Same here. I was extremely upset when I was first diagnosed. I've used it to make positive changes in my life, so overall it's worked out well.

I was put on Metformin when I was first diagnosed, but it wreaked havoc with my digestive system so I had to stop taking it. My doctor was happy with how much my levels dropped and my assurance I could stick to an appropriate diet. It's worked so far, although I'd like to see my fasting blood sugar levels lower. She's never had me test my blood sugar other than during my routine bloodwork. My next appointment is in April, so I'm hoping my numbers have remained good or dropped.

It's a tough diagnosis to hear, but you can control it with a proper diet and possibly medication. I've been able to manage mine with no meds and by following a low carb diet.

Yes, it's an annual safety inspection. We don't get reminders here. There's a sticker on the windshield which says the month and year it expires. With the little driving I've been doing, it never once occurred to me to check the date. I have an appointment on Monday to get it done. It's a brand new car, so there shouldn't be any issues. Well, it's a year old. lol

So I headed out this afternoon to check out some local antique malls. Literally right before the driveway of the first place I stopped, I saw flashing lights in my rearview mirror I was stopped for an expired inspection sticker It seriously never occurred to me to check the date of my last inspection At least he was really nice and said the court's been dismissing inspection tickets as long as I have it done within a week and send proof of the inspection when I mail in the ticket. So I have an appointment on Monday.

Poor Rick. Nothing seemed to go his way. Mrs. Lee is awesome! We all knew she knew, but it's got to be such a relief to Rick to know how accepting she is. It was a huge step forward for Rick, that he could imagine everyone knowing and thinking it didn't matter as long as they could be together. Now I'm curious as to what's going on with all the congratulations and Irene's snit. I think Rita is probably spreading rumors again. I have a feeling the next chapter will be a doozy!

I had a busy morning. I went to my follow up appointment with the sleep doctor and they said my rate of abnormal breaths is down to 4.7. It's supposed to be below 5. So the CPAP is doing its job. I'm getting more used to it and am able to tolerate 5-6 hours of it now. After my appointment, I headed to a local mall to check out a shop that carries the horses I collect. Well, I ended up finding an antique emporium so spent about an hour and 15 mins walking around the stores and the mall. I found some cool things too

My mom is the queen of picky eaters. No veggies... no flavored drinks (only milk or water)... and nothing spicy.

Oh I hope it doesn't take that long! My cousin's kids both lost their sense of taste and smell, but they came back quickly.

It's a common symptom. I've known several people who have had mild cases and they lost their sense of taste and smell. I'll be more concerned if her oxygen levels start dropping again.

She told me she just realized she lost her sense of smell and taste. She's not sure when it happened.

I'm going to guess someone's surveilling the area, knowing it will be investigated. Hopefully they'll catch the traitors. And bad Coyote Cub for the cliffie!

My mom continues to feel better. She's still exhausted, but feels better than she did on Monday. We're thinking that was the worst day and she's on the mend. Her oxygen levels continue to dip at times, but they go back up to normal levels when she rests.

She's feeling a bit better today, but she has a headache and was going to take a nap when I talked to her this morning. We're hoping yesterday was the worst of it. She said her O2 sats were up today, that's great news

Well, my mom's feeling worse today When she tested positive, the doctor told her she'd start to feel worse over the next few days. She has a fever now and some congestion. Still tired. My aunt gave her a pulseoximeter to measure her oxygen levels. They dipped overnight, but are back up again now.
