I guess just be thankful that I don't write, or you could have a forum just dedicated to my screw ups And in case you didn't know, insert Brandon for Chase in that sentence. I was thinking about that too. Obviously J/S needed to get the scooter into Australia with as little attention as possible. I imagine he could have easily had bought one there though. Since I don't know anything about Kryton switches I wouldn't know if they would be sensitive to x-rays, as the scooter was the only inanimate thing to not go through the scanner at the airport. But I wonder if the average security guard watching a baggage scanner would notice the switches for what they were. After all Brandon even thought they were possibly part of the circuitry until he noticed they were not connected. Also, didn't J/S mention that was how he got the previous switches into the country? Jan, I think Mike is just judging CJ by the same standards that CJ judges others . After all, according to CJ's reasoning the Little Miss Muffet nursery rhyme ended in a cliffhanger ! Great chapter CJ, I laughed a lot reading it. It was a good humourous chapter that reminded me of some of the earlier ones like when Chase was guessing which of the brothers were gay. From the practical jokes to the stuffed kangaroo, it was a good read. One question about Jerry/The Scar (referred to from now on a J/S)? J/S's interaction with Dimitri about his true identity kinda interested me. We know his son is Joe Lump, so logically his real name is Jerry Lump. But quiet often Jerry uses the endearment 'dear' when talking in his Jerry personae. Things like 'dear lady' or 'dear boy'. When I usually hear that, I'm inclined to think of the British? Is J/S actually British and not from Idaho? I think this may have been a clue into the future as well. Thanks again CJ . Steve Edit: Original nursery rhyme kinda did end in cliffhanger

Well let's just face the facts CJ....The numbers are against you!!! Let's just hypothetically say that 1 out of every 2 chapters that you post in your serials ends in a cliffhanger. Sometimes it is 2 out of 2, sometimes it is 1 out of 3, so we'll just average out with 1 out of 2. This means between FTL and LTMP, you have a combined total of 60 chapters. Thus meaning you have on average left your readers hanging 30 times. Now even the most gullible of souls would never say that Shadowgod would use cliffhangers at the rate of 50%. But for the sake of argument, let's say that in some strange universe (that you may actually be part of) that he did (sorry Steve, just making a point here ). He has a combined total of 34 chapters between SoB, LiS, and DCW of 34 chapters. Using the same rate, it meant he has left us hypothetically hanging 17 times. This means you leave your readers hanging nearly twice as much as Shadowgod . The numbers don't lie. Steve

Well since no other Libras have answered.........

One of the first 'gay themed' movies I saw was Torch Song Trilogy. If I were to give it a one sentence review it would be : A story about a New York Drag Queen who wants more in life than one night stands and finds love a few times, loses it, but ends up happy and fulfilled in the end. Since it was the first one I saw, I guess it left a lasting impression. It was made back in the late eighties, based on a Broadway play. The movie isn't as 'crisp' as todays movies, but I think it was well done. It also is a bit of an emotional rollarcoaster, but all life's journey's are in one way or another. Right? Steve

I loved that movie!!!! And I played the video game every chance in the arcade after that. Since it came out back when I think Beta and VHS were still fighting on the newly arrived VCR technology field, maybe you should give your view of the movie to the younger generation . I think we are dating ourselves here. Steve

Graeme, this usage of 'they' and 'their' kinda reminds me of people who say " Well I have this friend who has a rash', when they are actually talking about themselves . Maybe we have uncovered one of the members of the Evil Doers and World Domination Society and in fact be a charter member. Since CJ mentioned you have been giving him some advice, maybe it is you that is the technical genius on nuclear bombs . I think you may have just exposed yourself. Steve

I guess we differ on that aspect . The reason behind my belief is that Gabe was an employee of the Scar. It was Jerry that gave Helen the information to actually convict Gabe. As far as him being involved with Instinct, I believe his only motivation was the money. If he was behind the skimming of money from the band, he would need someone inside on the day to day operation to do that. By giving up Gabe, he totally threw everybody off the idea that he could be involved....including me. Yikes!!! I just remembered that Helen was talking to the hired staff about the skimming, some of them went to Lump to question about it. Can't exactly recall what his reply, but something along the lines of let it drop. This could mean that if my theory is correct about Jerry taking the money, that Lump may have had some idea about it two. The second thing was how The Scar, acting as Jerry, came to the band and put an emotional plea to them about being the poor misunderstood homosexual dad, who's son had turned his back on him. He got Helen and the boys to buy into it, and then used them for the supposedly charity event. Jerry mentioned that he raised over $100,000 for the children's charity (coincidence that he is donating a powered chair to a child in Australia???), but was the charity ever mentioned by name? I would think that CJ would have included it's name if it was legitimate, like Shriner's Sick Children's Hospital, or Mayo Clinic Children's Hospital. I still believe that the two have always been connected in the form of money. Jerry/The Scar needed it, and the biggest Rock band would hardly need it all. Well, I've said my peace , so I will not push this theory too much more. Steve And if any of this is considered spoilers , I remind you that I'm only quoting already posted text. The fear of your spines have me wondering if I'm correct, I may have to find a pair of tweezers .

