I'm having a nice cup of hot cider. Ham and bean soup sounds really good. I froze some of that corn quiche I made last Sunday and had a piece for lunch yesterday. Word of advice for anyone wanting to make that quiche... don't freeze any of it! It's still tasty but OMG it retains a ton of water. So thawed leftovers will be quite soggy once re-heated.
O.M.G. *wipes drool off screen* That sounds amazing! I think you've hit every one of my favorite flavors. Coffee, chocolate, peanut butter... I think I want to be your friend
I have a bunch of editing to do too. Once my student intern starts on the 18th, I'll have a ton of time for editing and writing.
Yeah, seafood Alfredo is a little too yum... lol I ate two helpings
I picked out the floor today for the bathroom reno. I also did a bunch of housework. I made seafood Alfredo for lunch/dinner and am now catching up on my computer stuff. I'm debating whether I want to make a spice cake tonight or tomorrow. It's supposed to snow tomorrow, but not too much, thankfully. It's bluefish cold, though.
I'm pretty sensitive to caffeine. I can't drink it after noon or else it tends to affect my sleep. I have one cup of coffee in the morning, and that's it for me for the day. If you're worried about becoming dependent, but need the jolt to get going, maybe try a cup of half-caf. It has less caffeine, but maybe it would be enough to work, but not make you feel dependent on it.
We're here to listen, so please don't think you are complaining or whining--that's the depression and anxiety talking. Insomnia sucks, but it will pass at some point.
I had an internet free day at work, thanks to the high winds currently buffeting the area. 60+mph and it hasn't let up since last night. If I see any munchkins, I'm outta here. (No jokes about dropping houses on me!)
We have more ice this morning. At least the roads weren't bad, but the parking lot where I work today was. Thankfully I was going slow, otherwise I would have slid into a ditch. One of the staff salted a path for me from my car to the door, otherwise I have no doubt I would have fallen. My aunt slipped and fell in the parking lot where she works yesterday and got a concussion. She's ok, but two other people also fell.
