Mine all called and cancelled my appointments. I did some over the telephone, but others I need to reschedule.

It's supposed to reach 78 today, so a bit warmer. It's nice and sunny out. I get an estimate this afternoon for replacing my gutters. I hope to work some more on Chapter 4. There was a flying thing around the house last night, but after an epic battle with the cats, I'm pretty sure whatever it was is vanquished. Good kitties!

I got a birthday present from my BFF today

I got a letter in the mail today officially extending my furlough. I lose my benefits next month, unless I elect to continue under COBRA. Sigh.

It's cool and dry here. Nice and sunny too. I have a structural engineer and my contractor coming today to draw up plans for the basement repairs. Tomorrow I have another contractor coming to give me an estimate for new gutters. So hopefully soon I will have a structurally sound house with a dry basement and working gutters. My checking account is very much not happy about the situation, but there's not much I can do on that front.