Should CJ Be Mounted Ontop My Fireplace?

Oh then it must be like sticking your tongue on a metal pole outside in the middle of winter. Been there, done it Steve -
So I know CJ wouldn't comment on the following, so hopefully you all have some thoughts and ideas. First off, I'm wondering who the person will be to have the accident in the US. Really until the present chapter, I don't think Jerry/The Scar has anything against the bands. After all they have been a major source of income for his activities. But he wanted to tie up some loose ends in America and offering four times the rate. There is three possibilities in my mind. First. since Lump is his son, I wonder if he knows anything about dear old dad's activities or was he put in the band by dad so he could skim the money from them. If he does know anything, he would definitely be a liability. Even if he doesn't, I can't help to feel that Dad is ashamed of his son for the drugs and booze and that he wants him out of the picture. Finally he is famous, as the former lead singer of Instinct. Second is Gabe. He is probably somewhat famous now with the pictures in the tabloids and mention of his arrest in Rolling Stone. Since it appears that he was doing it for Jerry/The Scar, wouldn't he have the info to expose Jerry/The Scar, as much as Jerry did to help Helen get the information to get him arrested? I imagine it would be a liability that he probably wants to get rid of. Third is Helen. She is famous in the sense that she is the manager of the hottest rock band around. She also was able to figure out Gabe, and knows that it was Jerry who had the information. Helen may come across as abrupt, but she is also very sharp at what she does, and I imagine if she really sat down and thought about the Gabe/Jerry connection, she would figure it out herself. Lastly, I'm surprised that nobody brought up the cliffhanger in this chapter. I would guess that Dimitri is racing across the country, armed, to the resort to help The Scar take care of some nuisances right now. My guess is the four boys and Helen lives are in grave danger at the moment. Which also make me wonder if Gunter is about to earn his money as he takes on an International Arms Dealer with nuclear ambitions and a former KGB operative who seems to have no qualms in ending human life. So what do you all think? Steve

I really like the bio idea. Since the only pictures we have of you are in your sunglasses, I would imagine that you would not want to be too involved in certain aspects. Things like if I had a GPS, where I would be able to find you after you post your next cliffhanger . Probably something about what may have influenced you to write, the topic of your stories, your interests in life. That kind of stuff. I would also like to know more about Ed, but I'm not sure if you'd be willing to tell us about him. Honestly, anything that gives us some more insight behind the sunglasses would be great. Thanks for asking for our suggestions too. Steve

And I'm sure you are referring to activities like whistling , licking an ice cream cone, sticking your tongue out at people , and blowing a raspberry . Right???? -
Wow, what a great chapter CJ !!! I loved the way that you have developed the two stories, and now we finally have a link between the two by way of Jerry being The Scar. I also want to go off my usual stance of teasing and bugging you for a moment or two. CJ, you have always stated that there is clues in your stories that will give us insight if we recognize them, and being a goat of his word, you have definitely done that. What is surprising is that you actually started giving us clues I believe in Chapter 2. I went back and re read the first 11 chapters, after reading chapter 21, and sure enough, you had it spelled right out for anyone looking to see. Here is what clues I found, and what I interpreted them as being: Joe is the son of Jerry, who coincidently was a business partner of the Carlisle brother's father. He had other businesses as well that did not include their father (Ch.2) The Scar's favourite motto is "Fortune favors the bold" (Ch. 3) Jerry helped Helen nab Gabe. He has the information that eventually allows Gabe to be charged with fraud. (Ch 8) My interpretation is that Jerry is actually the one skimming off the money from the band, which he had access to through Joe. Gabe was just the fall guy for The Scar. Jerry tells the boys he is a homosexual (Ch.8) But really, have we ever heard of Jerry hooking up with another guy, or other than the one reference, we have nothing to go on about him being gay. My guess is that it was his way to keep connected to the band and throw everyone off. So he could continue to use them. Jerry coincidental tells Brandon and Chase "Fortune favors the bold" as they are leaving the fund raiser (Ch. 11) This was the first concrete evidence that the two were the same. Jerry mentions that he raises over $100,000 for a children's charity at the fund raiser (Ch. 11) I believe this and the skimming is how he has been funding his activities as The Scar. What stood out here is that CJ will usually name something like that, like he used Rolling Stone magazine, but we never did hear the name of the charity. There were other clues further on in the story, but I don't want to list them all. To tell the truth, the first thing that triggered my spidey senses was when I heard that Jerry was from Idaho. I know it is stereotyping (sorry Kevin ), but I live close to Idaho and they do seem to have a disproportional amount of people involve in right wing organizations, white supremacists, and guns, guns, guns. Hopefully I have not offended anyone from Idaho. So for all these clues and more, I must bow to you CJ . You gave us the important clues for us to determine that Jerry was indeed The Scar. I have some other ideas, but I think I will put them in another post. Thanks for the great chapter CJ Steve

