  1. I have no doubt I'd probably never want to leave. I have an intense fear of flying for that long over water, though. I'll make it someday, but I'll need medication to do it.
  2. Or, as I used to call them, my outdoor clothes. 😛
  3. We do like our eye candy
  4. I'd love to visit upside down land sometime. First, I'd like to visit Europe. I'm a horrible flier though, so I'm not sure how I'd do going to Europe, let alone Australia. I'd need some pretty heavy sedation to get through it.
  5. Definitely. I worked at an equestrian center for a bit where I lived in an apartment above the barn. We had a massive ice storm overnight and everything was coated in about an inch of ice. Well, that meant the parking lot was one giant skating rink. And I had to walk across it to get to the lower barn and take care of the lesson horses. There was absolutely no way anyone could walk across it safely. So I 'skied' down it. lol I crouched down like I was on skis, and slid down the parking lot to the fence bordering the paddock near the lesson barn. I stayed on my feet the whole time, then was able to crunch my way through the icy snow to the barn. One of my apartment mates watched the entire spectacle and said he was laughing his ass off the entire time watching me. He said it made his day. Too bad it was before cell phone videos.
  6. Awwww... thanks, bro
  7. Yeah, ice is nothing to mess with. We don't tend to get a ton of ice storms, although this season seems to be an exception to that rule. I'm crossing my fingers it changes over to rain pretty quickly, so I don't have to worry about the drive home. I'd much rather have snow.
  8. Good morning ☕ We're getting about an inch of snow today, so no big deal, but tomorrow we're supposed to have a yucky commute. Again, not a lot of snow, about 4-6", but it's supposed to be heaviest during the morning commute, then turn to ice, then turn to rain in the afternoon. Wed is supposed to be bad too, Thurs ok, then bad again Fri. Is it spring yet?
  9. I sympathize. I've had this exact conversation with my brain many times.
  10. And you're not supposed to pee on them. 😛
  11. Mwahahahaha! Plants shall kneel before our combined might!
  12. Me too. I'm death to plants.
  13. I love smoked salmon. I make a really tasty dish with fresh broccoli covered in smoked salmon and a dill cream sauce. *drool* I think I may have to add that to the shopping list
  14. Yes, I do. 😛 Lots of mad faces for all
  15. He's a valued member of my herd and you happened to catch him on the way to a nice, hot shower. See how he's started to remove his pants? 😛
  16. Sounds wonderful! Minus the fungus
  17. Anxiety definitely sucks I hope you feel better soon.
  18. Well, in his defense, it has been quite cold in Canada this week, so I think his fingers froze. ☃️
  19. It caused a lot of power outages around here, but thankfully not at my house. I'm so glad they finally died down.
  20. 😛 Not yet. She doesn't start until the 18th. 😛
  21. The issue here wasn't the plowing or salting. We're used to much larger amounts of snow at once, even though we set records for the two days of the blizzard. The problem was the high winds, which made visibility pretty much zero. The other problem was the arctic temps. Salt loses its effectiveness when the temps dip into the single digits.
  22. Sounds like here. In the course of a week we had a blizzard which closed down the area for 2 days and set snowfall records for those days, followed by record warmth, then an ice storm. The last two days we had 60+mph winds and now today we're back to frigid temps and snow. Gotta love winter. lol
  23. I love ginger too. Emotionally hungover is totally a thing.
