    Week One

The thing that gets me is that this is the third time in about 20 years that I've been pulled over for an expired inspection sticker So I'm usually pretty diligent about staying on top of it now. The whole time thing really screwed with me though, and I seriously had no idea it was that expired. At least the officer said the town has been waiving the fee if proof the inspection is done within a week of the issue date of the ticket, so fingers crossed I won't have to pay a fine. Thank you so much for reading and taking the time to comment. I'm glad these spoke to you

    Subito Forte

Woo hoo! Go Rick! Let's see Rita call him a doormat now! We all knew she was a piece of work, but her true colors are truly despicable. Nice to know Heinrich Senior has millions...Rick really needs to cut ties with the family business and start his own. Kudos to him for finally coming out to Jerry! I knew Jerry would accept him for who he is. I can't wait to hear what Irene has to say. Now Rick needs to go see Zoltan and Gus while he's on a roll... Rick Roll... Never gonna give you up...

I'm glad Kieran is on their side! Cyn is growing more confident. Sounds like his relationship with Shea is progressing nicely. Great chapter!

  7. I went for another mile walk today It's beautiful and sunny out. I wouldn't be surprised if we reach 80 F tomorrow! I also posted the first week of my National Poetry Writing Month poems
  8. Retrospective: Week One #1 March’s lamb becomes April’s wolf, Storming in with teeth bared, gnashing spring back into winter, all bluster and bluff until green prevails #2 For the first time in a year, I felt safe enough to go shopping For something other than groceries or essentials. Excitement and trepidation warred within As I sighted my destination And activated the turn signal, slowing down As I approached the park
  9. April is National Poetry Writing Month, and this is my collection for 2021. The goal is to write 30 poems (one per day) throughout the month. The majority of poems are responses to prompts supplied by Jan Hutchinson. Since I turn fifty this year, a lot of them will feature remembrances, musings, and thoughts about the next fifty. A retrospective of my life.

  12. You wish you were the awesomeness that is tuxedo birds
  13. Great start to the month! I always enjoy seeing our different takes on the prompts. I laughed at "certual" and liked the play on 'mirror mirror'. I was with you in the forest on the 2nd. Of course you counted syllables for the 'this poem' I quite enjoyed the cat poem as well. I'll be posting my first week tomorrow
  14. For @dughlas Today's National Tartan Day
  15. Penguins are the most debonair in the animal kingdom
  16. Lovely memory and poem
  17. Caramelized onion and cauliflower sounds quite delicious... but then you had to mention mushrooms and peas... together I had leftover pork loin and veggie fries.
  18. I made some low carb baked 'oatmeal' for breakfast this morning. It doesn't have any oats in it, but it's quite reminiscent of the real thing and sooooo goood. I'll post a pic in the gallery I've spent the day so far puttering around the house. My mom is coming over shortly and we'll have pork tenderloin for dinner. She's bringing rice for her side and I'll have veggie fries and maybe a salad. Then ice cream for dessert. It's sunny and beautiful out, so a perfect day for Easter. Oh and I bought some Dove dark chocolate bites too. Can't have an Easter with no chocolate
  19. Welcome! This is a great place to be
  20. I finally managed to snag a vaccination appointment First one I could get is May 18th
