  1. Going to have to ruin your impression of readership and post so you know you have double the two readers that you thought . I loved the story like the others, and want to see more. Just please don't go out and on purposely looking for cops to arrest you Maybe find out what the mad flavour is, and let us know Steve
  2. Happy Birthday Rose Hope it is a great one
  3. Thanks Benji . That explains it. I guess I was surprised that the Harbourmaster would be sitting on the boat, which was also the reason to question the marina set up and such. If anything, I guess you did prove that you can teach an .... er, um, slightly approaching middle age....dog new tricks . I got you to spell harbour the correct way twice with the 'u' in it . Welcome to the rest of the world Benji (now only 256 million more to go ) Hopefully I did not make you feel like I was busting your balls CJ (do goats have balls ? ). I realize this is a story of fiction and I do not expect you to know if there was a fence around the marina or not. I guess I was a bit shocked to learn that the harbourmaster had legal reason to be on Atlantis and that made me mad . As far as the price on a train or tramway, I don't think anyone will roast you over that . Now if we want to roast you over the ending, that is an entirely different topic . Well put and I 100% agree Mike!!!
  4. Okay, my two cents worth is that it is your story, your title, and you have the right to decide what it is published as. Also, Nifty is a private site and can dictate by their own rules (which we have no say in) what you can call your story. In the case of them taking your story down, I would say you are very very very lucky that it ended that way. I do believe Nifty can refuse to pull your story down until they choose, or you supply them with an equally (in their opinion) worthwhile story. Riley, I would say cut your ties with Nifty and know you came out ahead. It takes a lot of wading through the trash in there to find the gems. I used to frequent Nifty a lot, but all the quality stories eventually led me to the respectable sites like GA. You are here, you won't be missed there. Enjoy life
  5. I get a feeling that there will be no certification of this chapter until after the next chapter is released, then the goat can claim that all issues have been resolved Okay, a couple of questions to start out with. First off would be regarding the harbour. Are most public Marina's like the ones that I saw, but private and public lets say in Long Beach, CA where there is a locked gate at the shore side and then all the docks with the boats moored to them? The reason why I asked, is wasn't it a little silly for the Harbourmaster to be waiting inside Atlantis when he could be just at the entrance to the gangplank and collect all the necessary fees there? This also brings up another question, wouldn't the Harbourmaster be trespassing by boarding Atlantis? Yes a fee was owed, but does that give him legal rights to board someone's tub . My next question has to do with the legality (I'm a legal beagle tonight ) of hiding a tracking device on a vehicle. I know police in the US are restricted by the constitution on what they can and cannot do without court orders. Things like search and seizure and telephone taps require a previous court order. Does hiding a tracking device on a private car need such precautions, or is it a free for all for the police? The last question is regarding Jim. He is booking a flight to Naples, which requires a credit card, and also using his passport, so wouldn't the police be tracking both of these since Dirk has been tracked going to Jim's place every week? Okay a few observations . I was really impressed with how Joel wore the shirt and waited to the appropriate time to spring the trap on Trevor. I think with Joel by his side, Trevor will come to terms with his sexuality quicker than if he was back home. I too think that Jim and Dirk are a couple now. I know I wasn't believing this earlier on, but Jim's threat of "
  6. CJ has released Chapter 18 of Circumnavigation, Discoveries . For some reason I think there may be some discussion if this qualifies for amphibious certification of being cliffhanger free . Will discuss more, later
  7. Wow Benji, those are some great points :2thumb: Especially the last one, I didn't pick up on that one when the chapter was released. Really, what else could Dirk be saying other than she is not there . The more I think of it, Bridget is the perfect villain. She has dead family members, and then Julie (?) shows up and says she knows a kid that is having trouble with his Dad and the possibility he is being involved with his wife's murder. What a perfect cover. I still believe Dirk is innocent of anything serious, like murder .
  8. Ohhhhhhh, a sex change and a make over, never thought of that . That does bring up another point; Officer Gonzalez showed up obviously thinking that he was there for a different reason, and he had to do a Constitutional Caution to Bridget before he would discuss anything. Now why would he do that unless she was a suspect in something. Like I don't know, the murder of her own husband . Could Bridget be using the whole Dirk excuse and case to deflect blame from herself. After all she would be looking a gift horse in the mouth if this case suddenly appeared in her lap without the police really knowing what going on. Maybe Bridget is the actual serial killer.
  9. Okay, call me crazy if you want , but did anyone find the exchange between Officer Gonzalez and Bridget unusual? It seemed like Officer Gonzalez wasn't going there to even discuss the murder of Rachel Carlson, but possibly the murder of her late husband Arnold Belvue. Bridget had seemed to have met Officer Gonzalez before this encounter, and it seemed like she had had a negative experience about it. Then she had to specify it was Dirk murdering Rachel, and that he may actually be a serial killer. This is with her knowing and disclosing that she knows Trevor is alive and well. After reading this over a couple of times as it didn't sit right with me, I seemed to be even more confused. Did anyone else read this passage the same, or did you all just assume that it was Rachel that she was talking about? Seems like the goat is up to more misdirection and mischief .
