  1. There's a little thing called "travel". 😛
  2. It rained all day with the temps hovering right around freezing. Thankfully the roads weren't bad on the way home. Wet, but not icy thanks to the salt trucks. There's ice coating everything though. This is the tree and streetlight in front of my house.
  3. I will not reveal my sources
  4. Meet my newest herd member. I'm putting him in spoilers so I can trap anyone who tries to steal him. 😛
  5. My mom recently had the chance to meet Peter Yarrow. She said he's a really down-to-earth, nice guy.
  6. Yes. The majority of them arrived before the bad weather. I have two outpatients this afternoon and they haven't cancelled. From what I've heard, the roads are fine now. It's raining, but not freezing rain anymore.
  7. Oh man... there's a nightmarish thought! It's quite nasty out now. Everything is covered in ice. I'm still hoping it will turn to rain this afternoon and be better for the drive home.
  8. We know the road isn't smooth and there will be bumps along the way. I'm sorry you had a setback, but it sounds like you're putting your toolbox to good use and using what you've put in place for instances like this.
  9. Good morning! I made it work before the storm hit, thankfully. It's freezing rain now though, and coming down in buckets. No... not our resident Tea Bat But everything is covered in ice and the roads are a skating rink. It should have turned to rain by the drive home... fingers crossed the weatherpeople are right!
  10. I didn't say how long it's been dead. 😛
  11. One of my BFFs had a severe reaction to the gadolinium in the contrast when she had an MRI. They told her it couldn't have been the contrast because the side effects listed were all minor. So they pretty much told her she was nuts. Well guess what? Now there's research showing the gadolinium partly stays in the brain afterwards. So questioning what's in the contrast is a good thing.
  12. I prefer mine dead when I make it. No screaming casseroles.
  13. We didn't have the record warmth of yesterday, but it was still a nice, mild day. Tomorrow, on the other hand, we're supposed to get an ice storm just in time for the morning commute. I have my version of shepherd's pie in the oven.
  14. Calgary? His name's not Steve is it? Nah... but maybe @wildone knows him
  15. Order one for me while you're at it
  16. Yikes! That's a lot of records! I'd rather break records for cold than heat. I handle the cold much better.
  17. Thanks It was really easy to make. The hardest part was putting it in the oven without spilling it. Today we're supposed to have record warmth. Up to 60 F! Crazy, considering just a few days ago we set records for cold and snowfall.
  18. Happy GA-versary! 🍰
  19. Even if this is the eye of the hurricane--there will always be good and bad times--there's calm once the storm passes. You have your toolbox and the willpower to use it, which is awesome.
  20. I appreciate all comments/feedback from readers, but I have to say I particularly looked forward to @CassieQ's comments on The Hollow Hills. She never held back in regards to one character in particular, and I loved how the story invoked such strong emotion. I also appreciate @TimothyM''s support and lovely comments about The Old Ways.
  21. I like the way you think
  22. These people make me consider moving. I never thought I'd prefer my old neighbors. They were loudmouths who didn't know how to communicate without yelling, but at least they didn't play loud, obnoxious music.
  23. It hasn't been playing long enough to warrant calling the police. Hours on end or late at night... then yes, I would call. I don't think people realize how loud and obnoxious their music is. Or they don't care. Probably a combination of both. People have no consideration of others anymore.
