    Thanks so much, Parker I'm glad you liked Mr. N's poem. I find myself channeling him sometimes when the neighbor kids run across my lawn... Does that mean I'm getting old? LOL Hmm... your thoughts on the first warning poem are interesting. I never would have considered it as valedictory, but I can see it. Thanks for your thoughts and your input. I posted a pic of the headline poem in the Gallery. I cut all the headlines out of a food magazine. lol

    Hmm... I don't remember writing Gary's promo... It's nice to see three anthology/contest stories featured. There are real gems contained there, and these are no exception. Dirty Pool is one of my favorites because of the pure emotion portrayed. Like Litlover said, it's a realistic portrayal of how miscommunication can completely derail a relationship. One of my comments on the story was about how I wanted to live in that house... so Gary very clearly described what was in his head. Nice promo! I always like reading about the inspiration behind stories.

    Ah yes... the February thaw. It gives us hope that winter will be over soon and makes us crabby when winter returns... lol I'm guilty of yelling at bulbs that want to sprout too early too, although with not quite the same phrasing. Thanks for the giggle.

    This is a great selection, Addy. I think you did all the scenes justice. Dead Poet's Society is one of my all-time favorite films, so I have to say I loved #10. Great job

    As Mac said, your poems always carry such an emotional punch. The second one was haunting. The ones showing relationship struggles are poignant, yet give me hope. I love the last line of the April 4th poem. "Still our hands entwine". It's been a long time since I was in Toronto, but I can picture your neighborhood clearly even if I don't know the exact place you're describing. Nice week one!

    These are all great offerings, Parker. I'm glad so many people are using the prompts I forwarded. It's so interesting to read the different takes on them. I really liked the "Careful ties his hat on" prompt. The second six-line poem really stood out to me. You described this week's weather perfectly! I hope Friday was the last of our snow. I liked how you tied three haiku together for the Nature Guide prompt. I especially like the 'heralds of the green' line. There's a typo in that one that you missed. It should be 'bright'. The April 6th poem was brilliant. You had me guessing about the chair right until the end. I loved the 'warning' poem, also. You described me to a T, only sub glasses for car keys... I look forward to seeing what this week offers

    You did a great job with this prompt. The haiku is one of your best. Very clear and succinct. The longer work expands the haiku nicely. Now I feel like I need to write a longer companion piece to my own response to this prompt. lol Nicely done

    I really like the form of this also, especially the single word at the end of each stanza. Nice beginning! And Happy Belated Birthday and Retirement to your pappa!
