Another Great Chapter Cliff I do believe that there is other pilots on the plane other than the General, so I imagine Felicia is counting on having one of them take over the controls now that they are airborne. I don't know if I can use the word irony here, but it might work. Felicia I imagine knows about the cook and just like she hid something in the cargo that the General did not know about, General Bradson has some cargo hidden on the plane that will ensure his safe landing and escape from the mercinaries. The ironic thing is that Felicia gave him the final piece of his insurance policy and she doesn't know it yet . Nothing like the irony of the situation to once again foil the Scar's plan, who next to CJ seems to thrive on it.

Not knowing the first thing about gaming, I am curious about XBox Live's policy and if there was a name such as "Straightshooter", would this be allowed? All in all, it seems like what they are saying is if you have a name that might cause you harassment, then we're going to ban it cause we don't really want to deal with the harassment. Pretty sad.

Hey Cliff, great chapter and sorry for not commenting sooner, sometimes life gets in the way of enjoyment . A couple of things mentioned in above that caught my attention. The comment about the numbers of posts in your forums dropping off made me think that may be the result of the great team you have assembled to help make this even a better story. If we look at FTL and LTMP, a lot of the posts were from Graeme, Shadowgod, Emoe and Bondwriter and Captain Rick. In CLiFF, all of these people are part of your team, and may be more reluctant to post in case of accidental giving away spoilers. I must also pause this thought to bring up it may have been your evil plan to recruit all of them so they would post less and thus tease you less as well . I find it interesting that some of us are totally interested in the developments between Eric and Jansen and Keith, while others are interested in the developments going on in Iran. I must applaud you for maintaining two separate but inter related stories going that I'm sure is keeping all of us interested. I want to comment on the surprise package that Mike brought up. I got to thinking about the loading of the aircraft. Flight One, is no longer around and we are still left with the cliffhanger from that chapter on what happened to all those lemons , leaving this to be much of a larger cliffhanger involving lemons than we have ever seen before at GA . Flight Two, I imagine is in Oman to await for Flight Three with fuel to carry on the rest of the voyage, to where? I believe The Scar is in the Sudan awaiting his precious cargo. As far as a quick take off in case of the one bomb going off in the bunker, remember Flight Three have the four JATO packs, which will help with a quick takeoff under high payload, which they now are especially with the truck with the bombs on it as cargo. The secret package? I remembered this: The next thing I pulled out was this: I was thinking that this may have been the four Geiger counters that Felicia gave to Wilhelm and Horst, but there was also the note from the General that said he knew the mission was a cover but if she eliminated them they were all toast trying to take off. Both the Marines have the solution to this in their pockets, and Felicia still doesn't know the solution. I guess we don't really know what the secret package is, but I'll wager with Mike on it being the rigged bomb back in the bunker. Thanks again for the chapter CJ Steve

Great chapter CJ, but I'm a little p.o'd at you If we look at the clues in this chapter and in other forums belonging to CJ, this is what I can figure out. CJ will be around the Canary Islands in a little while and is planning on taking pictures and climbing Cumbre Vieja. Now how is he getting to the islands where he may be able to take pictures of the island from a distance. Here is my guess. Our dear goat will somehow get himself on the ship that Helen has arranged to rescue them from the island. This means while we wait anxiously for a chapter, CJ will be partying it up, maybe even taking in a strip show or two with Eric, Jansen, Keith, Jon, Chase, Brandon, Helen, Barbara, Jane, Jim, Linda and god knows who else. Somehow you have written yourself into the story . I guess I'm not really po'd, maybe more jealous . After all, this is a non fiction story.....right?

Hmm, I like all three. I guess one altenative would be to buy one box of Smarties, the candy not the person , and then pick up the deeply discounted valetines cards, maybe even on of the books the little kids get with about 50 cut outs in it. Then give each kid in the class one, and make sure to miss on the battleaxe. I guess whatever you do, just keep in mind your daughter in the forefront of your mind. Actually that is a great point BW . I wonder if Queen ever had a decline in their album (yep, CD's were just coming out back then ) when it came out about some of their sexual preferences. Although I wouldn't call them a metal band. I now wonder if when CJ mentioned that he envisions Instinct as a Rock Band, not a boy band, not a metal band, if Queen maybe has some merit on the influence . I know I'm probably going to hear from the goat as he doesn't really want to stereotype the band from whatever image we have of them. I see that you can watch the entire movie at Lifetime's website. Unfortunately it is only viewable in the US . Looks like someone got it up on Youtube for a day until Lifetime had it pulled. It looks like us foreigners are not going to be able to watch until who knows when .

Great chapter Cj, and thanks It seems like already their is two sides of whose fault it is between Eric and Jansen. I'm leaning a little bit more towards Jansen than Eric. Correct me if I'm wrong, but was anyones' first experience (note the word experience) from the result of a long term dating relationship? Or was it out of lust and the thrill of trying? I don't mean sex, but anything that could be considered sexually stimulating. Jansen obviously was hurt by the former bf/gymnast and Keith did warn him about falling for Eric, but Jansen is so taken by Eric I don't think he'd settle for less than a full relationship. Keith I'm sure realized that there was no hope in hell of convincing Jansen of deterring from his plan to seduce and keep Eric, so he let him go fail even though he knows he will be picking up the pieces. Eric, who has had women at his disposal and probably needed to utter more than one or two words to get into bed with them is suddenly challenged with having to communicate with his bed mate and I'm sure like anyone else, severely misread what he had to say. The whole scorpion and frog thing makes me think that the General was letting his son know that you never trust anyone, even ones that you would figure you can trust the most. I'm gong to give a little different view here. Private Johnson was yelling Farsi when the General's attack team entered the cells. Private Johnson has not suffered any torture as of yet. Could Private Johnson actually be the Scorpion? He may actually be working for the Iranians. It is now obvious what Felicia's teams are seeking. With Geiger counters and going into secured underground bunkers it seems that The Scar is now nearly back in the nuclear bomb making business . I wonder what the General has up his sleeve to "blow her out of the sky" that Felicia knows that he can do? Anyways, just my first initial opinion . Maybe we can write a small picture story book with everything that is happened in this discussion. Once upon a time, there was a mean evil goat who tried to fit a poor harmless echinda into a can. When the echinda finally tired of the evil goats attempt to can him, he turned his spines onto the goat. The goat, who feared the spines more than a cameo in a Shadowgod story, lept away from the echinda. Unfortunately the goat did not realize that he was soon to come face to face with a certain frog who decided to take up arms as the goat tried to convince others that he was a much better delicacy then himself. Well, since were posting pics of snow in the mountains . Here is a couple of webcams that show the Roger's Pass, one of the highest points of the Transcanada Highway and another of the Kooteney Pass a little further south in the rockies. Most winters the snowbanks on the side of the road can be double the height of a semi trailer. Still, I have never seen snow like I did one spring when trying to drive from Sacramento, CA to Reno NV on the I80 over Donner Pass in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. It was like driving in a tunnel for 60 miles with 40 ft high snowbanks on each side of the road and chains were mandatory as well as a 35 mph speed limit. Now that was snow .
