Great chapter. Ryan definitely needs to be done with porn. I just hope he comes to term with his emotions before he pushes Erik away for good.

Great job, Northie. I loved this story. It was well-written and I loved how romance was considered a perversion. The demon's cat reminds me a bit of my own... lol It's great as is, or I could see this being expanded into a larger work. I'd love to know what happens when the demon goes back to Hell.

This was great, Parker. I guessed that Issac was hearing the call of a loon. The cry is unmistakable, once you've heard it. Nice take on the prompt. I really enjoyed it. Oh, and I got a big laugh out of the following paragraph : Isaac had met a few other shifters in his varied life – all of them powerful, almost larger-than-life individuals – and predators. Those were the real shifters. There was a huge silver bear in Florida, an incredibly handsome and cocky wolf in Minnesota, and a sleek goshawk in Los Angeles, of all places. All way out of his league. And there was that mountain lioness in Colorado, who stalked him along the edge of a bone-chilling mountain lake until he had shifted to his avian form, preparing to fly. Only when Isaac heard her human gasp did he understood he'd been trailed by a fellow shifter. At least she'd apologized.

I loved this story. The robot made me think of Gollum's conversations with Smeagol. lol The whole concept of Eternal Life, Limited is intriguing. I can see a whole series of vignettes using the company as a setting. Great take on the prompt, Adi.

So the Cheeto is an alien. That explains a lot. LOL

Swimming toward Infinity Frank emerged tentatively from the tollbooth, then dove back in, narrowly avoiding hitting his head in an effort to hide from the large face that had suddenly appeared in his lane. His eyes bulged and mouth gaped open as the giant blue eyes met his own. “Shit! They saw me!” The tollbooth was no longer a safe refuge, so he darted out the back door, swimming frantically toward the kelp field. He hid in the large, finger-like leaves, swaying in time with their mov

Looking For A Story (Can't Remember The Title)
Valkyrie replied to Hamen Cheese's topic in The Lounge
Sorry you're going through a tough time, but it's nice to see you here. I really like your writing. The story you're looking for sounds vaguely familiar, but I can't think of a title either. Hopefully someone else will be more helpful. -
Untitled, Special Delivery, and Seasons
Valkyrie commented on Valkyrie's story chapter in Untitled, Special Delivery, and Seasons
Thanks, tim. I'm happy to get reviews anytime. I'm ready for spring, even though we've had such a mild winter. Thanks for the review. -
The ending was definitely a punch in the gut. I had a feeling something had happened to Rene to make him so reluctant for a physical relationship. I read this last night and it really stuck with me. I had to think on it, because it really bothered me. To be honest, my first reaction to Rene's words made me think that he was still a boy and Jason was a man. I get it now...he was molested in his past. The line about Jason holding the little boy confused me at first, but he's holding the man who reverted back to being that little boy whose childhood was cruelly taken. This is a very realistic portrayal of someone's reaction after abuse. It seems that Rene has found the right man in Jason. I have a feeling Jason will stick around for the long haul and see him through his recovery. Well done, tim.

I've been recording it and hope to start watching it this weekend. Thanks for pointing it out, because otherwise I would have missed it.

More, please! Definitely continue. I was drawn right into the story, and once again, you do a masterful job of showing vs telling. I really like how you used Jake as the vehicle for the turmoil and repressed feelings. We get how the protagonist feels at the end, but up until then I was guessing as to whether or not he returned Jake's feelings. You had me cringing when he tried to kiss him with his nasty whiskey breath. I imagine Jake didn't do much in the personal hygiene department during his drinking binge, either. I thought this was a great snippet. Please continue. Pretty please? lol Oh, I found a spelling error: His words strike a cord in me. A flash of moonlight, the echo of a gunshot, my body hitting the ground. "Well,” I say, as nonchalantly as I can muster, “I'm here now, eh? Everything's fine." Should be chord.

