    And back to the mighty raptor. The first Sunday of August is for Sisters and Families. In case you didn't know, the United States Coast Guard is one of the six United States Armed Forces. While this maritime service is a branch of the military, they are also a multi-missioned service. During peacetime, it operates under the Department of Homeland Security. However, their responsibilities can be transferred to the US Navy by the President of the United States any time deemed necessary, or by Congress during war times. It's National Friendship Day, so I will supply the Chocolate Chip Cookies.

    And back to me. It's still not going to be the best of days to Play Outside, hot and humid again today. If it's breezy at the shore, then go and build a Sandcastle. National VFR Day is the first Saturday in August on the National Day Calendar, and we are showing support for Veterans and First Responders needing mental health services. North Dakota Tourism is celebrating National Sunflower Day. It's National Summit Day, so start climbing.

    And back to me. We'll have Water Balloon fights this afternoon with frequent breaks for Ice Cream Sandwich's. Later today, we'll break out the Coloring Books. We'll sip on International Beers while we color them.

    And back to me, again. Here we are at the end of July. We'll start the day with Avocado and finish the day with Raspberry Cake. In between, we'll spend time playing with the mixed breed dogs known as Mutts.