Should CJ Be Mounted Ontop My Fireplace?

I know on a few occasions, CJ's er...um..aroma has come into question in the past. So, really would it matter? Steve -
Happy Birthday Eric ! Here's hoping that the day, and the upcoming year are better than the previous one. As far as the birthday hunk, I'm having trouble getting him wrapped, he keeps moving certain parts and ripping the paper. Any ideas on where I should put the stamps Steve

Well as far as the famous person goes, are we over looking someone completely? Really, what does any of the members of Instinct, The Shadows, their entourages, or Jerry really have anything to do with the other story so far. CJ did tell us the two stories would intersect, but has anything happened yet that would indicate the two stories are connected? Maybe it is something in the future, possibly happening in Australia that would make the two stories intertwine. I'm beginning to wonder if CJ put the "famous" and "four times the normal amount" to throw us off the true path. We are all absorbed with the Instinct story, it may have nothing at all to do with the two stories at all. The only other possible famous person was Charity's Dad who I believe was a Senator. That would make him famous, and make his assassination worth four times the normal amount. Maybe he is on some committee that has something to do with the unrest in Paraguay. Maybe he is the obstacle keeping The Scar from having his own country. Two days to go till hopefully some of these questions are answered. Steve

Sacha, Are you still pounding make enormous amounts of rum and eggnog?

OOPS!!! That was one theory that I never thought of !! Since usually CJ uses the "multiple choice" option to his advantage, I automatically did not enable it. Since it appears only two people have voted, I have now enabled multiple voting. Sorry about the oops to the other person who voted. Steve

Sorry BK if I offended !!! Unfortunately I'll have to agree with Emoe about getting this far into the forums. If we did not want any spoilers in the forums, we would have to black out just about every single comment in the Chapter comments for every story. By reading the chapter comments in lets say Chapter 6 (The Kiss) of LTMP we can easily assume that chapter contains a summarization within the first 5 posts!! I remember when I first start participating here, it was reading LiS by Shadowgod, and through the forum, so called spoilers were being talked about in FTL, which ended up piquing my interest and so I went over and started reading FTL. (Actually I think it was reading some guy named Blackheart that got me addicted to Shadowgod) Lastly, don't you think by blacking out the text in the forum, won't people pay more attention to the post than if it isn't blacked out? But I will try to be more attentive to your request in the future . I too have a fear of somehow when I least expect it, to become a walking pincushion due to Graeme . Steve

So, I'm curious who everyone thinks is going to be taken care of by Mario for four times the usual price? Steve

Now imagine if Eric had been still drinking tequila when he was with Charity. Maybe they would have never had to get to the point of trying to get Brandon to cheat . I'm sure Charity would have been more plotting some revenge on Eric. Time for another shot to Eric....Cheers

I was reading through the posts and realized I haven't commented on this chapter . First off, Eric, what a guy . He just keeps giving and giving. Who else but Eric would be willing to get Steve drunk so Wilde can have a chat with him. On top of that, he reluctantly agreed to take on not one, not two, but three girls so Wilde could have his chat . I'm still hoping that CJ will disclose their conversation behind closed doors. Second, I honestly can say, that the descriptions of Rome made me actually want to visit it. Since CJ has been there a few times, I wonder how much change in the Trevi fountain is his own? This passage kinda has me wondering a lot:
-
I hate to correct the author here, but..... Actually good comes out of Eric drinking tequila as well. Remember him and Chase were drinking Tequila when Chase came out to him and then Eric just blurted it out to Jon. Imagine where they would be today if the brotherly bond wasn't formed with tequila. Eric also was able to help Jon to get Chase and Brandon together for the first time to kiss, due to tequila. Also, Eric was able to get rid of an annoying paparazzi with the assistance of tequila. So, like Eric in FTL, I think he is kinda my hero. And I think I'll toast Eric with a shot of tequila . Steve (coming out of the closet and declaring himself a member of SPICE)

Did I miss something here , what exactly does the "R" stand for?
