This was too funny to pass up Since we have some singers that appear in chat, I had some thoughts of them while watching this video. This gentleman was arrested for public drunkeness in Edson, AB and taken to the RCMP detachment. This video recorded his journey to the police station http://youtu.be/fqymcJRSbxI

Sorry Basketball fans, wrong forum As some of you know, some may not, I have run a playoff pool for the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs for the past 3 years. The prize has remained the same; a six month premium membership to GA or if you want, you can donate the money in your name to the operation of GA We have had Matt win the past two years and seems to be ready to see if he can make it 3 in a row. There is absolutely no skill or knowledge needed to participate, heck even Krista enters and she doesn't even know what a puck or icing is . This pool is for fun, a little bragging rights but it is not to be meant as a highly competitive. I usually put in my guess (and suck ) but I'm never eligible to win. First thing I like to do is gauge interest in people participating. So, would you be interested in participating this year?

LOL I was just joiking when I commented about Ace Ventura. Then I see him referenced in Chapter 2 and I'm giggling. You had me confused a little bit, I was seeing a structure appearing and then you threw it out the window...Beginning of the chapter was a little bit about Eli, then some Ty, but really we didn't know why Ty was in Eli's office. Then finally a snippet about Serene. Now you have tied Ty ( ) into Serene but I'm still currious... Thanks for sharing Sammy

Interesting first Chapter Sammy You have intrigued me to see where this goes. I kind of have a feeling of his occupation as being like Ace Ventura; Pet Detective, but there seems to be much more. I shall now go read 2 and see where you are taking me. Thanks for sharing

Circumnavigation (99+15) Hunting the Hunter

I'm not really sure of the relationship of the Customs Service in Australia, but I am curious now I do believe that Canada is set up much the same, but not really sure. Wait, I'm just reading my post, and maybe they are not alike at all Our Coast Guard is a division of Fisheries and Oceans. More or less the enforcement arm of that branch of government. They do most the patrolling and enforcement of Canadian Maritime Law. They do some search and rescue, but a lot of that falls under the Department of Defense and the Navy. We also have our Customs department, which is known as the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA). They are under the Canadian Revenue Agency (The US equivalent of the IRS). They are tasked with enforcement of border security and enforcement of importing and exporting rules. AKA, they collect the money when you cross the border. They are tasked to land border crossings, airports, train stations, and ports and mail. One thing I don't know is if our Coast Guard are armed? I know the CBSC only got approval for side arm in the past couple of years. It always blew my mind that when you go through US Customs in a Canadian Airport when travelling to the US, the guards all are armed to the nine's, and my on one of my recent post 911 trips, they had military carrying automatic weapons...in the Toronto Airport You then come back to Canada, and you won't see a gun in sight. You won't see a taser, your won't see any weapons, not even a night stick. One thing I do believe, that when anything of risk is involved with either the Coast Guard or the Customs Service, they call the RCMP. They are the official 'police' when dealing with both agencies. I may be wrong on any of this and am ready to be corrected I'm just curious of the relationship between the Australian Navy, Air Force, Customs Service and Coast Guard (If they have one). Anyone to clarify? -

Circumnavigation (99+15) Hunting the Hunter
wildone replied to C James's topic in C James Fan Club's Topics
I have to agree with a lot of the comments above...especially the one of CJ going cliffhanger crazy now that he isn't eligible for this year. One observation, I know that the echinda does a lot of work with CJ in order to get a lot of the geographical, social and language right for Australia. I then notice that Mr.B lives 'just outside' of Melbourne. Anyone want to guess where Graeme lives? Just saying......... I'm glad they finally found the tracking device, but even more relieved Uncle Greg told them to leave it alone and let it keep transmitting. Nothing like setting the bait for Graeme, oops, I mean Mr.B to come racing towards the opening hands of the Customs Service among law enforcement agencies and possibly the Military too. Good for Trevor to shut up the communications guy, he was beginning to annoy me. I think this has been the first chapter in a long time where we weren't updated on Bridget happenings. Like has she died of infection and blood loss? We could only hope. Nice to see Jim and Dirk back to a somewhat normal life. If I was a betting man, they are much much more safer than Trevor, Shane, Joel and Lisa. Those two have no more purpose to Bridget and Sanchez. More so our foursome and possibly Rachael. Thanks for the chapter CJ I do forgive you for taking next week off. If anyone wants to know, CJ has some of the most interesting Anthologies out there, so instead of your weekly dose of Circumnavigation, I'd suggest to read his entry. I will -
Circumnavigation (99 +14) Head Games

