A little update: I saw on the news tonight, that the gentleman appeared on Oprah today, and video was shown of him having an ultrasound done showing a healthy baby girl growing inside him. Unfortunately it seems that the hate campaign is starting to get involved, including his own family. Furthermore it was explained that he has continued producing eggs from his ovaries since his reassignment surgery. When faced with his wife being unable to produce eggs herself, they decided to have artificial insemination done from a donor. Also, do to his reassignment surgery, he is recognized by the law as being a man.

Hmmm, point 4 has been tampered with to wrongfully cast Joe in the wrong light. Thus, may I suggest the forming of MOJO (Members Opposed to Joe's Opprobrium) Steve p.s. Hey, it was the best I could come up with for a catchy acronym and a thesauruses

War, what war?? I read CJ's forum rules and they all look like they are in perfect order except maybe number one . How is Joe being dragged into this, CJ has mearly posted how he wants his forum run. Every author (or goat) should be able to create their own set of rules. Kudos CJ

Once again you prove why you have an author tag by your name and I don't . But yeah, that's what I was trying to say I guess I should have used the term using the band rather than taking advantage of them. Essentially Joe is now a nobody, and probably was a nobody before being in the band. By using his past time with the band to make a buck could be looked upon negatively.

I would imagine that the Scar wouldn't have taken out the cell packages under the name Jerry Clump or The Scar, so I would guess that the officials would have to go through like 50,000,000 cell phones numbers to get down to the ones he has in the bombs. What would scare me more is if someone actually called a number mistakenly. Let's say you were calling Jenny at 867-5309 (For those of you old enough to remember ), and mistakenly dialed 767-5309, you may have inadvertently blown up Los Angeles. Now as far as J/S being ineligible for father of the year, I think it is painfully obvious that he was nothing more than a sperm donor for the majority of Joe's life. Great chapter CJ . So we finally know how Joe developed his hate for gay people. To tell the truth, I'm not surprised that J/S was the one behind it. I know people may think that Joe will take advantage of the band to make a buck or two, but I'm kind of feeling a bit sorry for the guy. It is now obvious that he is just another casualty of J/S. I do hope that it is Helen that finds Joe around the stadium. I think she is the only one that would probably hold the guys to their promise to help him if they ever saw or heard from him again. Hopefully the light bulb over Eric's head lights up when he realizes that Joe may be the one to give him the ammo needed to take care of J/S. It may turn out they both share something in common, they both hate J/S. As far as the roasted goat, I got it . Now any chance of you posting a chapter twice a week? Although it would be a first in a sense, what are the chances of survival if it is indeed true. I would imagine the baby would have to be delivered by cesarean section, which brings up the other question. Not being a biology major :wacko: , how would they get a fertilized egg into the uterus? Furthermore, if the uterus was functioning properly and could sustain life, what would happen during menstrual cycles? Ok, gross, I know, but supposedly he/she only kept the uterus and ovaries and replaced the other 'equipment' with male genitalia. I'm soooo confused . The more I think of it, the more I think it is indeed a hoax.

Actually from the prologue: There is in fact 3 bombs. I believe that there has been other indications that J/S plans on detonating one in Australia (How's the bomb shelter coming along Graeme ?). He will only do this when the two that are safely secured where he wants them. If it is the US or elsewhere, CJ hasn't really said. If he can move around speakers easily, maybe they will be re routed elsewhere, but I have a feeling it would be the US. If I was a gambling man, I would say that once the bombs are in the US, he would detonate the one still in Australia, appear on TV ,somewhat like Dr.Evil in Austin Powers and demand ONE MILLION DOLLARS , or maybe a buck or two more with the fact that he has proven he has one device, and there are more (remember the decoys?), and they are planted in the US. By holding the US ransom for the location of the bombs, he will have a sizable income to bribe the Peruvian Generals into a coup d etat, with him as the new leader. He also may take the political and military unrest of the area to seize Argentina and Brazil . The last point I have is that a few have mentioned that J/S may need to get rid of the guys if the bombs are discovered by customs or whomever. Unfortunately, the bombs have been rigged that if the cases are opened, they will explode. I imagine if a customs agent is opening up one of them, him, his co workers, the entire dock area, and the entire city around will be completely destroyed, and nobody will ever know who shipped the bombs in what container, from where or to whom. I don't think the boys would be any help if they were in LA, where I imagine the bombs will have to clear customs, they will be vaporized as well. Oh well, we will have to wait to see . Steve

But did you actually watch the video? They make a few good points that in this case it might be possibly true. I guess the question really is when does a person stop being a woman and becomes a man?

