Last week, I did something incredibly stupid that resulted in me spending a few bucks. I'll start at the beginning. It was a nice late afternoon so I took my laptop out onto the porch to work on a story one of my authors sent me. I got myself set up with everything that I use outside, a chair, something to drink, a bottle with water to put cigarettes in, laptop and a small table to work on. In case your wondering, yes, I have a wireless network set up, not that I need it work on stories. I also like to watch the eye candy that comes and goes from the Restaurant/Bar across the road. Later on, when I decided to head back inside as it was starting to a little too cool for shorts and a t-shirt. I had the laptop in one hand and started to fold the camp chair up to take inside. I thought to myself, this isn't going to work, so I twisted around and set the laptop down on the table. I turned back to the chair and heard something slam behind me. It seems I had placed the laptop on the wrong spot of the table and it tipped over. The table does have a foot that prevents this from happening, but it's useless on carpeting as it won't roll. It's adjustable but not enough for carpet. The laptop still works, but runs extremely slow before it locks up completely. I've had it for almost 3 years and thought about getting a new one. The new one is faster than the old one and came installed with Vista. I've has some website issues, but I don't know if Vista is the problem or not. Sometimes when I come to GA, I get a screen with several different languages that says the account is suspended and to contact the administrator. Jan

I was going to suggest that it might be a browser problem, but it doesn't appear to be so. I checked it by opening up IE and not logging in. The picture showed as a downloadable link and not the picture. I clicked it and was immediately prompted to login. So I did and could then see the picture. Jan

Then there's the Adventures of Spin and Marty. And when are these two jackasses going to learn to let the cops do their job? It wouldn't surprise me to find out that LVSD is tracking Chris knowing he'd do something like this. I know, your thinking, they can't due to 'no signal'. But they know what's in the area. If they do manage to catch Chris, they won't kill him, they need him alive in order to lure Steve in in order to get the data stick back. Jan

I've been trying to break into the top 20 list and I just can't seem to get past a certain person. There for awhile, we've been playing Leap Frog. Jan I just went and checked, haven't done it for a few day's and found that I'm now in 19th place.

I get the impression that he didn't think to use another gun, or even change his service pistol after using it. If he had, he wouldn't have been so reluctant to give it up. If the guy's had been turned over to him, they wouldn't have made it to Piedmont alive. They'd be pushin' up Cactus. Jan

In the story, "Collision", and outline was drawn up with minimal information, mainly to introduce the characters to the authors. It gave a brief bio on each character and developed from there. Jan

I have to agree, I don't think Eric won't be there when the cops get there. He does seem to play Houdini a lot. As for the Flying Lessons, I think that comes in when it was mentioned to drop him off the edge of the cliff, which is only a 30 to 40 ft. drop. Good chapter CJ. Jan

My avatar comes from one of my favorite roller coasters, The Talon, The Grip of Fear, at Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown Pa. The picture show one of the trains going thru the helix fanile. Jan

Something that I've seen in the past is tankers from different companies (Sunoco, Texaco, Marathon, for example) in the same supply depot refilling to deliver to their respectively named gas stations. Where the fuel came from, I don't know. So something like this may not work. Jan