Hmm, I wonder what happened to the rest of my post At the beginning of the chapter Shane and Joel were commenting about dying if Trevor made breakfast. Kind of ironic that they did not know how close they were to dying from Mr. B. I'm sure the coast guard when they arrive to the island will not be able to do much as Basingstoke will be long gone. I'd say the four have their best chance of annoying the radio men at Fleet Base West where they will find out how Mr. B is tracking them. It will be just another nail in the coffin of him as he will have the Coast Guard, Navy, and Police all looking for him. But then again, so did Bridget . -
I think there is a place for both. I'll use C James or an example. He seems to put a lot of thought into his titles as his readership are trying to guess what will happen next in his stories. Usually his titles will have a double meaning, be ironic, or be totally misleading. It is interesting to go back after reading the chapter and see why he decided to use that title. He does number them though, so he would please people who do like the numbers. Like now I think he is on Chapter 115 of his current story that he predicted 30-35 chapters for I can understand why people would go just with a number though, if you are worried you might be giving away the chapter by the title, then probably best not to use them. So I will sit on the fence on this one

Great chapter CJ It just goes to show that you rightfully deserved the award for King of Evil Cliffhangers :king: One thing I noticed right at the start of the chapter, -
Insufferable

Congratulations to all the winners and the nominees. I know you don't have to look far to find 100's of eligible people to receive any of the above awards. Take a bow all of you, you deserve it
-
Liked the chapter, but unfortunately had to read the first chapter as well. Really liked how you developed Brandon and Tyler in this chapter. We got a glimpse of their past and their current situation. You must be reading too many cliffhangers in other's stories to end a chapter that way I look forward to where you are taking us with this story yet understand that life is creazy and maybe writing can't be at the top of your list. I'll patiently wait to find out more.

Very good point Cia. Also very valid when doing public speaking. Use 'common' language and don't try to make yourself sound or look smarter than your audience

Well thought I would revive this topic and understand that you may not want to come out of the closet and admit your a Gleek So last night was the winter season finale and it had a lot of heavy stuff in it. A lot of it that was personal to me and I may or may not have shed a tear or two. Did you watch it? What did you think? Too much for all in one episode? Or am I the only one who watched it

Chapter 12 Answered Prayers
wildone commented on Enoch's story chapter in Chapter 12 Answered Prayers
Great chapter Billy Actually covered a lot of ground in this one chapter, and even added a twist of Druids I don't know Kentucky history, but is there really a Druid scene going on down there ? I was interested and really enjoyed the sermon part. It did not come across as preachy and really, it was the first time that I have heard of support for GLBT peeps using that particular part of scripture. Usually other parts are used and tried to be explained, so this was refreshing to see what hopefully is your take on what the Bible says. I'm sure the family will be okay with them coming out to them. Just I have an eerie feeling that this may complicate matters when the family is soon to come under "attack". Looking forward to the next chapter...............like now -

Circumnavigation (99 +11) Operation Wesson

And yet another cliffhanger He posted that at 7:35 PM MST on Sunday night, and yet it is 11:30 PM MST on Monday. Oh, and to save Lugh the trouble, no, this cliffhanger does not constitute anything towards CJ eligibility of last years ( the 2011) King of Cliffhangers Award. -

I too saw the recommendation on the blog and decided to look your story up I have to admit, I wasn't sure where things were going (or if anything was going) after the first two chapters. It was the final meeting of Sam and Lucca that hooked me as a fan. I have my ideas of what is going on, but before reading others ideas i want to see where you are taking us. One other thing, the past few chapters have been amazing. The character growth and in depth discription of what they are thinking has bee great. I personally didn't see Sam as such a good catch since he ran away from his troubles it seemed, but now that he is thinking about being serious, we have a totally new Sam. His thoughts and consideration of what to do and say to Lucca have proven him to be a thoughtful, intellegent person. Not my first impression of him. Kudos on a great story before. I've added it to my follow list, so if I don't get a notification of an update soon, I might come back here and hound ya j/k Thanks for posting this story.
