Reading this chapter and having verification that The Scar is still alive got me thinking . Looking at what we have so far, maybe it is time to put some guesses out there and see if any of them come true. Based on the fact that The Scar is alive and he is an international arms dealer might be the biggest couple of clues. I wonder if The Scar has had any personal dealing with Iran over the years. It wouldn't be too far fetched. Next, he knows the General was the point man in discovering and disarming his bombs. How hard would it be in The Scar's rehab time to do a bit of research into the General's family. Could he have gone so far as to enlist powers in Iran to abduct his son? The Scar I could imagine sway the Iranian government with the possibility of getting his know how on nuclear arms in exchange for exacting revenge on the General. Their is also an ace card up his sleeve if he has been able to find out somehow that Brian is gay too. This could definitely be disastrous. After the Iranian's got Brian, he would then make himself available for hire to the General by having Yuri available right when the General is looking for help. Lastly, since the General has been associated with the guys from Instinct, The Scar may be hoping to exact his revenge on them as well. I'm sure he will be tickled pink (and the revival of Jerry ) if he learns of how the General made it to the island, and may even learn of the rest of the band's planned arrival for a wedding in the near future. Things may be looking very dark for all of the heroes from LTMP in my opinion. Now all we have to do is wait and see if CJ is evil enough to write the General and Instinct into this corner. CJ, I agree with most of what everyone said above. Hopefully you didn't misunderstand my comment of Jon, Brandon, and Chase being background characters in this new story. The way I see it is you're the author, and you have a planned direction you are taking the story. I can not imagine you having any sanity left if you tried to reach that goal while at the same time try to please every reader. After all, it is your story. Now as far as feedback, I'll give one possible reason that maaaaaaaaybe contributing to a bit fewer posting in the forum. I have already called my psychologist for an immediate appointment for after I actually post this . So far in CLiFF there hasn't been any extreme cliffhangers that have made you famous and they may be missed by some of us. I think most of the posting occurs after you give us one of your trademark doosies. That being said, I know you don't write for just the reason of having a number of posts in your forum. CJ, I imagine you and I could have a really long chat about the FLDS Church. I live not too far from Bountiiful, the Canadian equivalent of Colorado City. I also live not far from the Mormon temple in my province. In my city, approx. 20% of the people are mainstream LDS. I too have met a few ex-mormon guys who left due to being gay (heck I dated one ). I guess I was surprised in the store owner as I know that usually there is lines between what business a church member can be involved in and the teachings of the church. I know of one coworker, who's daughter ended up marrying a gentleman who then bought a bar in town. Needless to say that the daughter is no longer part of the church. Not far from my house is a large chain hotel that is owned by a Mormon family, and they do not own or operate the restaurant/bar in the hotel due to their beliefs. But that is where the lines are blurred. They own a chain hotel that requires them to have a restaurant/bar. Since they do not believe in making money off the sales of liqour, they choose to give that business to someone else but they are still collecting the rent of the place so indirectly they are profiting from the sale of liquor. General 'feelings' of mine is that the mainstream church is it is actually quite honourable in their focus on the family unit, and one thing I have personally experienced is that they will not try to preach their religion or beliefs to you unless you ask. This is a major difference between JW's and other mainstream Christian Churches. People that have left the church are generally not shunned by their family but do have restrictions on them such as not being able to attend Temple weddings for siblings, but still attend the receptions. I agree with you on a lot of your points. I feel it is very important to not judge the mainstream church by comparing them to the FLDS Church though. What happens there is plainly illegal, and they're not even recognized by the main church. I feel to paint all mormons by the same brush as the fundamental ones is equivalent of judging all Christians by the actions of the Westview Baptist Church. Anyways, I've babbled enough

Thanks for the unexpected chapter CJ Good to have you back. I was a little surprised with a Mormon woman working in a liquor store, especially since she was 'devote'. As far as there not being any tequila that Instinct bought, I believe Jim said some of the boys would be bringing their own. It was nice to see a bit of interaction with Jon, Brandon and Chase. I know that this is mainly Eric's story, but it seems like the guys are almost as much in the background as Barbara or the brother's parents. Hopefully they will be around a bit more in the future. Hey CJ, is there any chance of you finding a couple of male strippers that fit the image of Jansen and Keith and pay them to do a routine that you choreographed and post it on Youtube??? Hey, I liked you before, and I still like you . I've come to accept that people live in different areas of the country because they have different interests. It is always good to visit different cities and yes, I can say some things about other cities that I don't like but always realize that obviously there is something there that keeps them there. Also, to clarify for our out of country friends , Toronto at 5 million people is the largest city in Canada. All 3 major network newscasts are all from Toronto and unfortunately a lot of the news is about Toronto. This is probably the biggest beef for people outside of Toronto, as we figure they don't know there is a country outside of the 416 area code (and yes I'm dating myself with that reference). I imagine Freud could have found a relationship between penis envy and Toronto envy .

Oh Duncan, you've got me going now!!! So you wonder why the rest of Canada hates Toronto so much? I'm curious if other members saw what was in your post that most of the rest of Canada sees in the comments of people from Toronto, or those that are from there and want to return to there. Now if you think I pulled just quotes of your negative comments, go back and with maybe the exception of Montreal, find a positive quote about anywhere else in Canada without a jab in the same sentence. The way I've always felt is that people who love Toronto, or even love it so much they live there, they are so busy insulting everybody else that they fail to see why everybody else doesn't care for them. Unfortunately it is my experience that this is an inherent trait of Torontonians, "We're better than you so there" You do have one point, probably the biggest haters of Toronto are people who have left Toronto and seen the city for what it is. In the end though, I'm not upset with your posts, I just write it off as being from someone that has lived in Toronto . Steve

Hmmmm, some stats: Shadowgod posted 16 times in the original 517 posts of this thread, or 3.1% of the time. Shadowgod has posted 0, nill, nada, nothing in the 186 current posts of this thread. (That's 0%, just in case ) I am willing to blame CJ, that goes without saying , but I'm more curious on what CJ has learned, acquired, bought, or gotten by illegal means on Shadowgod that is preventing him from posting in this forum !!!