As far as I can recall, the only person that J/S has referred to as an associate has been Dimitri. Now lets add in the fact that he blew up a plane full of people in Russia. Also we know that Brandon is planning on taking up flight lessons back in the states. Wonder if these two things could be connected . Not to beat a dead horse, or goat with a stick, but back to J/S's money. Let's say you all may have persuaded me slightly to believe that maybe all of or part of his income isn't coming from Instinct. So he is an ex arms dealer with a sizable bank account. Now what really are the chances that he has been under the radar of national or international intelligence agencies???? All I will say is that maybe Gunter has a big role to play in the future in my opinion. Steve

WOW Who started all this ??? They should be ashamed to being responsible for getting everyone riled up :wacko: !! First off, I have not used any derogatory names for Helen. But I'm still of the belief that J/S is using some of the bands money in the past, present, and maybe the immediate future to help carry out his plans. We know he used to be an arms dealer (HA, did anyone remember that???), but he still must be getting income from somewhere, and that is where the band comes in. Yes, I do believe that Instinct's primary role is to act as couriers for J/S's bombs, but why did he go the whole gay acting route to continue being their shipper. Wouldn't it be a whole lot easier to walk in and say "hey, my son is a screw up, and in good faith, I know the logistics of your needs, let me continue to take care of your logistics and I won't charge you up front'? Now since I'm of the belief that J/S is siphoning off the band, I'm looking at all the inside circle to see who has the opportunity to help him out, and also be a loose end that needs to be taken care of by Mario. I floated Helen as being a possibility. I may be totally wrong, but really....who wouldn't put it past the goat to make us love someone for all of her motherly actions and best interest for the group and turn out to be Judas in the end? Almost a complete reversal of Eric in FTL, who started out as a bad a$$ and then ended up being in my opinion the hero of the story. Since nobody has come up with an alternative, then let me rephrase my question totally: Where does J/S get his income from (which really has to be substantial) to facilitate his dreams? Steve

Well, let me throw this back at you then We know that J/S's fund raiser back in LA was a ruse to raise money for his special project :nuke: . We know that J/S has a legitimate shipping business. We know that Gabe was skimming money, and to this day I believe that it was for J/S's activities. Does this not mean that he may or may not have a confidant within the Instinct close circle? Maybe the investment fund is all a ruse for actually the "Jerry takes over the world fund" How and where does he get the money to buy radioactive material, kryton switches, vast amount of land and buildings in Australia, precision machinery needed to make nuclear devices, fly everywhere at a whim to take care of a 'situation'? I think Instinct is more broke than what they know. Steve

Great chapter CJ I really like the hi jinx that Eric gets into when he has had a shot or three of tequila . Although I'm a member of SPICE, Eric seemed to come out unscathed.....this time. Still, I think Jon should become a member as well by his comments that why would Jerry have an son that is an addict, and yet turn around and ply Eric with his weakness at the same time. Actually this made me wonder....did J/S get Joe addicted in the first place? Yes we know that Joe was weak when he lost his mom, but it appears J/S will use substances to control who he wants Far from me to disagree with a few people , but there appears to be a plot line that is building, which could be construed as a cliffhanger . And I have to give credit to Gary for getting me thinking about it, it has to due with Helen . Now follow me on this one. Way back in chapter 21, we have this conversation between J/S and Mario:

Ah, yes. We have discussed this many times. I believe Joe even attempted one time to properly put it in the context that it was intended. But, our Goat decided to put it back again. Hence the quote at the bottom of my posts, which CJ posted before my post. Since I am Canadian, and since CJ believes I'm like a unicorn by being nothing more than fictional, this means the only statement made in his favour of his mantra was made by a fictional person, not a real person . Hmm, just realize I didn't comment on how I voted. Silly me . I voted that Vladimir will survive. I just don't see CJ killing off any of his main characters, and since the bomb assembly started, I would hardly consider him a minor character. As far as the comments in 29 between J/S and Dimitri, I have a funny feeling this could be a 'I know that you know that I know that you know that I know about you know' I wouldn't be surprise to see Vlad totally screw up their plans to off him. As far as Dimitri surviving, all I will say is I believe him and J/S will live to be a ripe old age in a nice place like Guantanamo Bay . If they don't suffer from radiation burns from their test, they should be able to work on a nice tan. Steve

I just got to thinking about the timeline here. J/S referd to needing Mario in a few weeks. Myself, I always interpret the word few with a couple. Now that statement was made before J/S met up with the band in Rome. From Rome they went to Australia if I recall. Now I also believe that the Shadows were going to be in busy for about a week before re hooking up with Instinct in Australia. So they have completed their first concert in Australia and took a couple of days off at least, remember the logistics involved in getting to Brisbane, and now have done two concerts in Brisbane. Now they are off to Sydney I believe, and then are they not returning to the resort with The Shadows for a while? There has been no mention of J/S getting in contact with Mario, so is this a clue that their target isn't one of the bands? Steve

When I look back at the encounter, I believe that J/S was actually having fun in his role of Jerry the homosexual. He was trying hard (maybe too hard) to impress the band and make them trust him even though Joe was his offspring, and definitely was a major pain in the a$ to everyone. Also, now that we know that Jerry and The Scar are the same person, we have seen the Scar's lack of patience especially with Vladimir. So we have Jerry trying to be all impressive, and all of a sudden a nobody in J/S's opinion seems to know as much or more than him. I believe a bit of his real personality slipped out. I guess another time he kinda slipped was at the resort when he kinda slamed the Range Rover's door in everyones face and didn't take the time to introduce Dimitri. So, how did Gunter know such much about Rome is one question, which could be answered by him working for INTERPOL or the CIA. He would have the international experience most likely. And even though we all understand that J/S is really just misunderstood , he does have a nasty habit of of losing patience fairly quickly. Oh well, he is only human after all. Steve