  10. Oh my Oh my Oh my What did Lisa just do??? Is she forgetting that Dirk now has access to Trevor's cell phone records and probably get a copy of the text message I think things are going to heat up in everybody's world.
  11. I learned that kids can be hard on you starting in Grade 1. Who knew that you shouldn't put your tongue on the teatherball poll in minus 20 degree weather at recess
  12. I must say I'm shocked at some comments about people being promiscuous having something wrong or missing in there lives :0 . To follow that up by saying they are not being judgmental is another wow. No, living a promiscuous life is not my cup of tea, and when I did have one or two one night stands, I was so nervous and scared I didn't enjoy it at all. I was too worried about the guy I was with than enjoying what we were doing. I do have a few friends though that have no problems hooking up with someone different every weekend or weekday if they so choose. I don't think they have any 'issues' or 'problems' that drive them to have a promiscuous lifestyle. I think the chose it because they enjoy it. They are safe, they are educated, they are happy. Who am I to open a psychology textbook and tell them they are compensating for this or that??? Warrior obviously has thought this through well and has accepted the feelings that this would not be his lifestyle. I commend for that. It is nobody's business to tell him what to feel or how to feel. Concerning Cody in DnCW, yes, he has issues that the author has laid out to us. So in his case he has a promiscuous lifestyle due to rejection and self esteem issues. I guess I'm not willing to make the leap that because Cody is like that that all people who like to sleep around have the same issues. Go ahead, I'm ready to be chewed up and spit out .
  13. I am in constant awe of how much effort and dedication is put into the anthologies by not only Graeme and his team but also all the writers and their teams as well. I have just finished reading my fourth one and must compliment everyone for another job well done. Take a bow . Steve
  14. Well I never knew I think I will have to lobby our government for another national holiday now
  15. Circumnavigation - Ignorance is Bliss is up . Now that being said, how cruel all of you are in the fact that I have been posting in ignorance for chapters 10, 14, and 15 and have said nothing at all . Here I have been spelling each forum title circumnvigation instead of circumnavigation . Oh well, I love you all anyways . BTW, Hi CJ
  16. Happy Birthday Mattie To the man who taught me to believe, have a great birthday Mattie and may the next year be the best
  17. In case you were wondering how we won, we had some help on our side: our father who art in gm place, hockey be thy name. thy will be done, gold to be won on ice as well as in the stands. give us this day, our hockey sticks and forgive us our penalties as we forgive those who crosscheck against us. lead us not into elimination but deliver us to victory. in the name of the fans, canada, and the holy puck amen
  18. Here's hoping for a speedier recovery and we see you back here soon. We miss you
  19. If your not referring to Myk, who else is in Calgary??? Well happy Birthday I just want to say that yes, indeed the hockey game was the highlight of the Olympics. I want to really thank the US for giving us such a very entertaining game. Not only was the US seeded sixth in the Olympics for hockey, but since they beat out our Juniors at the World Juniors in Saskatoon in January, a lot was riding on this game for national pride here in Canada. It was a script written in heaven. For the US to score with the 24 seconds and tie it up made a nation gasp in disbelief (over 25.6 million Canadians watched the game, or over 80% of the population). Then to have Sydney Crosby score in overtime restored a faith that could have been eliminate quite easily. I don't think the US has anything to be ashamed of, they played to the final goal and gave us a run for our money that I don't think any other nation could have done this year. I was part of the 88 Olympics in Calgary and I have to bow to Vancouver and all the workers and volunteers who helped put on an amazing show. The fact that Canada finally broke the no gold for a host country jinx, made it even better. So yes Mattie, I do believe . The fact that we won more golds than any host country at the winter Olympics made it even sweeter. Steve
  20. Thought it was kind of interesting that a rogue wave hit a cruise liner in the Med yesterday. I imagine a boat the size of Atlantis would not fair so well if one hit it. Make sure you check out the video of the wave as well. Wave
  21. Belated Happy Birthday Jack Hope your day was great and hoping for many more over the next year
  22. Chapter 15 of Circumnavigation is up and is titled Cruising The Med It seems that CJ has decided to write a little bit of porn into his storyline in this chapter . Joel's thoughts were exactly the same as mine while reading part of the chapter . I am disappointed that they seemed to have passed right by the 3 Spanish Islands that are so popular for partying . I guess they are on a timeline though to get to Italy. Will comment more in a bit. Steve
  23. Belated Happy Birthday Billy
  24. Happy Birthday Captain Rick Hope you and the bf are having a great day together
  25. I do remember it and also liked it . It was pretty dark themed if I recall, and unfortunately I think I only saw maybe two or three shows. Thanks for bringing it up!!!
