GAH! I thought things seemed a little too easy

This is one of my favorite technical prompts. It gets authors thinking about different ways to word things, and I think it also encourages better descriptive writing. Nice job. I didn't miss the "I" at all.

We've got some severe thunderstorms rolling through the area... hopefully they won't be as severe as last Thursday when some areas got over 6" of rain along with a tornado Thankfully they were south of where I live. My basement wouldn't be able to handle that much rain. The new gutters are making a big difference. I'm anxious to get the basement repairs finished, which are scheduled for this Friday.

Today was a busy day. I spent the morning cleaning the house. I had my new gutters installed this afternoon and my mom came over. We worked on sorting through stuff in my spare room and also hung some pictures. The work in the basement will be done next Friday. I also called a mobile vet to come see Joker. He's started biting, and they're not love bites. I've got a nasty long bite mark from yesterday that broke the skin. I want to make sure there's nothing physically wrong with him. I was really happy to find a mobile vet, since now I don't have the stress of trying to get him into a carrier. Unfortunately, the appointment isn't until August, so I'll call and see if I can get on a waitlist. And the biggest news... is work finally has some guidance from the state about reopening! So I'm hoping for news soon about when I might be able to return to work. It's raining now. The gutters work great!

me too. We've broke all sorts of records here. We broke the record for hottest day in July, equalled the second hottest day ever on record in this area, and broke the record for most consecutive days in a row of 90 degrees or above. Thank goodness we have a bit of relief tomorrow, but then we're back into the 90s next week.

It's 98 here. We tied the record for the highest temps ever here. My AC can't keep up. The coolest I can get the house is 78. We also broke a record for most consecutive days of 90 degrees or above. We'll get a slight reprieve this weekend, then temps go back into the 90s for the foreseeable future. Thank goodness I found a good low-carb ice cream at the grocery store today.
