  1. And if you notice, he hasn't posted anything here since he did #1278.
  2. HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAT!!
  3. Well done, Mate. Jan
  4. I've only flown once and I enjoyed the flight. The takeoff reminded me of the first drop of a coaster. The only part I didn't like was the return flight. It started raining as we boarded the plane. We had to wait on the taxiway for about a half hour for the storm to clear. They shut the plane down so it got hot and stuffy inside. Jan
  5. The new blue speedo was good and a nice little surprise. I also think we will be having a package arrive in Hawaii to a particular shoe store in the next chapter. Jan
  6. NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! LOL
  7. Get well soon, Luc Jan
  8. One thing that I've noticed, and I'm sure others have also, is the emotion you put into your stories. In WTDBMAY we feel what you felt. In your other stories, we feel what the characters feel. I know personally, while working on your stories, there have been moments where I've had tears form in my eyes, both happy and sad. We all need those moments.
  9. I'm right handed. The swirl is clockwise. My index finger is shorter. It doesn't matter which hand I look at, they both appear to be the same length. I am the first born son.
  10. Why do I get the feeling that since CJ has brought it up, the we will also find Eric in Hawaii. Jan
  11. More world news on our goat family.
  12. I got back home around 4:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon after a 10.5 hour drive. Staking My Claim has been sent back. I really appreciate the emails from you during my absence. They meant a lot to me. It further demonstrates the kind of person you are, Nick. >Hugs< Jan
  13. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MYK!!

This blog entry will help explain the entry of Nick's titled, 'Putting my best foot foward'. I'm currently spending some unexpected time with family. On the morning of 6/14, my youngest sister called me to me know that one of my older sisters died during the night unexpectedly. I didn't leave for Indiana until Saturday morning. I had a doctors appointment scheduled for Friday plus another appointment. I know, I could have rescheduled them, but the Doctor's appointment had been scheduled for eight weeks already. My sister was a diabetic also and had been since the age of two and a half. At that early age, the early 50's, something happened that caused some brain damage to her. After high school, she became involved with a local organization, Carey Industries, that worked with the challenged. Local industry would bring in work for these individuals to do like sort and package small items. She was also involved with the Special Olympics. The arrangements made were a bit unusual from what I'm used to. For obvious reasons, the was no viewing scheduled for Sunday, Fathers Day, so the viewing was scheduled for Monday from 2 p.m. to six p.m. with the service scheduled for 6 p.m. the same day. This allowed for her friends from CI to attend. Burial then took place Tuesday morning with just my youngest sister, a cousin, and myself going. My cousin brought some balloons that we released. I've had a couple of the sweetest emails from Nick this week and they have been greatly appreciated. This is the reason why Nick hasn't posted anything new in the past few days. Although, I will admit that I did bring some editing work with me since my brother and nephew are also away at Scout Camp this week. This was also another reason for the arrangements, so they could attend. The work I took with me is a book that I'm editing for a published author. It took me awhile to get into a rythym to work on it. I'm used to doing chapters when they are sent, not the entire book. I wasn't sure about my internet time. The local Uni that I go to to use their free wireless, doesn't allow you goto any sites that have anything to with LGBT. So that meant sites like Awesomedude and Gay Authors are blocked. I did go to a friend of mines house, but we spent too much time doing other things, don't go there, to go online. I found out last night, out of curiousity, that one of my brothers neighbors has an unsecured wireless network set up. Do guess how this post is being done. Jan
  15. Nick, having worked with you, Graeme, and Yaalc, I can say that all three of you are all good in your own right. I also appreciate your thoughts a prayers at this time. I'll do a blog entry of my own so that people will know what is going on. Jan
  16. Welcome to GA. You can also post in the Editors Corner for a editor as well. Talonrider
  17. Some sound advice there, Nick, my boy. Now if people would just follow it. I went thru something similar in here one time. I was doing 15 mph in a school zone and the crossing guard motioned for me to slow down. Here in PA., the speed limit is 15 when the lights are flashing. So I don't know what the old farts problem was. Jan
  18. On some guy's, I find this style offensive. On others, additional eye candy. I've seen some of those cop show's where suspects are chased where that style. It tends to make them easier to catch as they run very fast and wind up falling down. They also can't seem to run very fast while trying to hold up their pants either. Jan
  19. The Cruiser was financed for $26,878.20 and was paid off back in November. The original sticker price was $27,030.00. The dealership gave me $4,000 in trade for the PT. The sticker price for the Mustang was just over $23,000. The dealership was also located just over the county line. That county isn't considered a suburb of Philly, so it was cheaper. One thing that I did like about the PT was the seats for long trips. They were more like chairs and with the driver side armrest, I could set the speed control and sit comfortably for miles. It could also sit 4 passengers comfortably with plenty of leg room for the backseat passengers.
  20. This past week was an interesting one for me. I bought a new car, worked on some new chapters from Empathy and Nick, bought a new car, received a book to edit for CPL, attended Coaster Madness 2007. And did I mention I bought a new car? On Friday, I went to Coaster Madness, an annual event hosted by Dorney Park and Wild Water Kingdom for coaster and amusement park clubs. From 8:30 a.m. til 10:00 a.m., before the park opened to the general public, we Exclusive Ride Time (ERT) on Thunderhawk, Steel Force and Laser. Lunch was provided and I won a door prize, three coffee cups with pictures from the parks past. From 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., after the park closed to the general public, we had ERT on The Wild Mouse, Hydra, and The Talon. There's nothing like a night ride on a coaster. Our ERT was cut short by a half hour due to a storm that rolled in. There was a chance of rain forecast and I was hoping it would hold off until we were done for the night. We also do our annual linen inventory around this time of year and my boss was kind enough to fill in for me so that I could attend. Bad Seed 6 and Stacking My Claim 16 have been sent back to their authors. I've also taken up a new challenge. I'm doing a special project for CPL. I've never worked with a published author. Instead of working on individual chapters, I have the entire book to do. Sorry, no spoiler here. This past Wednesday, I traded my 2001 PT Cruiser, paid off since November, for a 2007, Torch Red, Ford Mustang. I decided it was time to trade instead of waiting until later this year. I spent a good part of Saturday washing, adding some black pin stripes and waxing it. The fun part about getting the car was, I didn't tell anyone That I was going to do it so there was a few surprised people at work when they saw it.
  21. HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLD BOB.
  22. At least I'm not the only one now, that I know of, who have had their avatar or screen name used in a story. Jan
  23. I suspect that the old tunnel leads to the church. I'm not fond of Chris being take to a prison for protection. Who knows, the Piedmont Sheriff could have an insider that that will let him know they have Chris. And I see that Graeme made an appearance in this chapter. Jan
  24. Trust is something you have to build on and earn. Jan