Untitled, Special Delivery, and Seasons
Valkyrie commented on Valkyrie's story chapter in Untitled, Special Delivery, and Seasons
Thanks for the great review, Mac. I chose to put these three together because of the common theme. They are definitely very personal and I would agree with you that they highlight different seasons in my life. With the exception of #2, since I didn't write that with myself in mind...more of a generic look at childbirth, although I suppose it does have some personal implications. I started building my walls pretty early. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts. -

Thanks so much for the review, Dugh. I definitely had a different perspective back then. I remember the emotions I felt when I wrote them, but would have to say that my feelings now are a bit of the same, with a healthy dose of maturity mixed in. It's definitely interesting revisiting them. -

Another great feature, Dark. It was difficult reading Skinny's response, but nice to read his words. I've also wondered if Roberto and Albert (Carlos ) collaborated with their writing. They are both such nice people. I miss seeing them here and hope they're back soon. I started ET a couple of years ago, but haven't finished it yet. I need to do that because it's an outstanding story. I love all of CM's stories too, even if they put me through the wringer. It's nice to see a new story from her.

Untitled, Special Delivery, and Seasons
Valkyrie commented on Valkyrie's story chapter in Untitled, Special Delivery, and Seasons
Thanks so much, Parker. It's nice to know that my old poems still hold relevance. I wrote a lot more poetry back then than I do now, and a lot of it is cringeworthy. lol It makes me feel good knowing there are some worth salvaging. Thanks for the great review. I needed the smile today. -
#1: Untitled This year winter came early. Igloos of ice formed Neat walls around me, Keeping me cozy and cold. Not even spring heals this ice. Seasons come and go But winter seems to always Lurk around, Hiding, Waiting to spring its discontent upon us. #2: Special Delivery Innocence bursts forth With a scream of agony, Delighting all those near. The first choking breath Inhales the machine-sweet Hospital air, And the first brick Of the wall to come Is nestled carefully

I laughed out loud when I read the title to this... "It's just a flesh wound" Now I have the whole scene with the Black Knight playing in my head. This was a very cute 'scrap'. More would be nice, but it's also good as a stand alone.

Things are going so well now, something must be looming around the corner to derail them for a bit. I want to keep reading, but my eyes aren't as young as they used to be. lol Oh, and I loved the little game they played with Drew on the phone. lol

Holy crap is right!

O.O Wow...I wasn't expecting that ending! Great chapter, Mac. I know I say that about all of them, but this story just keeps getting better and better. I loved the beginning when they watched the cow give birth. It brought me back to all those late nights of foal watch I used to do. Travis is right... no matter how many births you see, it's always a humbling and awe-inspiring experience. I love how Ben just jumped right into ranch work. It's very hard, thankless work, as he's learning. Travis has my utmost sympathy with having to deal with his brother and uncle. I wonder what he'll do about Ben...if he'll contact the paparazzi. Guess we'll find out. I wasn't expecting Eric to be back in the picture at all. I can see a few different ways this can go. Can we have more now, please? lol

csr book club February C S R Discussion Day: Harry Potter Fanfic By Myr
Valkyrie commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
"I’ll also point out that a lot of authors out there that are highly successful started as FanFiction writers. (Cia probably just choked back a curse about Fifty Shades of Shit…)" I had just taken a sip of my coffee when I read this earlier this morning and ended up choking so I didn't spew it all over my computer screen. lol I have to admit not being a huge fan of fan fiction until I gave some of the Star Trek - The Next Generation fan fiction novels a try in the late '90s. I enjoyed them a lot more than I thought I would. I've read one of your HP stories so far, and will check out the rest when I get a chance. I loved all of your stories that I've read so far and will join the legions calling for more of your Ranger stories. I don't really have any questions since the interview pretty much covered anything I wanted to ask. Nice man cave, BTW.- 5 comments

Corey is way overthinking things. He needs to let go of his past feelings about Jason and go with the moment. It's clear that both men are into each other, if they would just relax and let things happen. I think they're getting there, though.
