. Def met my friends in NYC who I usually stay with. They'll be in Tokyo visiting their son who's there teaching English so they offered me their apartment if I decided to go up for the game. I have 2 brothers. One lives in Brooklyn and the other one in Chicago. They'll both be in South Florida this week. EDIT - my friends' apartment happens to be in the same building CJ and Owen have theirs. LOL -

Kids, Christmas, and sugar... You want to borrow my flask? Almost went up for the Pinstripe Bowl but decided to stay home since both brothers and the nieces and nephews are coming down this weekend. It was tempting though, I would have had a certain UES apartment to myself, the residents are spending the Holidays in Tokyo. -
I love feisty character. Regardless of character gender, a good story's a good story. You gave us one.

Damn! Libertarian much? Your views on government programs, journalism, and liberal arts education comes through loud and clear. I do object to the thought there's no discrimination, even if it was dumb to think he was being picked on because of being Irish. I have no idea how far in the future this takes place, but I'm certain bigotry is alive and well. Part of human conditioning I don't see disappearing anytime soon. Fascinating political commentary, Boss.

Blinded by the Light
Carlos Hazday commented on Carlos Hazday's story chapter in Blinded by the Light
Thanks for reading! So, what time did you get to sleep? You only have about 130 more chapters to go. -
Ooops, I was sleeping when you posted this. I love it when a book enthralls me to the point sleep is an annoyance. I'm glad my little story did that for you.

What I got out of that presentation is I'm smarter than the average breeder... 'Nuff said.
